La Moderna - Salt Water Pool & Spa, Memory Foam Beds in Every Room.

Welcome to La Moderna, where you will find a perfect mix of desert comfort combined with mid-century flair and style. We have just completed a new salt water pool and spa (hot tub). La Moderna is the perfect desert family home, where children of all ages are welcome, and bring your parents too!

We installed a salt water pool and spa as well as beautiful white hardscape around it. Because the house is located in the desert, heating of the pool is not necessary during certain times of the year. We can however heat the pool & spa anytime of the year for an additional $50 per day.

We welcome large families with children under the age of 18. The kids room is filled toys and games, two pack-n-play cribs, and a Lego bin. The TV's have Netflix, Amazon, and Youtube for guests with an account. A retro high chair connects to the end of the dining table.. We even have a shallow shelf in the pool 12 inches deep which is great for toddlers. All children require 100% constant adult supervision in the back yard. Your sleep will be great as every room has memory foam mattresses.

Originally built in 1957 and recently remodeled to offer more light, space, and scenery for your enjoyment. Old houses were built with different safety standards. The remodel makes it safe to present-day comfort and safety, which included new rooms, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, fixtures lighting, plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, roofing, non-toxic paints, insulated walls, and dual pane sliding glass doors and windows, and extensive hardscape and landscape. La Moderna is one level. Walker and some wheel chair accessible through the garage entry. It is also kid/toddler/infant friendly.

PLEASE READ OUR HOUSE RULES PRIOR TO BOOKING which include:
-Minimum age of primary renter: 30
-Max number of guests is 6 (maximum of 2 adults over age 18)
-$25/night fee for more than 4 adults
-Maximum of 3 cars are allowed at the property.
-Pool Heating to 82 degrees F is $50/day (includes Spa to 100 degrees F).
-Outdoor Nest security Cams facing front door/driveway and pool.
-No music can be played at anytime outside & music played inside can not be audible from outside.
-No parties. City Rules apply.
-Small pets welcome for a fee.

LONG TERM RENTALS: We offer a generous discount for stays of 28 days or more. The home is to be considered a furnished monthly rental unit, as if the tenant were moving in for one month, 6 months, or a year. This means there is no included maid service, or amenities (soap, shampoo, detergents, tissues, minibar, coffee, etc) found in hotels, nightly rental units, other short term rentals.

The home is located 3 blocks from restaurants, coffee shops, groceries, and all major stores. Walk down the street to a great hiking trail, or a short drive to play golf or tennis.

THE LOCATION: La Moderna is located in Magnesia Falls Cove is a very special neighborhood located South of Highway 111 in the City of Rancho Mirage. Just take walk around the streets and enjoy an eclectic variety well kept homes. Most of the homes were built in the mid 20th century. 90% of this community is comprised of homeowners who live here all year long. It is known for being clean, quaint, friendly, and peaceful. La Moderna contributes its own flair to this community as one of the most recently upgraded homes.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD: You can walk to The River Shopping Center which has a number of restaurants including Cowboy Cantina, Babe's BBQ and Brewhouse, P.F Changs, Flemmings, The Yardhouse, DringK, Five Guys Burgers, Starbucks Coffee, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Ben & Jerry's, and Cheesecake Factory. There is also a theater and an arcade. Closer to home is Wally's Desert Tortoise, In-n-Our Burgers, and the Old Spaghetti Factory. You are near grocery stores and a pharmacy, other shops and cafes. You are 5 minutes drive to downtown Palm Desert and El Paseo, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Target, Marshalls, TJ Max, Total Wine, and more abundant shopping!

EASY ACCESS TO EVERYWHERE: You are just a few blocks to the famous Highway 111, also known as Palm Canyon Drive, which turns into Palm Desert Drive. There is public transportation right on this main road and it accesses the entire Coachella Valley toward Palm Springs, as well as toward Palm Desert, the shops on El Paseo, and east to Indian Wells, Coachella and La Quinta.

HIKING/TRAIL RUNNING: La Moderna is a block away from a great system of hiking trails that are ideal for walks or trail runs as short as 30 minutes, or for as long of a day as you would like!

SWIMMING: In addition to our own salt water pool and spa, the closest public pool is the Palm Desert Aquatic Center which has a great pool for lap swimming and swim workouts. It is 3.4 miles away at this address 73751 Magnesia Falls Dr, Palm Desert, CA 92260 Quite a few resorts offer memberships for use of their pools, health clubs, and golf courses. The prices vary and it really depends on what you want.

TENNIS: The Indian Wells Tennis Garden is 7 miles and 11 minutes drive from La Moderna. This location hosts a number of professional and amateur tournaments each year.

MUSIC: Empire Polo Fields is home to the Coachella Music Festival, and Stagecoach Country Music Festival! This venue is an easy 13 mile drive, but there are shuttles which run continuously with a stop at Rancho Las Palmas Resort less than a 10 min walk (.8miles away).

TRIATHLON: Lake Cahuilla hosts a number of triathlons each year including Ironman 70.3 Indian Wells. It is located 26 flat miles from La Moderna.
