My husband and I recently spent 4 nights at Susan's farmhouse. Great location, SO well stocked and beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed the peacefulness of the location and unlike others we did not find the traffic on the road to be bothersome. Susan was easy to reach at all times and went out of her way to make the house fragrance-free to accommodate my extreme chemical sensitivities. I was SO grateful! But, being sensitive to odors, I may have had a bigger problem with the hard water/anode rod/well problem than others , so for me, I gave the house a four star for that situation. BUT... she is on top of this and I"m sure you just need to ask her about it and not be afraid to book it. With the water problem corrected, it definitely would be a 5 star!! Terrific host!!
Beautifully decorated, new, and clean, clean, clean! Owner has done a wonderful job. Lovely view of fruit trees and barn south and west. On a very busy highway; and had to get used to the hard water smell. Appreciated that it was stocked very well.

Disliked: Location
Lovely home unfortunate traffic noise
The property was lovely and you could tell great care had been given to restoring and decorating this old farmhouse. However, the noise generated on the Pere Marquette highway made outdoor meals and conversation on the patio and deck challenging. This made the site less “pastoral” than we anticipated.
Nice farm house - nicely decorated and equipped for our stay. We would have given this house a "five star" rating except for the really smelly hot water. We have had this with well water and it comes from a rod in the hot water tank. Have a plumber replace or remove the sacrificial rod now!
Four of us stayed here for a girls weekend. This Farmhouse has been totally renovated top to bottom with everything you could possible need -- and everything is in excellent new condition, from the plates to the furniture and linens and towels. After enjoying activities in the Ludington area, we sat on the back deck in the evening and made a fire in the fire pit. We would highly recommend this vacation rental
