Great location near forest park at U City Loop. Clean and beautiful original home in historic neighborhood. Perfect for our group of kids and adults.

Hi, Sarah,
Thank you so much for the review! Really appreciate you took extra care of the house and kept it in a super well condition! Welcome back anytime!
We did a 4 day stay with our family of 7. Great location, all our activities were a short drive away. Safe neighborhood and nice property. Host was quick to respond when we had questions. Would stay here again.
Owner was very receptive, house floors were really dirty.
It’s an older house, so you are dealing with creaky floors and such, which is ok. The floors were really dirty/sticky so we had to clean. There were also virtually no pots/pans that weren’t old/rusted/flaking. The owner was apologetic, reimbursed us for our time cleaning and pots/pans we had to buy. It needs a better selection of cooking things, so hopefully that gets adddress so families can stay there.

Hi, Adam,
Again, I apologize for the unpleasant experience of your stay. Would like to take this chance for a little bit more explanation. The dirty/sticky floor (as you pointed out was restricted in kitchen and TV room) was an abnormal incident. The guest checked out on March 22 violated the house policy for having a party event overnight, which is strictly prohibited. Guest said they did cleaning, but guess not totally removed the soda/wine spill on the floor. Please see guest/neighbor message captured below:
I'll add some pictures to show all cookware available in the property and open to additional request from future guests

Hello, I live next door at 9999 XXXXXX Blvd and there were 4 young men banging on the doors, yelling and climbing on the roof to access the window at your Airbnb around 6am. I did call the police and I’m not sure what happened from there. There van is still outside and the inside windows are covered with newspaper. Just making you aware just in case they were trying to break in.

Hi, Roxxx
Thanks for your help and bring this to my attention! I did have guest check in last night, but definitely not 6am in the morning. Thanks for keeping eyes for us and calling police and I hope this incident not bring much trouble to you
The home was not clean. There were short curly hairs on the bathroom floor and in the shower. The glass tables were smeared, the water didn't work beyond a trickle in the kitchen, the bedroom doorknob fell off (my husband fixed it and another one so we wouldn't get locked in), I saw the biggest bug of my life inside, and the front door (locks from the inside with a key) was very difficult to work. I contacted the owner about the cleanliness right away and she claimed she would look into it and I never heard back from her. I cleaned up the bathrooms to make them usable and wanted to leave to go to a hotel, but as it was move in week for college for our daughter, that didn't work out. Luckily, I have never had such an experience at a rental before and hope never to again. Our flight was postponed due to weather and although the house had availability we high tailed it to a hotel after leaving our daughter at the dorms. To explain the experience, my college daughter was happy to move into somewhere clean- an old dingy dorm room.
We needed to stay close to WashU for a few days to drop our son off at school. We were a 10 minute walk (3 blocks) from the school. Very convenient! We liked the private parking in the back. Kept our car off the street. The house was nice. It was old and the floors creeked alot. I liked the old charm. bathroom and kitchen had been nicely updated. The beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was fine. A little nervous at first but felt comfortable enough after 3 days to walk at night down the street to the restaurants. The manager was very nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again.
