Amazing Moutajn Luxury
The host is extremely helpful and friendly! She gave suggestions and even made sure the cabin was decorated for Christmas. The driveway up is very steep but the views from the deck were spectacular to see with a morning cup of coffee. Everything was tidy and clean upon arrival & location was closer than expected to Pigeon Forge.

From the owner: "Kayla, what a wonderful review. We are so very grateful for people like you. We are so happy that you and your family were able to enjoy our cabin/early Christmas retreat. Have a love-filled holiday season and please do come back for another visit."
Last stop on our family road trip to Pigeon Forge in this beautifully appointed mountain cabin was great. The living space was well thought out and comfy and the kitchen aptly stocked with cookware and utensils. The beds were very comfortable with really soft linens that I immediately went online and purchased for my home! The hot tub was great and the pool table was a little uneven, but would still be fun for smaller kids. We appreciated the laundry and the lovely outdoor seating to enjoy the view. As happens in the mountains, the WiFi was mostly nonexistent, so don’t plan on connecting much for streaming or working, but the satellite tvs worked just fine. That driveway up is no joke! The owners are very nice and overall, this was a wonderful stay!

50th birthday getaway treat to scenic solitude What a place of beauty and more.
we would like to start by saying a massive thankyou to Cristy our amazing host ,what a welcome we couldnt book into cabin until 4pm but decided to drive up to see it in the daylight and to get our bearings .we had read reviews before traveling and noted about the obvious mountains small country lanes coming ourselves from rural uk i have to say myself and my husband hadnt belly laughed so hard on arrival to our cabin .when greeted with the drive way ,we just looked at each other and laughed, most cabins in the mountains do advise 4wheel drive of which we had a truck Danny my husband give the pedal some welly and up we went and OMG we turned the corner and there was the cabin absolutely beautiful. we were so tired from the travel we decided to go back down to Pigeon forge a ten minute drive from everything and the stables at the bottom of the road was a real treat .Cristy then phoned us to welcome us to the cabin and was so helpful and just lovely what a welcome and if she could help with anything we could phone she then emailed through lots of information about all things to do see ect fantastic.she then said we could head up to the cabin anytime and go on in even though we were early .back up to the cabin just wow the pictures do not tell the whole story it is just breath taking the cabin is so cosy it has everything and more super comfy bed .we stayed in the loft bed tv wifi full kitchen ect all clean and lovely .you need to google earth the cabin to fully appreciate how high up you are in the mountain and the views of the mountains are just breath taking and at night the mountains come alive with tiny hints of lights from other log homes up in the mountains just beautiful .anytime you sit out on the deck you could be all alone in the world i think we only glimpsed a couple of cars but the icing on the cake is the sound of the river running at the bottom of the drive on the other side of the road .we both walked down to go investigate what we could hear from the cabin yet another piece of natural beauty the sound of the river flowing from the cabin it sounds like a waterfall and again from the deck the sound is fantastic .there is a hot tub witch was hot and ready to go we didnt use this time as out sight seeing a lot of the time the cabin itself is the most fantastic base close and short drive to all major attractions yet in the smoky mountains tucked away Thank You Cristy for the most wonderful stay, amazing memories made .thank you Sherrie Danny xxx

Beautiful
Loved the cabin. My boys loved the pool table and having their own space downstairs. We had family pool games every night before bed. Evenings spent sitting on the deck looking at the view was relaxing. It is perfectly located with quick and easy access to many sites and activities, yet back in away from everything. Would definitely recommend and would book again.

Not Clean! Hill very Steep.
Floors and furniture were dirty. The upstairs is too hot and no way to cool it down. The carpet was filthy. Bathroom downstairs shower smelled sour. Upstairs Tub moldy. Bedding is cheap. Overall place is cute but took us couple hours of cleaning, after buying cleaning supplies and sweeping to feel comfortable.

Birthday
We stayed at this cabin with my sister and BIL for my husbands bday and we had a fantastic time. The cabin was clean and the owners immediately responded any time we reached out with a question. They even text us to tell my husband happy birthday which I was amazed because this tripped was scheduled a year and a half ago but had to be postponed because of covid

Owner's Response: "Sherri, I am so happy to read your review and to know what a fantastic time was had by all for the very special birthday celebration! We feel honored to have hosted the three of you for such a memorable occasion. Please come back again!"
We had a great time staying in this cabin and the owners even text me to wish my husband a happy birthday. There was even a happy birthday sign hanging on the railing inside. The cabin was perfect and the owners were very quick to respond when we had any questions!!
The cabin itself is beautiful. It does need a deep clean though, the jacuzzi is huge but we couldn’t use it. We run water in it for my niece and as soon as the jets we’re turned on it spit out nasty brown pieces of something. The hot tub is awesome. The sinks stayed stopped up and barely drained. We also didn’t get checked in on time. The person who cleaned it didn’t get done until 4:20. The property the cabin sits on is absolutely gorgeous. The view out in front of the cabin is stunning. The driveway is very steep but we made it up with front wheel drive. Overall the cabin is beautiful it just needs a deep clean. I hope to go there on vacation again one day. Just hope it’s cleaned better.

The homeowner would like to share the following: "Teresa, thank you for the 4-star review. We sincerely apologize that the cabin was not ready for you and the family at the 4 pm check-in...but so happy you were able to enjoy the beautiful views during your 20min wait. We will certainly discuss with the cleaners your findings in regards to a deep clean. As for the sinks draining slowly...we sent the plumber as soon as he was available and all was cleared. Thank you for the heads up. We do hope to see you again and the hot tub will be waiting!! Have a wonderful 2021."
This place was beautiful to stay at. Very cozy and comfortable for your family. The kids loved the hot tub and pool table. The driveway was definitely steep but so worth it once you made it to the top. The cabin was secluded but not far from all the shops and fun. Will definitely stay again.

Scenic Solitude Cabin
Cabin very pretty & cozy. Nice fireplace . Well equipped kitchen . Nice bedrooms & Baths . Deck view Beautiful and Quiet . 🏔
Now Comparing to other reviews : 🤔 there was soap ( hand , dish & laundry ) plus other essential necessities , clean working jacuzzi , comfy beds ,hot showers and toilet paper ... close to town yet separate & private . Weather was perfect ! I read all reviews prior to going and at first I felt regret when I kept reading about “the steep driveway”. , thinking I had made a mistake . If you are careful or if you know what you’re doing ....you will be ok. After the first try it gets easier ... just put on your big girl panties and set your jingle bells in place and all will be fine !!!! 😂
We did have a 4x4 but also my friend visited who had a 2017 Sonata front wheel drive and made it up and down just fine . Did have some difficulties with WiFi (at times was weak )even after attempting to trouble shoot . Family enjoyed their stay. I couldn’t get my husband off the rocking chairs Though he did mention that perhaps Propane BBQ would have been nice ? to cut down on cooking time after a long tiring day .Over all it was great. Loved the Smokey Mountain Hikes . I have a video of driveway , I will try to post on YouTube for those of you who worry .... so it can help you not to . Enjoy your stay ... 😊 you will ❤️Tennessee
My wife and kids loved the cabin with the view. Felt like we were at home. The drive way is intense but it was funny to hear the kids “slow down dad we about to pee our pants”. Overall this is a beautiful cabin perfect for relaxing & getting away from the city!
I enjoyed my stay! Cristy, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. The driveway is very very steep!!!!!! Make sure that you are prepared bc it is no joke! Overall I had a great stay and would definitely stay again!

Relaxing couple getaway
Beautiful views, beautiful cabin. About 15 mins from attractions. The critiques would be hot tub was not usable, kitchenware needs to be updated and the incline to drive way is really steep and needs to be clarified in description when booking. I would definitely go back. Lovely scenic retreat.
The cabin is amazing! Beautifully decorated and it has a gorgeous view of the mountains. The cabin owner, Cristy, is very sweet and by the end of the trip I felt like we were old friends. She checked on us to make sure we were having a great time and that everything was there that we needed. The driveway is very steep so just be prepared for that and if it is wet you will slip coming up the driveway but just give er gas and don't let up and you'll make it just fine. Very secluded, surrounded by woods. We loved sitting out on the deck overlooking the mountains having our coffee and one morning even had a bear visit us. I highly recommend this beautiful place!!!
Place and view is amazing! Has everything you need! Only drawback is the driveway, it’s no joke. We will be staying again and will recommend to everyone.

Driveway is no joke
1st off... the driveway is intense. We had a Dodge Journey and a Jeep Patriot and both had issues getting up it. Our kids were in tears every time we had to go up it as the Jeep often had to back down it and keep attempting to climb.
*The water in the hot tub stunk so bad we were not able to enjoy it at all. It was not the typical chlorine smell, it was more like a stagnate/ rotten water smell.
*The dishwasher was left full from the last people so in order to do our dishes we had to empty theirs first. That was super inconvenient as we only had a couple dishes and it was plum full.
*There was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms, nor was their dish soap at the sink.
*The trash bin outside was full to the max and we were unable to put all of our trash inside it.
* The cabinet on the tv stand was broke. When you open it the entire door comes off. We were lucky the glass didn't shatter.
*The upstairs does not have an air conditioner and gets warm unless the downstairs ceiling fan is left on.
Its a decent drive and you only have 1 nice view (like what is pictured).
The kids really loved the downstairs. Only down fall is that there is an outside door that leads to the hot tub. Our kids knew not to go out that door but just a worry-som mother here. I did appreciate the baby gate for the stairs. That was an above and beyond move.

Casey, we're sorry to hear that you experienced some issues during your stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and we'd like to share the following:
-The owner never heard from you in residence, and we wish you would have reached out to the guest contact with these concerns. They're responsive and always happy to help with any issue!
-The house has central HVAC, and there is A/C in the upstairs, as well as every other level of the house.
As evidenced by reviews before and after your stay, we are sure these are isolated incidents, and we are confident this home will continue to provide wonderful guest experiences!
We had a great getaway weekend with another couple. The cabin is PERFECT for two couples or even if you are bringing children! Would love to go back soon.
My husband and I decided to book this cabin for his birthday weekend. The cabin and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. We felt secluded, yet only a few minutes from the Pigeon Forge Parkway. Jon was easy to get ahold of and even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy! Others have mentioned the driveway. We didn't have a problem, it wasn't nearly as frightening as others have stated. Maybe we're just used to the hills and mountains of East Tennessee. I would agree that 4WD or AWD would be needed in the winter, but otherwise, it's just a little steep and curvy. The cabin was huge and would definitely be big enough for two couples and children. The only problem we had was spotty WiFi. Our phones would work on it, but were unable to stream Netflix. No worries though, that gave us an opportunity to unplug for the weekend. The hot tub was perfect and we were tickled to go back in time for some Atari! I fell in love with the globe light and am pressuring my husband to make me one. :) We look forward to coming back soon and bringing our teenager. Thank you again for a great weekend!
Pros: Lovely view, close to pigeon forge and gatlinburg, great water pressure in shower, decorated nicely.
Cons: Scarily steep driveway ... must have Awd or 4x4 to get up comfortably in any weather not just snow, only 1 shower, had to air out on arrival do to smell, listing says 3pm check in and property manager said we could till 4pm
All in all we had a great time at the cabin and loved the view and the changing leaves. Probably wouldn’t stay again because of the anxiety I got pushing the mini van up the driveway. If you have a truck or Jeep you should be good.
