About this property
Sirena's Isle Retreat - Waterfront with private dock
Sirena's (Spanish for Mermaid's) Isle is a tiny point of land in our back yard facing the town of Oriental, on the banks of Otter Creek and a haven for great late-night story tell 'in around the fire pit! When at Sirena's Isle Retreat, Sleeping Quarters for the Captains, Mates and your crew will include space for 9 or 11 if the full sleeping sofa is used. Our water front home features an Admiral size Master Bedroom with a huge California King bed, a Deluxe Master Bathroom with an oversized Jacuzzi tub, large shower and a twin-sinks with a makeup vanity to prepare handsomely for any pillaging engagement or just an outing on our town! The second Bedroom has a queen bed and oversized closet for to store your attire from your travel trunks while in port. The FROG sleeping area is a large finished room over the garage supports 5 single crew beds upstairs away from any late-night festivities that me be in the Main Hall (or vice versa).
At the water, you'll enjoy the views from Sirena's Retreat's “Plank Walk to the dock”. A short lighted bridge that leads to your own private (very small) Sirena's Island with seating and a fire pit to roast oysters, game or your catch if you wish, at the water's edge. A nice evening fire is also a pleasure which sometimes attracts to local dolphin, Otters and the occasional Manatee wayfarers to splash and enjoy your company, making waves and noise to express their fun at your festivity in the dark of late evenings. During the daylight hours, on the plank walk and your private dock, you'll appreciate the great views of nature, birds and the coast line across Greens & Otter Creek. There is an attached Boat-Lift that will support your fishing boat (20'and under) and the dock has a lower Kayak / Canoe step down to access your Paddleable touring and fishing vessels (average water depth is 3'). The dock also sports a cleaning table to prepare the catch of the day and the catch remains attract the blue fin crabs to catch under the dock later! Be prepared to make your own exciting memories to share with future generations!
*Pets allowed with a $25 per day per pet collected by the host prior to arrival.* Stays longer than 27 days will be assessed an additional cleaning fee, collected by host prior to arrival. **This property is for your enjoyment and not shared with other renters.

The home, the sunroom, the view - everything was so nice. The home was very clean, and the bed and bedding was so comfortable. Such a wonderful place to stay for the holidays.
My husband and I spent July 4th weekend at Sirena's retreat. Check-in was super easy, the house and property were clean and just as expected. Oriental and the residents we met were so friendly. We enjoyed the parade and sat on the dock to enjoy the fireworks show. Couldnt have asked for a better stay!

Having Christmas with our son and daughter n law at there new home in marines. Love the area and definitely stay again. House and location beautiful. Plenty of room.
This property is very relaxing, offering many amenities.
Beautiful flora and fauna especially here at the beginning of Spring. Many areas to sit and take it all in … from the beautiful sunroom overlooking the creek and waters leading to Oriental to the outside deck with charcoal grill, not to mention the dock and fire pit that is at waters edge. Bedroom, bath and kitchen, all very well appointed. Highly recommend this property for not only its relaxing home and property but also for those who choose to bring their boats/kayaks and enjoy water activities.

HOUSE IS BEAUTIFUL BUT AGENCY THAT RENTS IT DID NOT PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR ANYTHING, SUCH AS HOW TO USE TV, WHEN TO PUT TRASH OUT, ETC. LAMPS IN LIVING ROOM DID NOT WORK, DRAWERS IN KITCHEN DIRTY AND POTS NOT SAFE TO USE BECAUSE FINISH SCRATCHED UP.
Sirena’s Isle was just what our family needed! With a beautiful view of the water, the private dock to tie up our boat and the quiet neighborhood it was the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate for a long weekend! Even our dog came along and left more rested.
Our not quite 2 year old loved being able to walk out to the dock and hop in the boat and also enjoyed seeing the crabs and jellyfish hanging out in the canal.
Downtown Oriental is a 3 minute drive with quaint shops and quiet streets to go for an afternoon stroll. Oriental is the perfect hopping off point on the Neuse. We took advantage of the calm mornings and scooted down to Beaufort (26 miles one way) to look for some of the wild horses.
We fell in love with the town a few years ago and this trip sealed that we will definitely be coming back again.
The house was very clean! The large kitchen with island and bar stools was perfect for letting our son color while I cooked dinner. The oversized master bedroom was its own oasis and the mattress was super comfortable. The “upstairs” bedroom with the twin beds was so cute and our son loved getting to have his own space. The driveway was nice and long with plenty of room for our 21 ft boat on the trailer and a large truck.
The rental company was a breeze to deal with and I would highly recommend them! Carol was super nice and helpful.
10/10 I would highly recommend Sirena’s Isle and Oriental!

Great location on the water and across from the public boat ramp in Oriental NC. Plenty of room in the house and was able to tie up my 26 center console on the dock with no issues. Enough room in the driveway to drop the trailer, park next to it and have room for another couple vehicles in the driveway. Dock was in the back of a creek and protected. Had power on the dock to plug in the boat. Perfect for the fisherman visiting the Neuse River.
This property was great and in a great neighborhood. Oriental is a very friendly town. We stayed for 6 weeks to investigate the area for a potential retirement destination. It made the short list! We brought our boat and dog!

Exceeded our expectations. Boat lift was great to have and location was super convenient. Plenty of space. Loft sleeps 5, then two other bedrooms that could sleep 2. Kitchen was well equipped. Great sunroom.
We really enjoyed our stay in Oriental. The house was very nice and roomy. We felt at home there. The dock and water views were great, too. Oriental is a laid-back town with nice folks. We also enjoyed visiting New Bern Historic Area one day.
Beautiful, clean properly that I felt was better than described. The Private dock was convenient to bring our boat up for mid day lunch while fishing local waters. Beth was very helpful with the reservation.
Thank you for your feedback. We work very hards to make sure that our homes and cottages are welcoming and clean for all of our guests. We appreciate you allowing us to host you and look forward to you staying with us again.
Loved the house's open floorplan and especially the sun room with water views and large master suite. The kids enjoyed the bunk room upstairs, canoeing, and playing on the dock especially. The only negative was the weather and that can't be helped. Customer service was excellent as well.
