Spacious spotless villa
As we were just a couple, this villa had plenty of space for us. Yaiza is a good central location to explore the island from and it feels a more authentic experience than the tourist hot spots. One reviewer comments on the barking dogs. We noticed them too, as well as a cockerel but this is just part of country life and adds to the experience....as did the visiting doves and pigeons. We even enjoyed a fly past by hoopoes on a couple of days.
Our weather was mixed (the week began with a calima) and so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool as much as we would have liked but when we did we found it nice and warm. In February the pool is in shade from 3ish which was a shame.
We were disappointed that the garden had lost some of the bigger trees shown in the pictures and the terrace would benefit from a few more plants. The terrace to the rear of the house is a lovely space to catch the late afternoon sun with comfy seating and a view to the sea.
Inside the villa is very well equipped and the main bed is huge and comfortable. We slept very well indeed. We did find the house quite dark in the evening and could have done with some more lights. The Tv is only Spanish channels but that didn’t bother us as we don’t tend to watch it!
All in all this was a good trip, the villa isn’t cheap but I guess that’s the price you pay for a larger villa with a heated pool. We would happily come here again.
