Modern 3 Bedroom House with Raised Position on a quiet street, only a short 5 minute walk to the local grocery shop.

Council tennis courts/volley ball/childrens play area at the rear of the property.
Only 200m from the beach. Seaviews and on a marvellously sunny site. Fairy dell at the South end of the village for children to play in - in a cutting at the edge of the forest.
Decks front and rear to relax on. Some outdoor furniture, sunbrella and BBQ provided.

Stereo and DVD/TV player and Bluetooth Music Centre included. Large Nood style dining table with 8 chairs in open plan dining/lounge/kitchen area.

3 individual bedrooms, 2 with luxury queens, and master bedroom with king bed and ensuite bathroom.

Fantastic stay!

We loved staying at this property. It was well appointed with everything we needed and extra. We had a great night sleep. The house has three decks to capture the sun is a great location too. We definitely recommend this house. :-)

4 Nights with the Kids

I was impressed with this rental. Finally we found a place to relax in, instead of making do with. There was everything we needed, including outdoor spaces to relax in. The kitchen had everything we could need to make our own meals. The kids loved the board games and DVDs. I didn't miss the wifi at all.

Owner was very helpful with ideas of what to do in the area, house was modern, very clean and in a great location. We had a wonderful time here! Well worth the money compared to others we looked at. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay :)

Retired professional couple who loved the quietness and relaxed beach village feel. We live in Lower Hutt so this is our beach holiday house. I am enjoying developing a garden at the property.
We bought the section for the house - which
was moved from Lower Hutt, about 4 years ago. The house was bought at a special fund raiser auction for Cancer Kids and raised $143000 for them.

Why they chose this property

Waitarere is the beach town for a small city nearby - Levin. Also there are 3 other nearby towns, all with their own features... Shannon, Otaki/Otaki Beach and Foxton/Foxton Beach. The large city of Palmerston North is only 30 minutes drive away, with airport, trains, cinemas, museums, supermarkets, and a large university.
Levin is the centre of a market gardening area. It has a good range of shops and supermarkets, and a bus stop for regional services.
Shannon is a small village which features 2nd hand and antique shops.
Foxton has a golf course, a large museum/library featuring Dutch immigration and local history. Foxton was a port and had a large flax industry. There is a working windmill that produces flour of many varieties. 5 km away is Foxton beach and a large inlet and an ocean beach. The shopping centre features a number of 2nd hand and craft shops.
OTAKI has a range of Outlet stores, market garden shops and a beach area.

What makes this property unique

The house has great sun with the back deck perfect for breakfast, and the front deck great for late afternoon drinks and nibbles, until the amazing sunset over the sea.
Waitarere beach is unusual in that vehicles can drive on the beach, with the firm flat sand beaches stretching for miles North and South. Great for 4wd sand bikes and sail boarding and wind surfing.
There is a surf club which operates a safe swim area on the main holiday weekends in summer.
There are 2 camping/caravan parks.
There are pine forest bike and walk trails just North and South of the village, with a kids fairy dell play area.
The Tongariro National Park with 3 mountains is 2.5 hours away, with numerous walks, canoeing, winter skiing, and bike trails.
