Hello and welcome to our lovely, colorful condo, Pelican L-01 !

Our peaceful and inviting nautical condominium is perfect for an amazing bay and beach vacation. With a great location on the surreal Emerald Coast, a 700 foot Lazy River, you are sure to come back year after year. This unit is a ground floor unit/lanai where guests can sun or step outside the gate into the lazy river with a gorgeous bay side backdrop. The waterfall pool, gradual entry pool and two large hot tubs provide a variety of activities for water lovers. The patio/sunning decks in this water area provide both shade and sun for people of all ages. Large lounge chairs, tables & chairs, umbrellas are provided for your leisurely days spent by the lazy river. Grills w/ tables are provided in the green areas behind the lazy river. There is also a walkway for strolling alongside the bay and marina. Free beach service is provided when you go to the ocean. A toddler pool, hot tub, and Destin West's largest pool and exercise facility are the additional amenities found on the beach side. You can easily access the beach side by walking the sky bridge from bay to beach, or you can drive to the round-about in front of Destin West Beach Side, unload your family and beach equipment, park your car in the shaded parking deck and walk from there to the beach.

LOCATION:
Our condominium is centrally located between Destin and Fort Walton Beach on Okaloosa Island. We are five miles from Destin and one mile from Fort Walton Beach. You are in the middle of two of the best vacation cities in America. Not only do you have four miles of undeveloped land on one side (free of mass crowds of people), but on the other side you have access to the Gulfarium, beach side restaurants and shops, fishing, water-sports, and more. Take your pick! Either side has the vacation you have been waiting for.

FEATURES:
Not only is our location perfect and our condominium's sunny, but the view is unforgettable. Imagine an oasis of palm trees with cool, turquoise water running like ribbon (the lazy river) around gorgeous tropical landscaping. Lounge on our large porch and overlook sailboats floating by on the inner coastal waterway while watching the kids float by on the lazy river.

BAYSIDE POOLS:
Close your eyes on our private patio and listen to the waterfall hit the water in the additional heated pool and you will think you are in a tropical paradise.,,,,or enjoy the 5000 sq.foot pool, gym, and super large pool at Destin West across the street. We also have internet access for those of you who need to connect for business. With so many features, how could you pass this up?

The Condo had everything we needed for the week, was clean and nicely decorated. Great beach front restaurants and live music across the street. Our Unit had a gate right off our patio to the pool and lazy river, we enjoyed people watching as they floated by. We would definitely stay here again!!

Great location, so clean and well organized. Communication was also great. They really take care of this place and it shows! Only addition that’d be nice is a small gas grill. We come every year and will most definitely check this place out for openings again.

Perfect location, clean and definitely family friendly. Had everything in the condo we needed. Cart to take things to the ocean. Loved the easy access to the pools. Loved having the bridge for access to the ocean and reserved seating was perfect. The view to the pool from the condo was beautiful. Host provided all the information needed. Cannot recommend enough. If I could do a 10 start rating, I totally would! From the beginning to end of our trip we were 100% satisfied. Condo was ready by check in and was very clean. Everything was in amazing condition and well kept. If I had a question or issue, Meredith was always available to me. It was my family of 4, and my mom. And my brother and his girlfriend came to join us and we had plenty of room! Will definitely be back!

Anniversary Trip

My husband and I had a wonderful 5 night stay in Pelican L01 bayside. End unit condo had lots of windows and was so easy to walk off the patio to enjoy the lazy river, pool and bay. It was close to the elevator to access the 3rd floor skybridge to cross to the beachside. We enjoyed the umbrella and chairs included during our stay. The condo and property were both beautiful and well maintained. Parking wad easy and always available close to the condo.Meredith was so kind and made everything so easy!

Overall great little condo. Wish that the hallway bunk room had a door. We ended up buying a tension rod and blackout curtains to help with light control and noise. Outdoor porch was a wonderful space for meals. LOVED that we could see the Boardwalk fireworks from the master balcony.

Perfect stay

We had a wonderful time at this condo. It was impeccably clean and stocked with everything we could need. I like a firm mattress, so I was in heaven. If you prefer something softer, you will probably want to bring your own mattress topper. The one time I had to contact the host she was very responsive. The resort grounds are clean and beautiful, especially the lighting around the pools and lazy river at night. It rained a lot while we were in Okaloosa Island, but we still found opportune times to use the pools. Overall it was a perfect stay!

Good stay

Nice condo, great location and loved the perks. I will say I wish the pillows were better quality. We flew so we couldn’t bring our pillows and I did have to take Ibuprofen several days from my neck and back hurting. Bedroom does not cool down the greatest, but it wasn’t bad. Overall a good stay.

Good location, nice place!

We had a great vacation at the property! The best part is the location next to the large pool area and lazy river, very convenient with kids. It is a pretty easy walk to the beachside but does require some effort. The condo was clean, had lots of amenities, and just as expected from pictures. Note the bunk room does not have a door, which we knew. Adding a gas grill outside would improve this whole experience even more. The included wagon was nice. Definitely recommend staying here.

First Floor Condo Convenience-easy access to pool/lazy river & bay, FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN!!

We were here for our son’s senior spring break trip. The ground floor location of this unit was perfect for group meals and easy refills on beverages by the pool We also used the grassy knoll area to grill out a couple of nights and quickly realized that the unit was equipped with serving utensils and a mini crock pot and cookie sheets and storage containers and mixing bowls and sharp knives and everything we needed as a large group!! We so appreciated it, it made our stay so much easier :) We were also provided with six very nice beach towels to use for the week and this unit came with beach chair reservations on the gulf side of DestinWest, which not all of the units provide. Access to both bayside and gulf side was great!!We also appreciated the quick communication with the property management throughout the process. Very last minute we were able to add another night to our stay and were able to access our condo before check in time, which was FANTASTIC!! We highly recommend it for your vacation. We were three people and were super comfortable for the space. Stay here, you won’t be sorry!!

Awesome trip!

Loved every minute of it! The pool is awesome and the short walk to the beach is well worth it! Very clean and had everything we needed. The only thing that I wish we had is a gas grill on the patio like the other first floor units had. My family and I love to grill and that would have been the icing on the cake if we had one right on the patio. It’s the only reason I would look for a different first floor unit. Other than that we couldn’t ask for a better trip, experience, and place to stay.

30th Birthday Getaway

My boyfriend and I came down to Destin for my 30th birthday. We were thrilled with the accommodations and everything this VRBO had to offer! The condo is very clean and exceeded our expectations. We loved the atmosphere, the lazy river, and the quick walk to an absolutely gorgeous beach! We’ve never seen a more beautiful beach and such clear water! Our favorite part was the complementary beach umbrella and two beach chairs. We would definitely come back again! Meredith was extremely helpful and Informative. She gave us many tips, and the entire process went very smoothly. You won’t be sorry if you book this VRBO!

Beautiful condo and resort

This condo was beautiful and clean. It was actually much larger than I expected and it was so nice to have that second bathroom since there were six of us. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware and there were plenty of towels. The washer and dryer were great to have also. Just a forewarning for those with mobility issues - the king size bed in the master bedroom is tall/high. You definitely have to climb up in it. This wasn’t a problem for us but I can see where it would be an issue for some. The resort was so nice and picturesque. Sadly the beach was only open on our arrival and departure days so we only got a couple hours of water play on the beachside. All other days were double red flags. Thankfully, my kids didn’t mind playing in the bay, the resort lazy river, and pool. My husband and son also enjoyed fishing from the dock. They caught a few but most broke their line (and even a pole) and got away but put up a nice fight. I’m so glad we chose this resort. Having access to the bay for swimming and fishing really saved our trip due to the water on the beachside being closed. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a little difficulty checking in with the door code. We made contact with the manager and things were remedied quickly. The place was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the location right on the lazy river and the end unit was nice for quieter lounging on the balcony. We have stayed in Miramar for years…and believe we are shifting are peaceful place to Destin West. The bay, lazy river and location to the beach were excellent for each one of our family members. The condo community as guests vacation is friendly as people gather to enjoy all the wonderful amenities for every age AND they're surrounded by palm trees, topical landscaping and a gorgeous bay view! Owners decorated it in sunny primary colors with lovely, comfortable furniture, sailboat pictures, and whimsical beach vibe decor yet with classic tastes. The condo is kept extremely clean and updated. The patio has 2 functional levels for outdoor dining and sunning. The bedding and furniture make for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is fully appointed with stainless appliances, cookware and dishes. The lazy river is right outside the patio gate....or you can take a stroll around the pools and lazy river to enjoy the green, the bay and the marina. You get it all with this condo!The owners of this property are people who believe in helping guests like you have a great vacation! They provide, at no cost to you, free beach service which means each day you have 2 canvas beach chairs and an umbrella set up for you daily at the beach. They also provide beach towels and a beach wagon for transporting all your beach gear to the pools and/or beaches. This condo is in a convenient location for bay and beach activities.
