It has 10 beautiful acres of woods to wander on crisscrossing paths. Unplug and enjoy its large inspiring kitchen and lofty spaces stocked with albums, movies, books, art supplies, and instruments. It is a short 10-minute drive to outdoor adventures on the Delaware River and Sullivan county's hot spots including Narrowsburg, Callicoon, Bethel Woods Arts Center, Skinners Falls, gambling in Monticello and so much more. Enjoy antiquing, fishing, hunting, tubing, rafting, gambling, skiing, farmers markets - or do nothing but relax on the deck and wander in our delightful woods with a stream that never ceases to delight.

House was amazing. Well stocked and beautiful setting, beds were comfortable and the couches were so nice, there was plenty games to do inside and outside was beautiful, there is a little stream about 60 yards away. Parking was plenty and it was easy to navigate to. We had a wonderful stay and will be booking again soon!

Place is awesome, even better than pictured. Beautiful serene woodsy setting. So clean and neat which I really appreciate. It had everything we needed for the 4 of us including a fully equipped kitchen. There is shopping, sightseeing and cool restaurants close enough to the house and are listed in the materials provided. The host could not have been nicer or more accessible. Highly recommend!

Amazing property! The cabin was perfect with a well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, and the privacy we were looking for to relax and reconnect with each other. Movie night, poker night, smores night, board games and listening to music made every night fun and relaxing. We're already making plans to come back! Chris was great with communication and questions, making the whole experience that much better :)

Lovely home ! We stayed for 2 nights, the house is very clean and has all you might need. Chris was quick to answer. The check out process was quick and easy. We loved the small creek in the property. The kitchen was very well stocked. They provide you movies and even a pair of binoculars to bird watch!

This is a fantastic property, in a great location, with an excellent host. Within a day or two of making the booking, Chris was sending me useful, fascinating information about things to do in the area, and the unique features and history of his unique property. My wife and I could not recommend him, and this property, more strongly. We hope to be able to return at the earliest opportunity!!

This was my first time booking a vrbo, but the experience was amazing! We had a wonderful time here and loved the thought and detail put into furnishing the house. There were so many thoughtful touches in terms of decor and experience and we had a wonderful weekend. The environment around the house was also lovely, it was so beautiful to get to sit by the stream and watch the sun coming in through the trees. The house was clean and very well maintained. We couldn’t stop talking about how much we enjoyed our stay and would love to return in the future.

This cabin is a perfect weekend get-a-way! The host was extremely communicative and helpful. The home was spacious, clean and a perfect spot to get away from it all. The property is wooded with walking trails where our dogs had a blast!! Quiet and secluded - yet a short drive to anything you need. We can't wait to book again :)

This was definitely a peaceful woodsy retreat. My husband, myself, and our pup stayed during the most beautiful and snowy long weekend. The home was outfitted with everything we needed for the occasion - shovels, salt, warmth, games, darts, a sled, art supplies, and big beautiful windows to watch the snow fall. We took many walks in the woods through the snow, which was such a joy. We would 100% visit again!

Why they chose this property

I was introduced to this area by a friend from college whose family owns nearby, and I fell in love visiting through the 90s. I eventually bought a home built by hand by a friend of that family. I love enjoying the wildlife, stream and woods on the property, and I love being near Skinner's Falls, Narrowsburg and Callicoon. You can enjoy all the peace of nature, and still get a dose of culture and fine dining as needed. There is a thriving foodie/locavore scene including wonderful farmers markets that will inspire you in the kitchen. I never get tired of being here, there is always more to explore.

What makes this property unique

I love this home because it is modern and lofty, yet cozy and comfortable. I love the wraparound deck with forest views. The home is private in the midst of acres of woods filled with wildlife, and a pretty little stream that is different every day of the year. An old grown-over quarry road crosses the property for easy hikes to the stream, and gives a sense of the area's history. For all this remote privacy, I am still 5-15 minutes away from all of Sullivan County's hot spots including excellent restaurants, farmers markets, antiques and more. The original Woodstock happened just 10 minutes away in Bethel, home of the Bethel Woods Art Centre. The house will inspire you to unplug and enjoy books, make art, make music, cook, read and reflect.
