This family themed cozy, conveniently located cabin is excellent for family or adults who enjoy a mountain decor. themed vacation. Located at the lower level of Tahoe Donner is only 15-20 minutes from Palisades Tahoe (Squaw Valley) Alpine Meadows, Northstar, and Sugar Bowl ski areas and the Town of Truckee. the master with a king bed is upstairs and offers a quiet retreat with an attached master bath. The two first floor bedrooms offers two bedrooms, both with a queen beds. The wood burning stove (we provide wood) offers a toasty fire in addition to the heating system. One full bath upstairs and downstairs. The kitchen provides all of your cooking needs for great meals.
The amenities within Tahoe Donner provide access to SnowPlay, a snow play area for children https://www.tahoedonner.com/amenities/amenities/snowplay/. Tahoe Donner Downhill ski area, and world class Alder Creek Cross Country Ski Area, both only 3 miles up the hill. heated pools, jacuzzis, steam rooms, exercise classes and a gym for a members guest fee.
We provide dishes, mugs, wine glasses, as well as a coffee maker, 4 slice toaster, waffle maker, etc. Logs are provided for a crackling fire in the wood burning stove. The kitchen includes a quiet dishwasher, microwave, gas range and large refrigerator.
As part of your rental, you receive two member guest cards providing access to the amenities available in Tahoe Donner. Each one of the guest cards allows access for up to four guests not counting children 6 and under. There is a daily fee, per person/day that applies to rental guests. All children under 7 are free. Daily Access Fees are only good for single use; they are no longer transferable across amenities.

Perfect stay for a multi-generational family trip!

We went up with my two small kids (2 & 4), Cousin, and my mother in law (70+). The trip was perfect! Having a nice upstairs master allowed my husband and I to get away from the rest of the crew -- and to take the little guy up for a quiet nap. Heaters/fire place/water/dishwasher/etc all worked perfectly. Checkin was a breeze -- good instructions! Really appreciated the Pack N PLay and that the house had some basic supplies like Salt, some spices, ketchup, etc. Will definitely stay here again :)

Nice family home in good location

We spent two weeks working remotely from Heidi’s home this summer. The house was very conducive for two adults to wfh with multiple desks and strong WiFi. Heidi was a great host, very accommodating and easy to get a hold of. Location was great with a hike trail across the road and about 20 minute walk to the rec center.

Amazing stay. Beautiful home and awesome service!!

We got the opportunity to build a dock on the Donner lake and from October to late November. Long story short the job ended up being extended and the place to stay. Heidi was extremely responsive and friendly with all of my questions and offered awesome service! The amazing home made it something nice to look forward to after a long cold day of working on the lake. The beds were better than a hotel and the rooms were very spacious and accommodating. I would stay here again and bring my wife next time. Thank you Heidi, you were a life saver for me and my 3 co workers!

Great cabin - very comfortable for the 6 of us

My best friend and I took our 4 boys up for the weekend and it fit us all nicely. We ended up putting them upstairs in the master since it has the loft area. The bunk room is downstairs across from the other room with a queen bed, so the adults took those rooms and kids all piled in upstairs. It probably would've been a bit cramped with 4 adults and 4 kids, but our boys are 10-15 years old so they take up a lot of space haha. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and the flannel sheets were cozy. We'll be back!

Great Tahoe Donner Home

We really loved our stay at Heidi and Bryan's home. The home was comfortably furnished and the kitchen was very well stocked w/ all the items we needed. The day we arrived, it was sunny and warm, where we were able to enjoy chilled wine and beers on the deck after a day of spring skiing. The next day, it was freezing and the rain turned to snow by the afternoon, which kept us in the house with a roaring fire and pulling out games and cards to entertain ourselves. There were so many sleeping arrangement options with the 3 bedrooms and the loft (w/ 2 futon couch/beds) and all the beds were very comfy w/ plush bedding. If you have kids, the open area in the backyard made for a fun place to try to make a snowman, the loft has a separate TV, and there were quite a few games to choose from in the loft area. We definitely plan to keep this vrbo listing on our list for future stays!

Cozy and Warm!

Heidi did a great job accommodating us for the weekend! The space was very clean and tidy. She had enough space to accommodate our party of ten. The cabin was well stocked with spices, utensils, pots, and pans. There were a lot of games and movies as well. There was also enough hot water to provide for our entire party. We had a great time and look forward to working with Heidi again.

All Around Excellent!

Excellent cabin and fantastic amenities. Simply perfect for a family getaway to the snow. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed every moment. House has good open layout which creates the perfect back drop for family time, board games and cozying down to watch a movie. Beautiful and well stocked kitchen, views of snowy forest from every window, amazing wood stove for a crackling fire after a day on the slopes. House is in a great location, easy hwy access and literally minutes away from all the activities Tahoe Donner offers. My husband appreciated the visitor passes and used the gym each day. We were so close to TD downhill ski slopes which gave our 3 year old the opportunity for the best first ski lesson experience ever! Heidi was the most wonderful owner to work with and she truly did everything she could to make our trip phenomenal!!! We'll be back:)

We had a great stay at this property. The owners Heidi and Brian were great! I had some issues not receiving the the check in instructions, so when I had to call them and ask them a few questions they helped me and new exactly what I needed to do. Brian took the time to FaceTime me to figure out an issue I had in the upstairs bathroom. We had an awesome time and would definitely rent from them again! Thank you Brian and Heidi for renting my family your cabin!

Great Cabin with great outdoor seating

We were 9 friends who stayed there for the Labor Day weekend. The cabin was neat and clean, we were welcomed with chips and wine. Lots of kitchenware, clean towels and beds. Great TV and sound system, as the other cabins are a bit far from the cabin you can step up the volume with no complaints. Best outdoor seating with fire place included. We liked every bit of the cabin and the amenities given by Bryan and Heidi. We dint even get a chance to call to complain if something is not working(which is a positive sign). Only thing I would suggest is to have some blinds for the windows above the patio as the sun rays directly fall on the TV and half of the TV is not visible because of it. The cabin is very near to Safeway, which helps. PS: Better than what you see in the pictures.

Beautiful Place!

My Father and his wife stayed here on their visit to Truckee and it could not have been a better fit. Bryan and Heidi were amazing to deal with! This cabin was exactly what my friends and I were looking for this weekend. We played board games and went skiing. The cabin had extra silverware and glasses of every kind. Very comfortable. When you rent a cabin it is all about the responsiveness of the owner. These owners were great. Clear directions made for a great stay. Can't go wrong here.

Great place to stay

This is a wonderful place to stay. It was perfect for my family, two kids, 3 and 6 and my in-laws. Everything was clean and nice. Getting in and out was easy and the guest passes to TahoeDonner were really helpful. The only drawback was that some of the instructions were not all 100% clear or easy to find. Either way, I would stay again and recommend it to others.

Great retreat for families

We had a wonderful time with our kids and our friends and their kids. Downstairs had an open floor plan between the kitchen, dining area, fireplace and dining area, which made it great for everyone to hang out. The cabin was clean, and Heidi kept in good contact with us about our arrival and departure. Our kids had fun playing in the snow in the backyard, perhaps even more fun than going to the sledding hills. The Tahoe Donner ski area is perfect for families, and it was a short drive from the cabin. I used the gym facilities at Tahoe Donner Trout Creek for $8/day; our families used the spa and heated pool. We enjoy the area and look forward to returning soon.

Our family enjoys all seasons and activities including the winter snow for skiing and boarding to the summer season for kayaking and hiking. In any season and weather, great family memories can be made as well as family meals created in the kitchen, playing games with a fire or watching sports on the two TV's. .

Why they chose this property

Our cabin is conveniently located at the entrance of Tahoe Donner with easy access in or out during the winter months, therefore avoiding much traffic or saving on the Uber expense for your ride home. Located in the lower area of Tahoe Donner, it allows for easy and quick access to the slopes, market or town. To Northstar and Squaw ski resorts it is only 20 minutes. In winter, you are welcome to use our snowshoes to hike on the trail across from the cabin.
