About this property
Exclusive villa opposite Akureyri
This exclusive villa is very well situated just opposite Akureyri. It is rented by celebrities but also by other people who enjoy the location and the high standard of the house. It was built by the Icelandic architect Fanney Hauksdottir in 2006. It was recently refurbished with high-quality equipment such as ReVoX audio equipment as well as with attractive materials such as walnut, shale and glass.
The house is surrounded by a 16'000 m2 garden and a security fence. An alarm system and cameras ensure safety for the guests. Any kind of additional service is available on request.
During winter snow drifts may block road access to the house. The road to our fence and the driveway is not maintained during winter time. In this case a short walk (400 meters) is necessary. If you have difficulties with this, have a look at our house Leifsstadir: http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p2365219.
Please note that this is a strictly non-smoking environment.

Spectacular property! Breathtaking views, spacious living area, cozy bedrooms, and well-kitted kitchen -- this home has it all. Communication with the host was outstanding, including the pre-arrival house guide and follow-up during the stay.I plan on returning to Akureyri next year and will absolutely stay here again if it is available.
This is an amazing, high-tech house in a great location with stunning view across to the town through huge windows. The view is especially magnificent at night. And there's a hot-tub which can be filled and emptied at the touch of a button. This was our second visit - we were very keen to return.
We had a wonderful stay in this villa and would highly recommend to future visitors. It is very close to local amenities and the airport. We had a few minor issues with the heating and electricity however these were swiftly addressed. The bedrooms and bathrooms were more than adequate as were the kitchen facilities. Would 100% return again if visiting Akureyri
Our favorite stay during our 2 week trip around all of Iceland. Beautiful huge windows with a great view, especially at night. Hot tub was great. Massive snow fall while we were there but it was beautiful and we stayed cozy inside.
This is a great place to stay & not only for the views (which are amazing). The house is a great base to explore the wonders of North Iceland. If you want to chill, sitting in the hot tub overlooking the Eyjafjörður Fjord is highly recommended. Thanks to Guðrún, Annett & Thomas for being so accommodating as part of our stay. We will definitely be returning.
Great stay at a beautiful property. Thomas was very nice, the check-in process was thorough, and location is convenient. Would definitely recommend, thank you!!
Magical stay as a midpoint on our ring road trip. We stayed 4 nights to rest up and enjoy some of the fabulous towns in the north. We ventured to the Troll Peninsula, the Diamond Circle and up to Husavik for horseback riding and whale watching. This was the perfect home to come home to. We enjoyed the hot top, the comfortable beds, having laundry facilities, it was all wonderful!
Impressive property in a great region of Iceland. Very quiet community across from Akureyri with easy access to all the places you would want to visit.
This house is a work of art. It was immaculately clean, comfortable, and beautiful. The view is stunning. Communication with the owner was clear and helpful. Best rental experience we have ever had.
Incredible house with great views of Akureyri. A perfect spot to slow down a bit for three nights halfway through our two week ring road circuit. Loved the outdoor tub!
After a week on the go throughout Iceland, the 6 days we stayed here was a welcome retreat! We enjoyed relaxing, the views and overall accommodations. Well appointed and comfortable!
