About this property

A romantic old Florence view

In the historical heart of Florence, located in Saint Maria Novella' s neighborhood we rent our family property . The flat is at the third and last floor of an ancient tower house (thirteenth century); the flat is supplied with period furniture and new modern appliances . From its picture windows you can see the main monuments of ancient Florence and romantic rooftops. We stay about 300 meters from Santa Maria Novella train station and 25 minutes ( by tramway) from the airport.

    The place is very well furnished and cosy. Kitchen utensils are all what one needs (which was important for us as we like to make our own food), lots of dishes, glasses pots and pans. the bedroom is of good size and so is the bathroom. The place is nicely decorated. A little home away from home.It should be said that the flat is on the third floor and the steps are steep, a bit difficult for the seniors we are. To get to the bedroom from the entrance is another flight of stairs. The heating was a bit sporadic, coming on and off. The weather was cold during our stay and a bit more heat would have been appreciated.There is no washing machine on site but there is a laundry a few minutes away.

    L'appartement est grand et très bien placé. Néanmoins, de mauvaises odeurs d’égout de temps en temps, les draps assez désagréables (pelucheux et rugueux) et les nuisances sonores dans la rue ont un petit peu nui à notre séjour
