The place is in a lovely location and overall we had the best holiday. It is an older place

I think they really need to update the kitchen and bathroom for the price that they are asking. The location is just amazing.

Overpriced for standard of property

Although a charming looking older property, it was not a comfortable winter stay and overpriced for what was offered. The main bathroom needed renovating and not even a bathmat was provided. The second bathroom was outside. No reading lamps in very basic bedrooms. No tea towels - very little kitchen equipment - no tea pots etc and no salt. It was not that clean - a greasy grilling pan, food scraps by the side of the stove. We were told bring bedding but not bath mat and tea towels. A disappointing stay and we will not return.

Quiet family break

Clean, tidy and well maintained older home that was well designed to engage the view and surrounds while still achieving enough privacy. The verandah was our go to space, with the quiet backstreet location and trees creating a very pleasant retreat. A convenient location with a direct path down to the beach and walking distance to shops.

A genuine beach shack

Perfect for a family stay near the beach! It's the right amount of clean, functional and not 'too fancy'. Our kids are older, but still appreciated the yard and trampoline. Plenty of separate spaces for all to have some quiet time, and not too far from the town centre. 5min stroll to the beach- would book again.

Great getaway spot

Took the family and dogs on a 3 day weekend. It was a great place to relax and getaway. Felt close to nature with the sounds of the bird life in the front yard. Great beach walks, Arthurs seat, and dining. Everything is so close. Had a blast.

Relaxing Summer Holiday

A great place to stay for a relaxing beach holiday. Comfortable living areas, fantastic backyard for the kids to play in, and a wonderful deck with sea views. Short drive to beach and shops. We had a lovely time, and would definitely come back again.

Easy and lovely for a low key break

The house is lovely with that real beach shack vibe, lots of nice original touches end enough modern convenience. We loved the garden, the verandah, the rooms were all great. Quick walk to the beach, great little pocket of Dromana. If you are looking for a super low-key kind of holiday this is a great place. Only thing to note is that the nature of the house is that there is a bit of echo - the bunk room, while it is suitable for young kids is not particularly suitable for (4) teenagers or adults. Other than that it's perfect and we will be back.

Tired property but great location

The property is probably a little tired & a tad over priced. Sound carries like crazy in the house & could do with some hallway rugs etc to try address this. Provision of linen & other essentials such as foil/baking paper, tea, coffee (for the machine), should be considered by the owners. Coming for a wknd stay is more work than desired, especially for a family! Location is great...so close to the beach with an awesome view. Not too far from places you'll want to visit.

Fantastic location, beautiful property

We had a great time staying at the "shack", which is a beautiful house with many original features. The pictures don't lie. The views are great, you have a lot less freeway noise that in most other places in Dromana, and yes the fireplace is real. No "The Block"-style luxuries here - no glass shower walls, no fancy bedrooms, no granite kitchen tops, no dishwasher, no hot tub - just a well-maintained, clean property with everything you need to relax and have a good time at the beach. Just be aware that the second payment goes though a local agency, not HomeAway/stayz and is not covered by their "Book with Confidence" guarantee. They don't tell you that until you've clicked on "Book now". We didn't have any issued with the local agents though.

Quintessential Beach House

Literally just checked out today (sadly) and it was everything we wanted for our Christmas / New Years holiday. The house itself is very relaxing and peaceful. The location is perfect, with my 2 teenage sons in tow our daily walk to the beach took no more than 5 minutes. Mornings spent on the balcony having breakfast and reading was ideal. Overall our stay at this gem of a holiday house was fantastic.

Great location - very relaxing.

Close to the beach, shops, great little cafes etc - still very peaceful and in a lovely landscaped setting with plenty of parking. Traditional beach house with very comfortable couches and beds. Very clean and freshly painted. A great spot in summer or winter with air conditioning as well as a wood fire. The highlight would be the raised deck with a great view of the water and plenty of outdoor furniture and bbq.

Highly recommended for a relaxing get away!

We had a great stay at this property and highly recommend it for a relaxing get away. Everything was neat and tidy when we arrived, the house was very comfortable and exactly as described. It’s a beautiful spot - we spent most of our time relaxing, reading and enjoying a quiet drink on the balcony while admiring the beautiful view.

Great water views from the deck

Quick easy stroll to the beach. Very good lay-out. 3 bedrooms with comfortable beds, kids bunk room spacious and handy 2nd TV. Comfortable lounge, plenty of outdoor furniture. Nice yard.
