About this property

Welcome Home - You're true homestay experience

Welcome Home! Come and join your friendly hosts Jonathan and Annine as you experience Muizenberg the local way. Our home is a large shared living space where you will have your own private rooms and also a guest bathroom all for yout group only. We are a 5 minute drive away from the world renowned Muizenberg beach but far enough away to feel secluded from the hustle and bustle of the town. It is a perfect spot to enjoy the southern cape peninsula and do self drives to Cape Point and Boulders Beach.

The space

We have a pool, braai area (and weber), an amazingly friendly American bulldog called Gus - he loves people and gives major cuddles (especially after tickling him). It is walking distance to Pick n Pay and Woolworths, in the centre you can find local restaurants, a pharmacy and many other amenities such as ATM's for cash and clothe stores etc. If you don't have a car, it is about a R300 Uber trip to the airport and roughly R30 Uber trip to the world renowned Muizenberg beach. We'd suggest hiring a car as then you have the freedom to tour the beautiful Southern Peninsula.

Guest access

Our guest have access to the whole house, we want you to feel at home and make sure you enjoy your stay in sunny South Africa.

Interaction with guests

Available 24/7 for anything our guests may require.

Other things to note

Jono is a keen surfer and he's very happy to take you surfing for some early morning or late afternoon waves. We cook great homemade meals and love to entertain (braai, curry and other traditional SA food can all be whipped up in our kitchen). As hosts we are also more than happy to take you on drives around town or to the winelands, Southern Peninsula etc. when we have availability.

Tranquil and relaxed home with quick access to the entire Cape in 30 minutes max
Annine and Jono really made my experience of Cape Town and the surroundings a wonderful one. Welcoming and accommodating, they provided great advise on sights and activities and a home away from home environment. If you want to experience the typical daily life in the Cape while taking your own time for tourism and activities, this is the place. I was treated to a genuine South African braai and wine country tour creating unforgettable memories. Jono is very knowledgeable of the area's culture, history, sights and local places (restaurants, beaches, markets, townships...), and can provide customize tours to your liking.
