Tastefully decorated Private Home in Marathon. Enjoy the pool with optional Heat for the winter months. Situated near the airport ✈ with easy boating access to the gulf or the ocean via Vaca Cut. Private dock with fish cleaning station and with water and electric on the dock. Large storage room for storing all of your fishing and diving gear with a separate bait freezer. For your outdoor cooking enjoy the gas barbecue grill. This home is also equipped with a deep freezer and a 150 lb ice maker. Comfortable 2 Bedrooms 2 Bathrooms an additional Sofa bed. Windows in the bedrooms have black out shades to provide a good nights sleep. Cool central A/C, Washer and Dryer. Internet equipped and Cable TV in the bedrooms and living room. Kitchen has appliances with a gas stove top, dish washer, and equipped with most kitchen essentials. The bedrooms have a fantastic view of the water.. The living room has a slight view of the Gulf and is very pleasant for sitting with your coffee in the early mornings. We provide outdoor cameras for the driveway and the dock for your convienne during your stay. There are no indoor cameras and no cameras for the pool area. Our goal is to assist you in enjoying this beautiful home as much as we do.

Great place! Great host! tons of amenities not listed. Huge projector TV was an awesome bonus for football! The kids got selfies with manatees in the canal 10 minutes after pulling up very cool experience!!!

Fishing paradise

We had an awesome stay! We came down from NC to fish in the keys… this house is built for fishing. It has a well lit dock , fresh water access and a fish cleaning station. The house is filled with so much character. Sue was extremely prompt and she was just a text away if we needed anything. Great location with easy boat access to the Atlantic and gulf. We will be staying here again, hopefully soon!

The house was very unique and clean! The property was well kept. Location was a bit noisy due to planes taking off at the nearby airport but not overly distracting. Lots of good shopping and restaurants nearby! We had a very relaxing stay!

Sue was a great host. Very good communication, quick to respond and very helpful. Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay - thanks for sharing your home with us.Some highlights:Kitchen: stocked with everything we needed and more - extras like paper plates, cooking oil and spices, etc. were all there. Plenty of dishes, silverware, and pans were on the ready. Patio and pool: Amazing and well thought out. Pool was clean, heated, nice and salt water based. Beautiful well thought out landscaping and is super private. Audio system both inside the home and out by the patio were very much appreciated and an unexpected treat. Around 7 outside speakers in the landscaping and under the patio to immerse you in sound (we kept it low enough to not disturb other home owners but just a cool stereo system overall when relaxing outside. The home has whole house audio with controls in each room and a projector TV in the living room. The system is a little “techie” which was fine for me but my girls all needed some help when using the TV and audio. We saw manatees in the canal - beautiful and peaceful creatures - incredible!Bathrooms, beds and layout were comfy and we felt at home.Plenty of towels, beach towels and extras and little forgotten things the host made available. Not to forget, the outdoor poolside toilet - Loved it!Great location - close enough and central to stores, beaches, restaurants, etc. Highly recommended overall.

We had an amazing time at this charming home & property! The house is as pictured, beautifully decorated, clean, well stocked. The wrap around deck had amazing views & the pool was great. Quiet street but still close to everything. I would highly recommend this property! 5 stars

Anniversary Trip

We had an awesome week at the Tiki Chalet. The house was great! Very spacious, hi tech with auto shades, thermostat and audio. Host was very attentive and easy to communicate with. We will be back!

Awesome Dock and Refreshing Pool!

The house was clean and had everything that we needed. It was really hot, and the pool was clean and refreshing. The patio area was shaded and very comfortable as well. The neighborhood was quiet, and there was good privacy. The dock was perfect for our boat!

Perfect house and location!

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The house and property were perfect! We loved the pool and patio area and being able to have the house’s stereo playing music in that area. We had a larger boat with us and it fit at the dock perfectly! We will definitely remember this house for the next time we decide to visit Marathon.

Good times

Even though the weather did not cooperate, this property was great! The pool was wonderful and the boat was an added benefit, although again not used as much as we wished. House has everything you need!

Marathon, my happy place!

Great house! Beautifully landscaped yard and pool! The music lover in me appreciated the whole house sound system, even outside. Rented the boat, it ran great and was sooo convenient. I really appreciated Sue's responsiveness to every message I sent her way. Will definitely be back 🏝

Marathon Manatees

We stayed for 3 weeks ,This place is awesome ,bikes ,kayaks,pool ,on the canal .we did fish in the canal and caught some small fish which kept the grandson busy.The loacation is near restaurants and grocery store and the Marathon airport so there is plane noise at times .Everybody had a great time the only negative was the weather could have been a little better a times ,But who can control That .Thanks Sue the Forehead Family

Lovely home

House was a delightful place to live for two weeks. Very well equipped and centrally located. Don’t forget to make reservations at Franks Deli. Short walk. Excellent food and service. The only negative was grilling on the patio required going up and down a set of stairs if you ate in the lovely kitchen area. No question. We would stay again. Tom and Sue

Perfect Getaway

This house was absolutely perfect for our vacation. The location is very convenient for shopping and restaurants. Our days were spent lounging by the pool and non-stop fishing. Having the ice machine was absolutely amazing (and saved many, many trips to the store). We loved the projection screen TV and the automatic shades for the windows. We would definitely rent this house again! - I can't forget to mention how genius it was to make the outside Tiki bathroom- not having to dry off to go inside gets absolutely 5 stars!

Wonderful Getaway

We spent a week at the Tiki Chalet and couldn't have been happier. The property owner, Sue, is a pleasure to work with and the property is absolutely fabulous. It is stocked up on everything you would need--pots, pans, etc.--as well as surround-sound music and a giant projector T.V. The home is located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood and offers a beautiful backyard patio that overlooks the canal. We saw manatees, fish, and a variety of birds while we sat out back. It was a wonderfully, peaceful getaway that we really enjoyed. We will definitely be back!

Paradise in Marathon

Everything about this VRBO was amazing. The kitchen was well equipped.Bathrooms were clean and spacious.Loved the Tommy Bahama furniture throughout the home.It instantly gave you a vacation vibe. I think my husbands favorite was the projection screen tv that turned the living room into a movie theater and the surround sound in every room and outside. The outside balcony deck gave you amazing views .The pool and outside patio(various seating and fridge)was great to relax on after a day of kayaking or exploring the Keys.I highly recommend the Tiki Chalet!!! Also the host was very helpful and promptly answered any questions or concerns it might have had.

Perfect House!

Beautiful house, very clean and well stocked! TP, paper towels, gas for grill, and the icemaker saved us hundreds of dollars not having to buy ice. Beds were super comfortable, slept great! Great pool to cool off in after boating. Lots of covered space underneath with plenty of chairs and lounge chairs. Beautiful landscaping. Boat dock has plenty of room and new rubber rails to protect your boat. First canal right off the bay, so easy access to the back bay and a short trip to Vaca Cut to get to the ocean. Best house we've stayed in the keys and we've been down there 8 times. Great vacation! Thanks!

Highly Recommended

Sue, is an excellent host. She answered every question I had in a very timely manner. The house was outstanding. Including the projection TV. Must be 10 feet wide. Awsome to watch a movie along with the sound system they have installed. The salt water pool was very clean and enjoyable. We also rented their boat for the week. It was a breezy week. So, we didn't take advantage of the fishing as we would have liked. All in all, we had an excellent time and would highly recommend this rental. AAA+++++. Hope to do this again. Thanks Sue!

Nice but uneasy

Sue was very communicative, and the property pictures were accurate with the exception of the cameras located on the property. No where in the description did it indicate there would be 7 cameras. We felt uneasy that we were being watching virtually anywhere on the property We can understand having a camera to watch your property, but this seemed a little excessive. The ipad inside had the potential of being turned-on to hear and see us.

Erica, thank you for your feedback. Just to clarify, we don't have any cameras in any private areas including the pool area. The cameras are there for your security and safety. I do have notes in the book in the house referencing the cameras. Since your review, I'll promptly make sure it is posted in a better way for any future guests. The ipad is there for the guest convivence in the event they want to view the outdoor cameras, I have no access to the ipad. We have guest who bring their boats, fishing and diving gear and the cameras provide them with additional security. I wish you would have contacted me as you could have turned off the security cameras. Thank you for renting our home.

We kept our boat at Faro Blanco in the summers where our children learned to snorkel and dive.We are so happy to have a home in Marathon. We love boating, fishing, snorkeling and diving, and we think that the water here in Marathon is clear and beautiful. We hope to share our experiences with you and hope that you will enjoy Marathon as much as we do.

The home is very unique, with stone counter tops and the inside thatch ceiling and looks like a tiki inside. It is very unusual and you may have to see this to appreciate it. The house is accommodating and comfortable. With plenty of room for your automobile and trailer parking.
