- The Space
A great pet friendly beach house that sleeps up to 8 people + 1 infant (portacot and high chair are provided). The house is fully furnished and features 3 large bedrooms.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed, walk in robe and an ensuite bathroom including a shower and toilet. The second and third bedrooms each contain a comfortable double size bed and a single bed. Both bedrooms contain built in robes. Bedding is provided but guests must bring their own linen and towels. The main bathroom contains a shower and there is a separate toilet and large laundry containing a family-sized washing machine and dryer.
The home boasts 2 large living areas, making it perfect for more than one family to share (perhaps one living area for the kids and one for the adults) The first living area contains a slow combustion wood fire heater (ample wood is provided), large screen plasma TV, digital set top box, DVD and even a telescope for visitors to make the most of the starry Sandy Point nights. The second living area contains a digital TV, DVD, CD player, and even a toy box, books and games to entertain the kids (or adults).
The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you could need including a microwave, dishwasher and a coffee machine. Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining room with a table that sits 6 people and a bar fridge to ensure adequate space for chilling drinks. Ceiling fans are located in both living areas, dining room and 2 of the bedrooms, with the third bedroom cooled by a portable evaporative cooler.
All windows are fitted with flyscreens enabling the home to be opened up at night to enjoy the cool sea breeze. A fully covered deck allows you to relax, sit back and listen to the roar of the waves or perhaps spot rosellas or even a koala. A gas hooded BBQ and tasteful outdoor furniture are provided. The block is flat, fully fenced and there is ample room for a boat or up to 3 cars. Well behaved outside-only pets are welcome, there is a fully covered deck for pets to sleep in.

While the property is fully furnished and well equipped, it may not have all appliances and equipment you may be used to using. We apologise if this causes inconvenience.
- Guest Access
You have use of the entire house and yard. Guest access information will be provided the day of your arrival via email. This will include details on how to locate the property, where to locate the key safe, and the key safe combination to access the keys.
- Neighbourhood
Situated approximately 2.5 hours from Melbourne and approximately 40 mins to Wilsons Promontory.
The property is located close to the main beach for swimming, surfing and fishing. Waratah Bay Surf Lifesaving Club patrols the beach over summer; they also have a bar, occasional meals and events.
Launch your boat at Shallow Inlet, just a short 5 minute drive. It's famous for wind surfing, kite surfing and fishing.
The Sandy Point General store is the hub for groceries, bait, petrol, gas, bottle shop and an Australia Post outlet.
A small Mini golf course is located next to our office on Beach Parade (seasonal).
Playgrounds, Tennis courts (equipment can be hired from the General Store), Half basketball court & public bbq areas are located next to the Sandy Point Community Centre.
The Sandy Point Community Centre hosts art festivals, markets & other events over summer.
Sandy Point is a great base for exploring the local region. With Wilsons Promontory a short drive away, you can enjoy a range of short and long hikes that include breath taking beaches, rivers and wildlife encounters.
The historic towns of Fish Creek, Walkerville, Foster, Toora and Meeniyan are an easy drive away, offering outstanding local produce, art galleries, cafes, restaurants and wineries.
Also in easy reach is the historic Cape Liptrap Lighthouse and Walkerville Lime Kilns at the famous Magic Beach, Walkerville South.
The Great Southern Rail Trail (131kms) runs from Nyora to Yarram and can be accessed at Fish Creek, it's ideal for biking or walking.
- Getting Around
Sandy Point is a lovely Village to stroll around, however getting beyond this you will need your own car.
- Other things to note
Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control.
Each property in Sandy Point is on tank water and septic systems.
