Single Family home just 400 walking ft. away from the beautiful beaches of the Chesapeake Bay, or Chics Beach, the non-tourist, residential resort area of Virginia Beach. The Chics Beach area offers a large variety of restaurants and nightlife. If you venture out, all of the amazing attractions of Virginia Beach are just minutes away by car. The Virginia Beach Oceanfront resort area is just 20 minutes. First Landing State Park access is only a short drive away offering a multitude of serene walking and biking trails.

This spacious home features 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. The 4 queen bedrooms provide very comfortable bedding and each has attached balconys/decks. The massive king bedroom has a tempur pedic mattress, en-suite with a large jetted soaking tub and separate shower and includes a private balcony. There are 2 bunk rooms with sleeping for 4 ppl in each room. The bunk rooms, 1 queen room and king room are located on the second floor of the home. Two of the queen rooms are located on the first floor with a full bathroom. The 4th queen bedroom is located on the third floor with another full bath on the 3rd floor. On the ground floor, there is are 2 queen sleeper sofas. All bed and bath linens are provided for 21 people.

There are 2 fully equipped kitchens, each one including microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. All dinner ware, serve ware, and cook ware is included in the kitchens. The home provides 2 full size washers and dryers located off of each of the kitchens.

There is also an outdoor shower in the fully fenced back yard along with a gas grill.

Hi-speed internet and WiFi is complementary. There is room for 7 vehicles in front of the home. 5 spots along the front and 2 additional vehicles parallel parked along the edge of the driveway. (Additional street parking first come first serve). 16 beach chairs and 4 beach umbrellas as well as 2 beach wagons are provided for guest use. You have all you need for a wonderful relaxing week at the beach (just bring your own beach towel).

This beach neighborhood also features a handful of restaurants/bars in walking distance. Around the corner, Buoy 44 is a great restaurant located right on the beach. Just a few blocks from the home are HK on the Bay and Commonwealth Brewery. Your able to escape the crowds of the Oceanfront at Chics Beach but are still just a short drive to all of the major attractions that Virgnia Beach has to offer. Pros: Great location close to beach. Chic's beach was wonderful with kids, easy swimming and quiet. I was concerned we would hear the bridge nearby but it is actually quite far. The house has lots of rooms and bathrooms, which is hard to find. It is two different houses, which helped those without kids be able to have some separate quiet time. Supplied beach supplies were really helpful to limit need to pack. Outdoor shower helped keep things clean inside.Cons:The smell inside the house. It was mostly clean but I think it is the rugs and carpet. The kids bunk bed room smelled really awful like feet and maybe worse. The smell was also around that hallway and a bit in playroom. We kept the door open at night, otherwise the smell really accumulated. The other bedrooms were fine. The downstairs also smelled like dirty rugs. The house is dated, very bare, and no lamps which made it very dark (the lightbulbs were also weak). We cooked every meal there and have going kids that nap, so it mattered. If you will be out of the house all day, maybe you don't care. Overall, we loved chic's beach. The house was practical, but the smell and darkness made us ready to leave by the end.

Fortunately, because of your quick review, we were able to get the property steam cleaned in that room and hallway immediately after your checkout. I only wish that we were aware that you were dealing with this so we could’ve handled it earlier to make your stay more pleasurable.

Nicely equipped older property. Beds were very comfortable and everything worked. Access to the beach was an easy shady walk. The only negative for a large group was no single room would hold us all for a family meal. There were two kitchens which we found helpful. The hosts responded almost immediately to every request and were extremely helpful.

Spacious house, accommodated all 12 of us with no problem. Lots of toys for kids, and parking for 5 cars. Internet, AC, & TVs worked well. Beds were OK, and kitchen equipment was adequate (we cooked a lot). Nothing fancy, and common areas are a bit dark due to orientation of house and neighboring homes close by, but nice neighborhood. 2-min walk to beach.

Family Friendly

Pros: The property has 2 kitchens, 2 loving rooms, plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms. Several bedrooms have thier own balcony. 2 sets of washer and dryers (great for large groups). The property has plenty of amenities to help you enjoy the beach and relax. The backyard is fenced in and there is free parking (great for VA Beach area). There are fire extinguishers, and other safety items at the property. The rules are not unreasonable for check out. The TVs operate on Roku. We didnt find remotes for each TV, but you can use the app without an issue. The property has a playroom- which was the selling point for my child. We had enough space and bathrooms in the house that we were not on top of each otherCons: The property needs to be fumigated. Spiders, wasps, flies and mosquitoes inside of the home (beginning the day we arrived) made it uncomfortable. Everyone has large bites and 2 were stung. The coffee maker in the first kitchen does not properly work. The property is dated which is disappointing when you are spending thousands of dollars to stay there. Several drawers did not work. One of the bathrooms only had cold water. The appliances are quite old and as others mentioned do not have water dispenser or ice makers. Late check in at 4 and early check out at 10am. * we checked into the place in the evening - so I am only sharing for awareness*. The stairs are narrow and one person got injured.

We have the property on consistent monthly pest control treatments and can send them out for callbacks at any time as needed. Had you mentioned it to us on day one we would’ve had someone out there ASAP to treat the home again. I’m sorry that you were unhappy with the datedness of the home. All of the pictures were just taken about four months ago and we try to represent the home with very up-to-date and accurate pictures. We try to be very transparent and clear about the property, hence updating the pictures each season so there is no confusion on what the property looks like on the inside.

Great vacation house

My family and I and another family shared the property. We had a great time! The back deck in the backyard are great. The outdoor shower is great. The large dining room room is perfect for big groups. I highly recommend this property for large groups.

Family Reunion

My family was in town for a funeral. We came from different states and met at the house. There were 12 of us and the ages ranged from 90 to almost 2 years old. The location was perfect. The access to the beach was easy and the owners provided chairs, towels, umbrellas, sun screen, and a wagon to haul it all down. Chics Beach was a wonderful location for the children to play in the ocean. We would definitely consider renting the house again should the occasion arise.

wedding weekend/ great time

we had a wonderful time. The house was perfect. WE could have used more lamps in the main room as it was dark unless we turned on the bright overhead light. The electrical outlets in the bathroom stopped working upstairs. Y ou might want to check that. But overall, all was well.

Just Steps to the Beach

We really liked the location. The beach umbrellas, chairs and wagons were very helpful with the two year old and all the kites and toys we took to the beach. The three tables allowed us to do puzzles, drawing and meals at the same time. This is a well equipped house. We look forward to returning to this property.

Family time

Great location! Close to the beach in a nice quiet neighborhood. House was perfect size to hang out as a family, deck is a great place to enjoy. Wonderful memories were made.

Lovely Family Gathering

We had a fabulous week of family gathering. There was tons of room! Super close beach access. And we couldnt ask for nicer hosts! I think our only disappointments were: No ice makers or keurig, the dining tables were pretty rough, the porches weren't trustworthy and the closets and some of the dressers were dated, and our tub drained slowly.

Steps from beach

Well maintained property suited our needs perfectly. While we came prepared for sun, the provision of sunscreen and bug spray was well appreciated. Walked to beach daily with crew of kids 5-12; drove bikes to state park for trail ride; drove to North Beach one day for some bigger waves to boogie board on (but calmer bay waves were best for our whole crew), and wasn’t too crowded in either location. Double kitchen came in handy cooking for such a large crew. Did hear some late night rowdiness on our last night but was overall a great experience.

Great for a family beach vacation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The location was ideal for going to the beach everyday and our entire family felt comfortable and accommodated with the house. Lots of good restaurants in the area and even a few walkable bars. We loved how there were plenty of chairs, wagons, towels, and sunscreen for everyone. There were a couple small things that we needed to reach out to the owners for, but they were quick to respond and friendly. We would definitely stay again!

A great large beach vacation house in Chic's Beach!

This is literally the only property that can accommodate larger families/groups at the Chic's Beach bayfront beach area of Virginia Beach. This is a local beach that is located next to a residential area and is never crowded. We also love the fact that water is warmer and less rough than oceanfront for our young grandchildren. The house itself is a converted duplex that has 2 fully equipped kitchens/dining areas and two family rooms with TVs. This allowed us to spread out and reserve one space for kids movies and video games and one for adult news/sports/movies. The TVs in the property are all Roku smart TVs and most major streaming networks are available. There are also some games/puzzles and a playroom suitable for young children. The house has comfortable furniture and beds; linens and towels (beach and bathroom) are provided and beds are all made up when you arrive. There are also beach chairs and umbrellas so reduces what you have to bring. The owner/property manager, Beth, was very easy to reach and was able to answer any questions and rapidly responded to a repair issue. We had a great beach family vacation and would love to come back in the future.

Wonderful, Quiet Location for Family Vacation

The property was in the perfect location, a nice quiet neighborhood very close to a great beach. No crowds, walking distance to everything you need. The house was very spacious, clean, and all around a great place to stay for a large family!

Family vacation

With 9 adults and 9 grandkids there was more than enough space for everyone and the kitchens had everything we needed. On sunny days the beach was great and just a short walk away. On the rainy days we visited the aquarium and kids museum. Great place for a larger family vacation to the ocean.

We are a military family that were fortunate enough to be able to call Virginia Beach home. We absolutely fell in love with the area with all of its beautiful beaches and especially the boating activities. We intend to stay here forever.

This neighborhood is the perfect getaway. It's the "locals" beach which also has restaurants and a brewery in walking distance. And your just a short 20 minute drive away to countless Virginia Beach oceanfront attractions.

What makes this property unique

This home is the only short term rental in the Chic's beach area that provides 7 bedrooms under one roof! The ample sleeping areas are complimented with 2 kitchens, 2 dens, 3 dining areas and a playroom. The fully fenced backyard is a great place to unwind after a day at the beach.
