Fantastic house, great views of the ocean! Everything we needed or wanted was there, positive interactions with the host, would definitely stay there again.
House has amazing views, and very nice balcony where we spent our early morning listening to ocean and birds before we head off to the beach walking. The walk itself is very nice and calming. The house is also very clean especially kitchen ware are ready to be used and no need to be cleaned again.
What a lovely place to enjoy for a short stay in Lorne. The house was perfect for our group with a big lounge area with a fireplace (which we used to make a cozy fire) and 4 bedrooms (we were 3 couples plus 2 children). Everything was clean and tidy. A highlight was the deck from which we could watch a koala in an adjacent tree and enjoy visits by friendly kookaburras, cockatoos and king parrots.

Thank you Rolf for taking the time to write such a lovely and detailed review. We are very happy to read that you enjoyed your stay and our beach house.
We were a group of 11. Great and responsive communication with host, easy check in and layout and amenities of property were top notch. Highly recommend and hope to be back soon. Thank you.
The house is well stocked with crockery and cutlery meaning we never felt rushed to run the dishwasher despite there being a group of us.
Comfortable beds all round
Me and few friends stayed here for a weekend. I was gorgeous so many incredible photo opportunities. About a 3 min drive to Main Street. Everything is perfectly clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend for a getaway with big families or friends.
We spent a long weekend at this beautiful house celebrating my sons 18th birthday with some family and a small group of his friends. It perfectly matched our needs and was spacious enough even when confined to indoors due to the weather!
The provision of some thoughtful kitchen items for cooking was appreciated and the kitchen overall was very well stocked with plenty of crockery, glassware etc.
Topped off by great communication from the host, we were very happy and would definitely visit again.
This a beautifully decorated and extremely clean house that has everything you need for a wonderful stay. The views are stunning and the garden includes a hammock, 2 outdoor sitting areas and a large grass area for the kids to run around in. Inside it has lovely high ceiling and a large dining table and couch with plenty of games for the kids. It is walking distance to town and the host was warm and helpful the whole time. Would definitely go back again.

Thanks Sam for taking the time to write such a great and detailed review. Super pleased you enjoyed your stay.
Lovely house in a great location. Works well for 2 families. Loved the large deck and even spotted a koala in neighbouring tree. Only fault was we ran out of gas for BBQ and spare gas bottle also empty. Otherwise house was very well equipped , clean and comfortable.
Everything about this home was PERFECT.
This home was very comfortable for all 12 of us.
Plenty of room for us all, for us all to be in one place without triping over each other. One of our favorite this was the back deck, we spent most of the time out there and where lucky enough to see a koala.
we walked into town (one steep section then the rest very easy) had a swim then a short walk home.
Beautiful spacious house, catering for the whole family (plenty of entertainment for the kids), some beach equipment provided, and a large front yard.
Enjoyed our morning nespresso coffees looking out at the ocean. We even had a friendly kookaburra and king parrot visit. Short 10min walk to the shops (but steep hill, so admittedly drove a few times).
Quick and easy communication with the owner, who even adjusted our bedding requirements 2 days before check in.
We will definitely come back here. Absolutely fell in love with this home!
It’s a very old house the rooms and space are very small
The check-in process was not smooth. I read reviews from others before I made the booking but didn’t understand it back then, now I know why. I would like to put in the details here:
I asked if an early check-in would be possible when I made the booking, 3pm is quite late. The property manager said she would discuss it with me at a closer date. I contacted her about 10 days before the check-in date, she told me that’s impossible immediately. When I asked about the property address, she said she would send it to me the next day. I waited for one week until 3 days prior to the check in, still didn’t receive anything, then I have to ask again the address and check in details. Finally she sent me the property address, she said she would send me the check in code on Monday in her email. Our check in date was Tuesday. On Monday evening, I asked her about the code for check in, she replied: “I don’t understand why you ask about the code today…it’s not been reset yet blabla…. what do you want more from me?!” I was a bit shocked with her rude attitude, but replied: I asked because you told me you would send it to me on Monday, that’s all.
The space looks big because there are mirrors everywhere. The photos you see online make you image it’s big.
Most importantly I like to remind others: they have installed cameras, I am not sure where. The check out time is 10pm, I called her at around 9:40am because I couldn’t open the safety box to put in the keys. She answered the phone, the first thing she said was: “someone is washing the car, that is not nice! Stop it!” We stopped, but I am wondering if washing your car is prohibited. I thought it’s like a shower and it’s before the check out time.
I am 100% sure that Miss Belinda will deny everything I described above. From other reviewers, this lady is very good at this.
Finally, if you dare to charge extra any $ to my credit card simply because I give this review and because you hold my credit card details, I WILL take you to the court.

I shall leave the reader to decide how much credibility they give to Julia’s review.
My experience with dealing with Julia as a guest was as unpleasant as her review,
Julia booked the house for 13 people. Communication with her was not easy. Language issue perhaps? Regarding comments made- I can confirm that the photos of the house are true - no trick photography and taken with a iphone. We accommodate when possible early check ins but they are not possible when there is a checkout on the same day, as in this case. This being because the house is thoroughly cleaned between guests. There are cameras and that is listed in the property details - these focussed on the driveway, front door and back stairs and are for security when the house is not occupied, Julia and her group left the house in a shocking state - dirty, damaged and messy. Further they used the outdoor area as an ash tray. Despite taking no care treat the property with respect, they thought it appropriate (despite water restrictions) to clean their 5 cars after checking out. Her threat about court action is comical. Given the state Julia left the house in, I would indeed be entitled to ask stayz to recoup from her the extra costs I incurred but, enough energy has been spent on Julia, whom I would never host again. And I would caution all other hosts not to accept any booking request from her.
If any reader has questions regarding the review - please ask.
Helpful, communicative owner and delightful property
Can't recommend highly enough - was a treat to stay over the summer!

About the host
Hosted by Belinda
Grew up close to the beach and love the waves which is why this home is ideal for us.
Why they chose this property
We love being able to enjoy koalas in our garden while also being so close to the beach and the forest.
Why Lorne ..... Lorne is a unique Victorian coastal town where the lush Otway Ranges rainforest directly meets the sandy shores of Loutit Bay along the Great Ocean Road. It is distinct for having over 10 waterfalls within a 10-minute drive of town, a Mediterranean-style village atmosphere, and a protected north-facing beach.
What makes this property unique
The house offers a unique space for 2 families with kids. The bedroom and bathroom spacing allowing for privacy and personal space.
And enough space for larger groups of friends or work colleagues attending local conferences.
