About this property
'The Old Schoolhouse'. A Heritage Experience...
Renovated historic Queensland C1898 Schoolhouse, open plan eclectic interior with its soaring windows and timber ceilings, the perfect enjoyable stay in a park like setting. Situated in the rolling hills of beautiful Greens Creek, it is just a few kilometres east of Gympie just off Tin Can Bay Road. The gateway road to Rainbow Beach and Fraser Island.
You can sit on the two wide schoolhouse timber verandas with a beverage as you choose and overlook the scenery and our wonderful birdlife.
The huge open spaced interior of the historic schoolhouse is decorated in an eclectic mix style. Framed by huge schoolhouse windows each end of the open space. Eclectic interior style for discerning guests overlayed by a beautiful Blackbutt polished timber floor.
A home away from home...furnished to make you feel at home and relaxed. Internet connection. TV and radio provided.
If you wish to have a hit of tennis on the rural unmarked court you are welcome. Racquets and balls are available...at no cost!

This is an older well maintained property which can get cold in winter like all Queenslander houses. Gympie can be down as low as 2 Celsius in winter. Bring warm clothes. Summer can be hot, up to 35 Celsius with cooler nights. We have ceiling fans for efficient reverse cycle heating and cooling. However, we have a complimentary wood fire for winter. And electric blankets. Apple TV installed on high definition 32" TV and associated add on programs, such as news channels, movies, NetFlix and Stan.
Ceiling fans.
External two burner 'Beef Eater' BBQ for your use.
Concrete or grass based hard stand for a car and trailer if required.
We know how much guests will love to remember their stay in the heritage schoolhouse, be it the feel of the softness of our towels or whatever supplied for you to use or the styling of the property.
The beds are top quality with mattress toppers, duvets, feather pillows and high grade white sheets and styling. Bed photos displayed soon as we are still setting up for opening.
Enjoy your stay!
As hosts, we live in the separate on site historic Queenslander, original C1892 Teacher's House on this acreage rural property. We are available to meet your needs as required from time to time. We are only a private distance away from your exquisite historic old schoolhouse abode and we are handy most of the time for any assistance, advice or questions from our guests.
We are situated about 5 km from Mary Street, Central Gympie shopping, not far off Tin Can Bay Road, the gateway to Rainbow Beach and the world heritage proclaimed Fraser Island.
We are on or close to nearby route roads for easy day trip sightseeing access to Tin Can Bay, Rainbow Beach and the coloured sands, Kin Kin, Pomona, Noosa and hinterland, Anamoor, Maleny, Monteville, Mapleton, Kilkivan, Maryborough and Kenilworth.
The Gympie Rattler vintage steam train ride to Anamoor is a short distance away in Gympie. With an antique barn shop opposite the fantastic restored Gympie Rattler Railway Station.
A few minutes by car to the new local 9 km Victory Heights Mountain Bike Trail Network.
