Highland Live / Work Awaysis

The Highland Awaysis is our condo at the center of Lower Highland (LoHi). The Awaysis provides an excellent live/work environment, steps from the most exciting neighborhoods in Denver. There are more than 50 restaurants within five blocks of the Snug. The Snug has a walk score of 90.

Located on Upper 15th Street, the Awaysis is a short walk or ride to Union Station, the 16th Street Mall bus, light rail, Coors Field, Pepsi Center, Mile High Stadium, and downtown Denver. The Awaysis is at street level, so has easily accessed from and to 15th Street.

The lower level (about 1200 sq. ft.) is a lock-off suite with a large living room, master bedroom, full bathroom and kitchen. The living room has a sunroof ceiling that keeps it bright and comfortable. A Murphy bed in the kitchen provides a second sleeping area that can be separated from the living room by a sliding wall. The master bedroom has a queen bed, a desk and private door into the bathroom.

The upper level contains another loc-off suite, about 600 sq ft, and a second living room with a half bath. The washer/dryer are located off of that living room.

Includes Xfinity cable TV and high-speed Internet. There is a flat screen TV and surround sound system in living room.

Three off-street parking spaces are included in a secure lot, with additional spaces available from the HOA at $150 per month. So close to everything that a car is not needed. There are scooters and bikes everywhere that make short trips around the neighborhood easy.

First the location can not be beat. You are a 30 min or less walk away from anywhere in the city. All sports arenas, food, drinks everything. The are was clean and communication was top notch. Had everything you would need for extended stays. Cant wait to come back!

Amazing Location, Great Unit!

Had a wonderful stay at the Highland Snug. William is an excellent host - from the attention to detail and time spent getting me up to speed on the unit and location when I first arrived, to the ongoing open communication. I can't imagine a better location - the lower highland area is super nice, clean, and with plenty of restaurants, some literally right outside the front door ( but are quiet locales, if that were a concern ). Good sized gated parking area which was a nice plus. Very glad I pulled the trigger on this rental - would love to visit again sometime in the future.

“Work from home” done right!!

We had a wonderful time at the Snug. As we were long term rentals, I was a bit nervous to live below ground. Rest assured there is plenty of natural light! The Snug has plenty of room if you have more than one individual working remotely. The Murphy bed also had a few users and all my friends/family said it was comfortable! The LoHi area is amazing - so many fun restaurants and bars in walking distance. Additionally, there is a walking/biking trail extremely close by.

Great Location, Great Amenities

The snug was a perfect place for my me and my friend to stay for a month while looking for more permanent housing in Denver. It was well-equipped with everything we needed (kitchenware, TV, bikes, blankets/towels, laundry machine, etc.). Even though it is a basement-level apartment and has no windows, there is a greenhouse roof that allows light to come in from above. William was a very helpful host and was around a lot to help answer questions and make sure we were enjoying our stay.

Excellent Location and Spacious Living

My wife and I had an extended stay at Highland Snug during summer 2020. We really enjoyed our stay. The location of the place is very near great LoHi restaurants, near the river and park, and an easy commute to downtown Denver. We took full advantage of the two bikes that came with the rental. Bill was very responsive to any of our questions and was a great host all summer. We wished our stay didn't have to end.

This Snug was the perfect location to most of Denver’s points of interest!

We had a great vacation in Denver! Bill met up with us the day after we got in to go over the ins and outs of the apartment. He responded immediately when we needed help with the parking lot gate. The snug was clean and well equipped to use for cooking, including spices! Bill checked in with us to be sure all was going well. It was a perfect place to stay in Denver to see the city and mountain sights!

Great little place!

I came into Denver for a conference. The Snug is in a great neighborhood with lots of good restaurants and cafes. William was great to work with. My wife accidentally locked me out and William was able to get me in within a matter of minutes. It was clear that he cares about his tenants. There is one minor detail worth mentioning. The plastic covering by the stairwell doesn't provide much noise abatement so it can get a little loud when people are upstairs talking or working. The upstairs was going through a renovation so I am not sure what the hours will be. I would confirm with William before booking to ensure maximum quiet/privacy. That said, the place is great and William is fantastic to work with.

Perfect location!

The location of the VRBO was perfect! We walked to restaurants, shopping and even Mile High fairly easily. Make sure to check if the owner is available to pick you up at Union Station before booking. We booked believing this would happen and then told they were out of town and someone else would be. Then a few days before our trip found out nobody would be there. We took a $30+ Uber from the airport which ended up being cheaper than paying for the train to Union Station and got dropped off at the front door. We had a great weekend and would stay here again.

Pat and Bill were wonderful hosts, and I really enjoyed my stay at the Snug. It had all the comforts of home, it was located in a wonderful neighborhood close to fun restaurants / bars / the Platte River walk, and there were bikes to ride.

We loved this location in LoHi. Pat & Will were responsive and helpful upon arrival. We didn't need anything from this place, it had it all. Scooters and Ubers right outside the door for easy transportation to Downtown or beyond. They also had bikes for us to use in the apartment. Bed was very comfortable, good size bathroom, extra fan and kitchen with full size fridge/freezer! I only wish we would have booked our stay for longer.

Really the owner uses the upstairs of the apartment and he has business meetings there. One of the owners came in Sunday morning without even calling. Creepy. Not the owners' fault but living without windows for 2 days was just too much for us. We weren't in the apartment much but without windows any time is almost too much time

PERFECT GETAWAY IN DENVER

My husband and I stayed Highland Snug for a week in March. I had a conference to attend at the Denver Convention Center about a mile away. The unit has a perfect location. Very comfortable, and walking distance to so many great shops and restaurants. We had a rental car which was parked safely in a gated parking lot. The security was excellent. Will was very accessible and communicated the first few day to make sure we were comfortable with the heat and AC. We had quite a variety of weather within one week. Started out with 3 days with weather in the mid 70's and 2 days in the 50's and 2 more days with a little snow! The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking pots, pans, utensils, tableware, coffee maker, coffee, tea and multiple spices. The appliances were awesome. The full sized fridge had the best ice maker! There are 3 flat screened TV's (even one in the kitchen!) There is great Comcast Cable TV and Xfinity internet. It was very convenient to have our own private washer and dryer. The "Snug" is very nicely furnished and had a great king sized bed. The bed and bath linens/towels were high quality. There are 2 very comfortable sofas and even a Murphy bed, that we didn't need to use. Overall, this was a real bargain for someone who needed to work as well as relax. Also, it was a great couples/romantic getaway We couldn't have asked for anything finer. Thank you Will for a wonderful week at your Highland Snug!

We loved staying at the Snug—great downtown Denver location, spacious accommodations, and gated, off-street parking. LoHi is walking distance to restaurants, shops, the 16th Street Mall and 3 major sporting venues. The Snug has a well-equipped kitchen and spacious eating area. The king-sized bed was super comfortable, and we loved the ability to use two living room areas. We enjoyed meeting the owner who met us when we arrived, and would definitely like to stay at the Snug again.

This is our second stay in the Snug. It's near the hip part of the city with lots of restaurant options and a short walk to the train station. It's roomy and comfortable and clean. Since we enjoy walking, we never used the bikes, but liked the fact that it was a block from the river bike trail. We recommend for any couple wanting to explore the city.
