About this property

Former factory is now a One of a kind 2 level loft next to Blue Line California stop. Parking space is outside the gate leading into Compound. Private entry alcove is a former elevator shaft. Main living space has polished heated concrete floors that open out to a large outdoor landscaped terrace. Outdoor areas have dramatic lighting. Gas grill available for use.
Up the Italian floating staircase there a bedroom/office and a large master bedroom with a fabulous mid century bedroom set. A small deck overlooks yard from bedroom. 2nd floor bath has heated floors and large steam shower.
Full size washer and dryer on this level.

Total of 2000 Sq ft of living area.
One block to EL station
Soundproofing used in construction but You do hear muffled train so disposable earplugs
available.

25 minutes on Blue Line to heart of the Loop
Logan Square is one of the more vibrant restaurant area so you have many choices to walk to.

Excellent Accommodations

Urban Oasis in Logan Square - Everything about this property's name says it all. It truly was an oasis in the middle of everything. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Public transportation is steps away. Yet, you feel like you are in a secluded place away from all the traffic and people in Chicago. This place has everything needed for a great stay. It was clean, nicely decorated, great kitchen area, great living room with a big screen TV, 2 spacious bedrooms, and 2 nice size bathrooms. I highly recommend this place.

Perfect Chicago Stay!

Both the indoor & outdoor spaces in this rental are beautiful & also functional. Loved the large, den space with open access to the Kitchen. The bedrooms are very comfortable & the two bathrooms are also great. The garden / patio is wonderful & feels hidden away. We would book this location again & again.

Enjoyed our Stay

Given the current state of our country, this home worked out very well for us. There was ample room in the home and outside on the patio for our family to gather. The home had everything we needed. The home does sit right next to the train track but the noise wasn’t bothersome. I wish times were different because my daughter said there are great restaurants in the area. We would definitely stay again.

An architect's home- excellent place to stay

This is a really unique place. Mark Berlinski seems to be an architect and must have designed the place himself. Very nice guy. The 2-story house has a great spiral staircase, really interesting room/bathroom/kitchen designs, and it's comfortable with giant TV and stereo system. There is a courtyard with patio furniture, grill, campfire pit. It's in what looks like an abandoned warehouse under the L tracks at the end of an alley but it's actually a paradise. It's easy to get used to the train going by. We definitely recommend staying here. It's in a hipster neighborhood with coffee shops, bars, great pizza and ramen, etc.

Also the former parking lot gave me space to create an wonderful outdoor space which is several times larger than most inter city homes.

What makes this property unique

Great location. 30 minutes on train from Ohare and less to downtown. One mile from expressway if you are driving. Several miles east to North Ave beach.
