Then collapse onto comfortable couches and catch the latest episode of your favorite Netflix shows on the 49” Roku TV. The next day, plan a hike into the stupendous canyons of the Sierra Gigante, take a boat ride to the white sand beaches of Coronado Island, or cook a sumptuous dinner in your well-appointed kitchen for your new friends. Relax and repeat.
The Villages of Loreto Bay is a private planned community located about 10 minutes drive from the town of Loreto and sandwiched between the majestic Sierra la Giganta mountain range and the calm, warm waters of the Sea of Cortez. Our community has winding stone paths, beautifully landscaped with phenomenal architecture, and only one street --the Paseo, with restaurants and a few small shops. The development has 24 hour security guards and is peaceful and calm. The town of Loreto is one of the few that has been designated by Mexico as a "Pueblo Magico" -- it is a prosperous, well-organized town with an authentic, old-time Mexican vibe and no high-rise condominiums or swarms of vendors. The people of the town are sweet and hospitable and wonderful cultural explorations are possible, including ancient missions and colorful fiestas on the town plaza. The Sea of Cortez offers numerous natural and wildlife wonders -- Jacques Cousteau called it "The Aquarium of the World." You can swim with whale sharks, dolphins, and sea lions, and in the winter there are humpbacks and blue whales and visiting orcas. Sport fishing and diving are legendary. The mountains offer challenging hikes and bouldering in slot canyons with hidden pools of clear water. This area offers everything you could imagine for a vacation with both adventure and relaxation.
Loreto Bay is about a ten minute drive from Loreto International Airport. Car rentals are available at the airport, taxis are readily available at the airport, in town, and at the hotel (one minute walk from the house). There are restaurants and a few small stores in our community, including grocery stores with all necessary supplies at reasonable prices.

We love Loreto Bay! The two casitas that we stayed in were both wonderful - close to the beach and well appointed. The hosts were responsive. We loved the tips on the restaurants and going fishing with Jorge and out to the islands with Mayel. A morning beach walk to see the sunrise and then the beach - snorkeling and swimming. So relaxing! Great restaurants - favorites are the Bistro and Azul (amazing thanksgiving dinner).
We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Serena. The wonderful location, the amenities, and attractively furnished and comfortable living areas made our stay relaxing and memorable.
The Casa was superb - location, community, amenities (beach, pools). It is also well laid out so that 2 couples can easily stay. We enjoyed the bikes and the resort is pretty to cruise around. The restaurants were excellent - Azul and Le Bistro were favorites - we will be back!
Loreto what a wonderful place and what a wonderful place to stay while there
We loved our residence and look forward to visiting again soon. If I had to complain it would be if there has been four of us one of the couples would have had to stay in the first floor bedroom and that bed needs to be replaced as is just two springy, if someone moves in the night the other person wakes up. But like I said we were very happy there, loved sitting outside on the patios, Loved the neighbors and all was good.
Overall this was a lovely spot and excellent property. We did notice some of the extras included were worn out.. bikes, snorkel gear. Property manager was very responsive and helpful.
Large village with well groomed grounds. A car is necessary for long stays and a golf cart is good for getting around the property.A good kayak , is a good idea for this casa allowing snorkeling off the kayak. Swimming pools were crowded with kids and lap pool for lappers only. Some good resturants
Casa Serena had everything we needed, in a quiet, safe neighborhood with nice amenities. Suzie was very responsive, as was her local property manager, Ethel.
Location is handy to beach, pools, Wine Bar and Bistro. It was a great homebase for our week. Well equipped; we appreciated the use of the kayak. Bikes could use a bit of upkeep. Look for the hummingbird nest at the very top stair railing.

Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Unfortunately, when we arrived, the host had not provided the security code so it took a while to get it. Then when we did get in, we discovered the place had not been cleaned. So we had to wander around and kill about three hours before we could actually get in and get settled. The house is in a great location, but some of the items in it are worn. The kitchen faucet was a bit leaky. Some of the lamps needed to be plugged in or off to use. One night, one of the smoke detectors beeped intermittently as the battery was dying and woke us up.The hairdryer was broken, although there was a curling brush that I improvised with. Sports equipment is in very poor shape by and large. If you play racket sports bring your own. Caretakers Eli and Ethel were very responsive and helpful whenever I contacted them. Not the owner‘s fault but the neighbours across the road have two small very yappy dogs and they reacted every time anybody walked by. Living room furniture not meant for lounging. Lovely patio space though upstairs for daytime use
Mostly good. We did think it odd that only 1 roll of toilet paper was supplied per bathroom. It was listed that we would have bottled water. We were supplied with 1/2 bottle. When we requested more. There was an additional fee
This property is ideally situated for walks on the beach around Nopolo Rock. The villa is spacious and well stocked although items are getting to be a bit worn. Appliances worked well and there was lots of hot water. The bikes were fun, but are not in great shape. The kayak was excellent, although we couldn't use it a lot as it was windy most days. The owner and manager were very responsive to any problems and fixed things immediately. We had an active hummingbird nest on the upper deck and it was amazing to watch the chicks grow.
Ideal location with comfortable beds! We loved our stay & the owner was attentive to our needs. We loved riding the bikes around the community. People are friendly & great restaurants within walking distance.
This property was ideal for a family vacation - great location with all-of the toys such as bikes, kayaks and racquets to keep us busy! Felt very safe in the complex with security guards at the gate! Mexican people very friendly in the town of Loreto!
We have stayed in several other homes in Lareto Bay Susie's was very well equipped the bikes were excellent to use the kayak we did not use but look lovely if you are a kayaker great location very close to the beach nice home with everything you need very comfortable beds beautiful surroundings
We've stayed here before and love the location and the extra play amenities! It's the only place with I've found with all the toys I'd want and the kitchen equipped with all my needs! Thank you for sharing your Casa!
Nice casa, great location, great owner communication.
I have been renting Casa’s in Loreto Bay for several years, for periods ranging from one week to one month. It is a great walking town, with amenities (restaurants, market, golf club, beach, pools, Jorge’s kayak shack, the coffee shop, etc., spread out. So Casa location is important. This is a great location in the early Founders Neighborhood. It is set up exactly as described in the listing. On the larger, Loreto Bay scale, the landscaping is gorgeous and streets and paths and infrastructure are well maintained and safe.
