Just 15 miles from Colorado's world-class Breckenridge ski resort. Copper Mountain, Keystone, and A-Basin are also less than 50 minutes away. Our home is an eclectic mix of new and old. About the host

My husband, Mark, and I are transplants from Kansas City, Mo. I grew up in Kansas City and Mark moved to KC from Buffalo, NY. We moved here permanently after completing the remodel of our house, which took 5 1/2 years! Mark and I are both retired, me from the financial services industry and Mark from photography. We love to hike and go camping with our dog Murphy! In the summer I work for the Mosquito Range Heritage Initiative, leading their Rare Alpine Plant project. I also like to quilt and Mark is a project guy! In fact, Mark built our little house in Alma with some help along the way! We hope that you enjoy your stay!
Why they chose this property
We have always loved Colorado and through the years came skiing and camping with our kids. Then in 2006 life long friends bought a house in Fairplay. When we came to visit, we fell in love with Park County. We bought our home sight unseen in 2007, thinking we would do a fix and flip. When we saw the views, we knew this was the place for us. We moved into our home 5 1/2 yrs later and have no plans to leave any time soon. Park County has so much to offer and the people of Alma and Fairplay are so friendly, we can't think of a better place to live. In 2014, we bought a house in Alma (37 S Oak) thinking we would do a remodel and rent it. However, once we got into it, we realized there was no saving it; so down it came. We had plans drawn up and started from scratch.
