My girlfriend and I came up here to stay for a quiet weekend where we could do as much or as little as we wanted, and we got exactly what we needed. Half our time was spent either soaking in the view or relaxing in the shade outside. Even sat in the hot tub and watched a storm come across the valley. We cooked a couple meals and enjoyed a movie or two after dark and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay with no stress
We were looking for a place to spend what would have been our wedding weekend (cancelled because of COVID). Pops cottage was PERFECT. Gorgeous view, privacy, fire pit, hot tub, king sized bed, and full kitchen. We spent the weekend hiking and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Host was communicative and welcoming!
The cabin is cute and the view is nice. Depending on the weather the drive up is steep, I would want a 4wheel drive in the winter. The road is paved.
Overall, I liked it. The cable worked well. It was a nice stay. My husband loved the hot tub.
Convenience was for the NOC Rafting trip we had planned. It is 15-20 minutes from downtown Bryson. Road to property was a single lane road on a twisty incline! Place is due for renovations, but a great view from the porch. It is a 1-room cabin (seemed to be a garage converted over 20 years ago), so a bit pricey compared to my other less expensive rental (a two bedroom place with a living room, fireplace and wrap around porch).
This is a very nice little cabin. Everything was clean and comfortable. The view was incredible!! And the hot tub under the stars on a chilly night was the cherry on top! Michael was wonderful to communicate with!
We really enjoyed our stay at Pop’s Cottage. They views were amazing and you cannot beat the location with Bryson City, the NOC, and Deep Creek all just a short drive away. We only wish we could have stayed longer!
The property was just as described. Very clean and very beautiful. I will defiantly book here again in the future. The location of the property and the area around the location is absolutely beautiful.
A fun getaway in the NC mountains. Watching the sunset from the hot tub is awesome. You can chill out at the cabin, visit Bryson City, or enjoy several great hikes at Deep Creek. Unfortunately, pets are not permitted on the trails at the park. If you're planning to take the scenic train ride(s), do your homework on the different trips and departure times. We very much enjoyed our stay at Pop's Cabin. T&B Panama City
The cabin is set in an ideal location and the view from the deck and the hot tub was amazing. Has all the amenities one could ask for a cabin retreat. Host were excellent and extremely understanding when we had a misunderstanding at the end of our stay! For that, myself, my wife and the puppy were extremely appreciative. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!
How many different ways can you say it was perfect?
The cabin was wonderful, the hot tub perfect, the view was amazing. Everything was as advertised, we went to get away from everything and have some quality quiet time and we got exactly that! Thank you!
The cabin is well taken care of and the location is great. The area is quiet, has a nice view and is a short drive from town. We would definitely stay again.
We had a great experience that we'll never forget. I proposed to my girlfriend there, so Pop's will always hold a special place in our hearts. The drive up to the cabin is quite steep and scared my fiancé (especially when icy), but nothing a good car or truck can't handle. Our dog absolutely loved the friendly Daisy that stopped by frequently. If we find ourselves in the Bryson City area again, Pop's will definitely be our go-to.
My partner and I and our dog stayed here over Christmas 2020, and we'd give it a 20/20. Super cozy cabin, picturesque mountain views, lovely and communicative hosts, and there was even a sweet old dog for our puppy to play with. If you're looking for the perfect retreat from reality, look no further than Pop's Cottage.
The view from the balcony is unreal. You see a large stretch of the mountains, with different shades as they stagger. The house itself is simple and clean. Looks very well kept. The driveway is no issue to get up. It looks steeper than it actually is. We didn’t have 4x4. It doesn’t take long at all to get to downtown Bryson or the trails. We’d definitely stay here again.
Perfect cabin for our (family of 4) quick weekend trip to do the Polar Express. Our golden loved visits from sweet Daisy. We only left once the whole weekend for the train ride. We enjoyed the "down time"..cooked over the outdoor fire pit, took a dip in the hot tub. The kitchen is fully stocked, towels/wash cloths are provided (and SO soft), although we brought some with us. We loved the board games- taught our 7 year old how to play monopoly. Cabin is close to restaurants and Ingles grocery store. We loved the Christmas decorations. Thanks for having us!

Pops cabin
Beautiful spot. We enjoyed it.
Perfect size outstanding view. Nice little guard dog watching over us.
Only 1 thing. Pretty steep getting there. Kind of scary.
My partner and I stayed at the pops cottage for our 10 year anniversary, and I really can’t say enough good things about this place. Everything was clean, the bed was comfy, the view was breath taking, daisy their dog was just as sweet as could be. Our puppy also loved her. We’re from Florida, so the view of the season was seriously mind blowing. If you’re looking for a beautiful secluded place, this could not be more perfect. I honestly could not have chosen a better place for our anniversary. And the hot tub With the cool weather, just made it that much better.I really hope we can make our way back here.
