Blue Horizon Lorne is a newly renovated modern and spacious three bedroom holiday house. Incorporating the very best of modern living with elevated Great Ocean Road coastal views making it a first class beach house.

Upstairs comprises of a spacious open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area streaming with natural light, with views of the ocean surrounded by natural bush land beauty. Cathedral ceilings and huge glass doorways to the timber deck in the main living area provide the experience of living in the treetops with tranquil ocean views. Take advantage of the extra large wood heater and cosy up on those chilly nights with a glass of wine and relax. Upstairs also boasts a spacious master bedroom including walk in robes, private deck access and ocean views. It also features a newly renovated spacious ensuite.

Downstairs includes 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, toilet, laundry and a second living area with TV providing a separate space to relax, or perfect for kids to chill out.

Perfectly configured for families, Blue Horizon is a relaxing home away from home for up to 6 guests.

It is important to understand this property is a holiday rental, not a shared space or principle place of residence, which ensures you privacy and quiet enjoyment. It is also professionally managed, giving you peace of mind of 24/7 support by a local, just around the corner.

Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the published rates across all booking platforms, however Great Ocean Road Real Estate Holidays reserves the right to correct pricing errors.

Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.

All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

Lovely Lorne Stay

We stayed at Blue Horizon for 2 nights with another couple. The check in was great as they left a key at the house and we didn’t have to get to the office by 4:30. The first challenge was driving up a steep, gravel driveway. 3 of us got out to lighten the weight and that helped. Suggest that if you have front wheel drive, you BACK up the driveway and that worked a treat! The house itself is well appointed and matches the pictures. One of the main reasons I booked this house was for the wild life sightings as our guests are from the US and first time in Australia. Boy did we get the birds! The first visitors were a couple of parrots, followed by a very inquisitive kookaburra. Then a few cockatoos and even a roo across the street. We were delighted to watch them sitting on the railing. Our overall stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. Please be aware you have to book the linen. We bought sheets and towels at Spotlight the night before as I didn’t realise this point in the booking until the night before we were to arrive. I would recommend and book again in the future!

Great house, pleasant stay, but the communication with the management company was terrible.

The house was lovely, great set up for one or two families with the bedrooms and TV room downstairs. We had a few rainy days and the house is bright and airy enough that we were still happy to be in the house playing board games with the kids from the stack of games in the closet. And the fireplace with wood provided was gorgeous. The only issue we had was communication with the management company. When I made the booking, I immediately sent a message asking for early check in, but didn’t get any response. I called them twice and spoke with what sounded like an off-shore customer service rep who wasn’t able to answer my questions and said I would receive a call back about early check in. I didn’t receive a call back, so I called back again, and the same thing happened. I never received a call back. Also, the check in time of 3pm and check out time of 10am is misleading, because what it actually means is that you can’t pick up the keys to the house at the office in Lorne until 3pm, and need to return the keys to the office by 10am. This is not made clear in the listing. Overall, the house was in great shape, lovely space, but we were frustrated to not have better service from the company.

What a little gem

We normally stay right in the town centre but this place was fantastic. It helped we all had cars but the walk in and out was just as enjoyable. We never felt on top of each other and the place had the comforts and style of home instead of a cramped apartment. We will definitely come back, a surprising experience nestled away from the business of town but close enough to be part of it
