A self-contained unit on the second floor with a view of three pools and garden view, 100 steps from the Caribbean Sea. Large front balcony with ceiling fan, table and chairs, Chaise lounge chairs, over looking the pools and smaller balcony on the back looking over the Belize landscape.

There is a self-contained kitchen with an oven, stove top, microwave, fridge, and freezer. Fully equipped with cooking and eating utensils , espresso machine, grilled sandwich machine, blender, toaster, and rice maker. Water cooler.

It has a large shower, air conditioning, and ceiling fans. Fully Furnished. T.V (no satellite or cable but streaming T.V), DVD player,iPod dock. WiFi internet access in the unit and in public areas. Roku to stream programming on the bedroom T.V, as well as a Smart flat-screen T.V. in the living area. There is also a Nintendo Wii with games.

My unit has a safe and localized alarm system with sensors on the back and front doors. Night time security patrols the resort grounds.

Our unit has access free of charge to the resort kayaks, paddle boards, and bikes on a limited first come, first serve basis.

One queen bed in the bedroom as well as a queen fold out sofa. Housekeeping is provided by the resort. ( For stays over 28 days housekeeping is provided for a fee).( Pre-arrival and departure cleanings are included in the price). Towels, linens provided.

Relax by one of the three pools (one is aduots only) or swim in the sea. Snorkel offshore. The world's second longest reef is just offshore from our location.(Sargassum does randomly hit Belize as it does in Mexico and the Caribbean). Enjoy the restaurant and pool bar.

Take a tour, dive, or snorkel with the resorts partnership with a PADI and SSI Certified tour company. Please check with the resort for rates. Or just relax, read on the beach, and sip a cocktail.

Also you can rent a golf cart and take the road. Golf carts can be rented hourly, daily, or weekly. Please inquire with the resort on availability and rates. You can also rent your own cart in town if you want to shop rates. The roads up north can get quite bumpy and are an adventure in themselves. They tend to get pot holes. If they don't get graded enough. During rainy periods, they can get standing water. There are very few paved roads on the island, apart from closer to town.

There is a small restaurant at the resort that makes delicious food and the best cocktails, you can order food to your unit, eat in the restaurant, poolside or have a romantic dinner on the beach, or get food from San Pedro and cook yourself. Grocery delivery can also be organized through the resort for a fee.

I collect Local Government taxes and fees, which will show up on your booking. I pay this amount directly to the resort/Government and have no control over this.

Do not hesitate to ask any questions about the unit, resort, or surrounding area. Ask me about Ambergris Caye, San Pedro, and Belize. I can answer questions about travel, excursions, and tours. I want your stay to be everything you wish for.

Sapphire Beach Resort Ambergris Caye Belize

Beautiful Resort. A little bit more quaint than a "Resort". Which is a plus! Sand walkways - three pools - restaurant was excellent!(but very quiet - a little music please) Front desk, grounds folks, and everyone was very good and helpful - (Sheila, Kenya).

Mother daughter trip

Enjoyed our stay at the property, all staff were amazing and knowledgeable. Knowing now how far from town it is I may choose to stay closer but that’s only because how I like to vacation. There was nothing I could say negatively about the property or listing.

A low key vacation at a quiet spot

The condo is part of a small resort on the east side of Ambergris Key. The resort is some distance from San Pedro and it is best to center yourself in the local area unless you want to be regularly traveling rough roads by golf cart. The resort has 3 small pools, one of which is designated for adults only. Unfortunately the beach was loaded with sargassum at the time of our stay rendering it virtually unusable. We contented ourselves with the pool and travelled twice to Secret Beach, which is on the west side of the caye and about a 40 minute trip away. We also used the resort bikes daily and had good 75 minutes bike rides early in the morning before it got too hot. We liked walking the local area in the early evening. It is very safe for biking or walking. The staff at the resort are friendly and helpful and will quickly address any questions or concerns you may have There is a restaurant on site, but there are better places to eat a short golf cart ride away. There are a couple of stores about a 10 or 15 minute walk from the store where you can buy some basic groceries , beer , wine and other spirits. We purchased most of our groceries in San Pedro before coming out to the resort, but did pop into these stores to replenish our items.

Brief stay

Check-in was swift and staff were communicative throughout to ensure a stress free Check-in. Unit floors were a bit dirty. A part of the back patio rails were chirped. Nevertheless, the staff here were phenomenal, well knowledgeable about the area for things to do. Always ready to help and provide support when needed, thanks to Eiden Campos and lisandro Yascal for your great tips around the island. The resort is kinda remote and bushy, so the mosquitoes here are aggressive, so bring a lot of repellant.

Great location and experience

My recent experience at Jason's Sapphire Beach Resort property was truly exceptional. Both the host and management were outstanding. Jason maintained communication with us throughout our stay, ensuring a seamless experience. Upon arrival, Rose and Monica warmly welcomed us with hospitality, assisting us with settling in and ensuring we had everything we needed, including arranging reservations for our excursions. It was undoubtedly one of the best and most memorable vacations. We will definitely come back again. Thank you.

Best of Belize

Our family had a wonderful time at Sapphire Beach. Our unit was nice and clean and the resort grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. The beach and view were out of this world. The Gem has the best food ever. But most of all the staff was amazing. Everyone there became our dearest friends. We will miss them the most but.....we will most definitely be back to see them. I recommend Sapphire Beach to anyone traveling to Belize, its a little far north of San Pedro but very much worth the trip. Beautiful place, wonderful restaurant and bar, great dive shop and the best people and staff on the island.

Great place to get away and relax

If you just want to refresh and renew, it would be hard to beat this place. The staff are super friendly; GEM, the on-site restaurant serves up excellent meals; the ladies at the front desk can handle just about anything you might require; pools are serviced daily and are great to lay around. WI-FI and internet are pretty good unless the whole country is down; location is either a blessing or a challenge depending on what you’re looking for. Be sure to hang out at the Tiki Bar. Play some corn hole. Make new friends.

Quiet and serene

Perfect for 2 older scuba divers looking for some peace and quiet from the party town filled with 100s of golf carts. White sands dive shops picks customers up at the Sapphire dock at 8 am each morning for no additional cost And provided a great diving experience. Resort has 3 separate pools, adults only and one for the kids. Edwin at the Tiki Bar was always smiles. Second floor unit has nice breezes in the evenings and was perfect for sunset dinners on the deck. Kitchen fully stocked with everything you would need to cook any kind of dinner. Queen bed was very firm but better than being too soft. All in all, it was a great for the week.

My boyfriend and I had the most pleasurable time stay in Jason's Condo.... staring with his friendly and factual replies to any questions or concerns before and during our booking. I had the utmost confidence in knowing we'd be very well taken care of in all faucets of our planning thru arrival there. Upon our arrival everything went very smooth, along with all the connections in arriving to SAN Pedro on the Water Taxi, and Sapphire Beach Resort taking care of picking us up by their very friendly and competent On site Tour Guide Hill, of No Worries Tours. The Condo itself was gorgeous and quite upscale, comfortable and clean. Fresh flowers accented the beautifully folded towels on our bed, as well as on the kitchen table, and in the bathroom.... I LOVED their shower!! I hope we will be lucky enough to stay at this Condo again this winter or Spring, and wish to say a big thank you to Jason, Sapphire Beach Resort, and Hill, for a wonderful time.... we had no disappointments (:

Great stay at Sapphire Beach Resort - Ambergreis Caye!

Overall, our stay at the Sapphire Beach Resort in Ambergris Caye, Belize was excellent. The owner (Jason) was very engaged with us prior to our trip – letting us know what to expect; providing recommendations on services; connecting us with the resort event coordinator (Ethan). Ethan reserved our golf cart (the most common mode of transportation) and arranged for someone to meet us and escort us to the resort. They waited as we stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few items. One opportunity that is not a reflection of the rental unit or the resort; are the potholes in the roads. The resort is 10 miles north of San Pedro; and the roads are rough. It takes about 40+ minutes to travel the 10 miles. Our cart malfunctioned on the way to the resort. We switched carts with our escorts, and we continued. We had one other issue with the replacement cart later in the week. At the resort, we were met by Ethan where we did our temperature scans and checked in. Our rental unit was excellent- clean and beautifully decorated. Nice and quaint – perfect for a couple’s trip. Plenty of cooking equipment; utensils and spices. We felt at home with everything we needed to prepare meals. While we were out for our couple’s massage on the beach, Ethan and housekeeping decorated our unit to help me surprise my wife for Valentine’s Day. We decided to do the special Valentine’s dinner. Tony and the restaurant team set-up tables and fancy linen around the pool. Dinner was very good and reasonable. The Tiki bar was a great place to relax and meet some of the owners and/or renters. The bartender (Emma) was always friendly and helpful. The beach area and dock are well maintained. Beautiful weather the entire time we were at the resort. Again, the overall experience was excellent. The only opportunities were the golf carts and the roads, which the owner has no control over. Thank you Jason for allowing us to enjoy your wonderful unit. Be Blessed!

Private and Tranquil beach resort

Host and management were great. We really felt that the enjoyment of our stay was important to them. Condo was clean and comfortable. The location overlooking the pool was nice. Security was helpful and friendly. The restaurant was tasty and the drinks were strong. The tour operator was not actually on site and apparently hasn't shown up in a couple of weeks but that didn't matter to us. Everything that is under the resort's control is well done. The negatives are a function of climate, location, and politics. The seaweed renders the beach unusable when the wind blows from the north for a few days. This was, unfortunately, the case when we got there. This is a direct result of climate change and our dying oceans and it's truly sad. The three well kept pools gave us swimming alternatives on site and after a day at Secret Beach and five Dives on the trip, I felt I had spent enough time in the sea as it was. The mosquitoes were intense at certain times of the day. Locals reported this is normal after a rain and the resort was spraying daily where they congregate and it seemed to help, but not eradicate them, by any means. Lastly the location is not ideal for visiting the happening parts of San Pedro. It is perfect if you want to be outside of the hustle and bustle but still have access to a restaurant on site. The restaurant was generally very good and fortunately was not any more overpriced than the rest of the restaurants on the island, but be prepared to pay United States Resort Town pricing. None of the restaurant menus would be out of place in Miami as far as their prices are concerned. We were frankly not prepared for this in Belize and spent triple on food what we had anticipated. It is a full 45 minute ride into town. The road is more pothole, currently than road. This was disclosed but after traveling to more than 20 countries I've never seen a road used by tourist this bad. We are extremely adventuresome and it was exciting the first couple of days but my back is still recovering from the hours of pounding it endured. Not a problem of the resort, this is a problem of Belizean politics and lack of funds. I actually recommend buying at this Resort because once the road is improved, values should double or triple almost immediately. All in all it was a good place to stay and we had a great time, but with our 8-year-old we would probably choose somewhere closer to town next time, but honestly we've seen Ambergris now.

They deserve 6 stars, or maybe 8!

From the moment we booked until the moment we departed, Sapphire took care of our every need. From things as small as parking our golf cart for us to booking a last minute tour to delivering supplies to our room and arranging for massages on our balcony to delivering our food and drinks to the beach, they went above and beyond. I just tried to think of something we didn’t like and I cannot think of a single thing we did not love. I’d live here if I could. What’s the monthly rate? Shout out to Marcos and Lisandro who really put in the extra effort. Don’t sleep on the restaurant and tiki bar - great food and drink. Diving with White Sands dive shop and touring with Maya Viv were really the icing on the cake. Get a massage, do some snorkeling, go see a ruin and just enjoy. Sapphire is where you want to be.

Great unit, so-so location

The unit and condo complex was great, the staff were superb, and the area within the complex safe, clean, and well taken care of. The location, however, proved to be very challenging. Road conditions were very poor, making it extremely hard to get into town and much longer than the 45 min advertised. It was more like 1.5 hours of hard driving with large construction trucks barreling down on us. We ended up staying close to the resort, which meant we were dependent on limited and pricey food options. The times we went snorkeling we just paid for a dive shop to come pick us up by boat. This place is suited best if you want to be very far from it all, and don’t mind shelling out US prices for meals.

Love3Love3Love3

Loved that we were away from the hustle n bustle..the unit was on the edge of the often wonky wi-fi, but so what-we were there to "unplug" loved the staff, made so many new friends. When I read some of the comments of others, I was grateful for the comforts and also the "wildness" of Sapphire Beach. Tankless hot water, the nearby mercados with fruit, the help of the staff when I couldn't get the coffeemaker to work..I wished I could be blessed to live here year round..can't wait to return...

Comforts of home with ease of a resort

We loved this location, further from crowds but enough restaurants and things to do to keep us busy and entertained. When we booked we didn’t realize that this rental also comes with daily cleaning and some of the best resort staff you’ll find. Was perfect for spending the day on their beach, using their kayaks and enjoying both the tiki bar and restaurant. Surrounding restaurants were great too! My boys ages 8 and 13 had a great time!

Quiet Casita on the Shores Escape

We spent 7 nights at Sapphire Beach Resort. The resort is about 30 minutes from Secret beach and about 45 minutes from town on a golf cart. Renting a golf cart is a must if you want to get around. If you are looking for a quiet location to sleep, then this is the perfect location. It is mosquito season in Belize, so I would recommend bringing lots of bug spray. The condo was very clean and fully stocked to cook a full meal. The condo has an a/c unit in the bedroom and living room. The bedroom was cozy with a comfortable bed. The host Jason communicated with us throughout making sure all our needs were met. The service was amazing! Lisandro and Aidan at the front desk (hopefully I spelled the names correctly), provided excellent customer service. They had great suggestions on where to go and eat daily. They set up all of our air/taxi transportation to and from the resort which was greatly helpful. This cozy condo felt like a home away from home. I would recommend Casita on the shores at Sapphire Beach Resort.

Gem of a Property on Ambergris Caye

This is a wonderful resort north of San Pedro and Ambergris Caye. It's well maintained, and the staff were truly amazing! Our room was a tad smaller than we realized but it worked great and coming during the normal off-season we pretty much had the place to ourselves, including the use of the (2) regular pools. You can easily rent a golf-cart from here to cruise to such spots as Secret Beach or the Truck Stop. It was a great location for a fun family vacation and thanks again for offering it up!

Quiet and relaxing

The condo is perfect for 2 people, everything you need for making your own meals although the restaurants were awesome. We stayed a month which was enough time to explore the island and have plenty of time to fish and relax. Jason is a great host and keeps you informed prior to arrival. The staff at Sapphire are very friendly and very attentive. Only thing that could be improved is the wifi is slow due to the remoteness of the resort. Overall great stay.

Escape from large resorts to more intimate setting.

Far north where it’s less developed. Beautifully kept grounds with considerate and kind staff. Golf cart is must as travel into San Pedro is half hour on bumpy adventurous roadway. Fishing off shore was productive even for an amateur angler. Easily meet people from all over at tiki hut BBQ events sometimes with live music. Will come back!

We love to travel and fell in love with Belize. The country and it's people.

We always try our best to make someone's vacation as perfect as possible, just like we would like for us when we travel.

Why they chose this property

We fell is love with Belize. The history, the Mayan ruins, the people and the countryside and animals.

Belize is English speaking. Takes U.S dollars of Belize Dollars for everything. The country is stable. It is opening more up to tourists but still not taken over by large multinational hotels chains.

Most of the accommodation is smaller owner owned resorts.

Our resort was one of the only areas we found that had a private beach. The north part of the island is less developed. Further south there are more rocks and man made elevated beach areas. The world's second longest reef lays just off shore from the resort.

The resort is a good distance from town. You need to take transport to and from town. Or you can rent a golf cart to get around or ride bikes. The road can get bumpy especially after rain.

Some people say it is far to get to the resort but it's semi remote location is part of it's appeal for many, and the ride is picturesque. If you rent a golf cart or get a taxi it is an adventure drive through small resorts and local terrain. Please ask about road conditions if renting a golf cart. There are no lights on the road at night.

You can enjoy prepared food from the resorts small restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (Check on the restaurants hours based on season)Have it in the restaurant, at the bar in your unit or even on the beach. Or you can have the resort or go yourself into town and purchase supplies and cook in the unit. Make your own cocktails with the units blender.

What makes this property unique

Please contact me for any information you may need on our unit, the resort, Ambergris Caye and Belize. Any travel information etc, I will answer as much as I can.

I want your stay to be everything you wish for.

The location is beautiful with the Caribbean on one side and Belize jungle on the other. You are far enough away to feel relaxed from the hustle of life but can get access to most things you need.

Free use of bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, for guests, in a first come basis.

The Resort will take over the booking once you have booked. They are excellent at preparing you for your visit and making sure your stay is great. I collect local Government taxes and fees that I pay directly to the resort/Government.
