Bad Layout, Dirty & Needs Updating

Unit needs updating and cleaning. No exterior lighting-felt unsafe at night. Front door goes into laundry room, then bathroom then studio. Unable to secure belongings due to previous guest lost key. Windows have sheers & rolling blinds (from 1960’s). Loveseat in the room has a cover on it & stinks badly & does not face TV. Only place to sit is on bed. The floor felt dirty and my white socks proved it, they were black after wearing them once. I found a swiffer mop head & cleaned floor. Shower wouldn’t drain so had to call plumber, Owner expected us to stay with plumber which wasted 2 days of our vacation. Plus plumber did not clean up very well so again I ended up cleaning the floor. The split unit (A/C & heat) did not work properly. No live bugs seen, however, many dead bugs in cabinets. Overall unit needs deep cleaning, updating & plumbing fixed (according to plumber, not me).

Hi Karen, The owner was surprised to see your review after you didn't mention any cleanliness concerns or issues with the A/C when they checked in with you during your stay. They take the experience of their guests seriously, and they will be going over your feedback with their cleaning service. The owner is always responsive to anything their guests may need - they responded quickly and sent out a plumber after you reached out, who determined that the issue with the shower was caused by a clogged toilet drain. We're confident that the owner and their local team will continue to provide great hospitality for their guests!

All-in-all was a great stay! Communication was always great 🙂 Life gets busy and sometimes its best to text...responses did not take very long. The unit is very spacious and has all you can think of (even a hair dryer). Very nice stackable washer/dryer in the unit. The living space is very spacious which also includes a kitchen area with a flat top stove. The neighborhood is very quiet with grocery shopping, restaurants, and beach close by.

Very Private. Owner was super nice. All appliances were top of the line, absolutely no complaints. Was extremely clean and everything seemed very well taken care of. Definitely give this place 110% rating. I would have to say I got he best bang for my buck!

Pics completely misleading. That is the owners porch/door. The unit is to the left and had an oversized motorcycle with a filthy cover on that porch area. The 2 large garbage cans and various loose garbage completed the view. The bed pillows stunk of old perspiration and the bathroom facilities were a joke. Disgusting bathroom mirror had old toothpaste/soap spray and greasy looking smears. Horribly disappointing.
