Summer near Ludlow
Stay was great. House was very comfortable, surrounded by natural beauty, close to parks and trails and and lakes. Calvin Coolidge homestead was very informative. We saw an eagle, a bear, along with deer and turkeys. The hot tub was so relaxing.
Was in abt for family wedding. House was perfect for our needs. Just fyi sink disposal was slow to drain & backed up a little this am when we were leaving. Also hot tub never got really hot but it was nice!!
Home was spacious, clean. The hot tub was a nice treat for myself and grandkids. The owner was receptive. Hot water heater broke but he sent out help guickly and repaired the issue. The home needs some TLC regarding maintenance but that did not hinder our stay.
This was a great house - right across the street from Lake Rescue and super close to Okemo - though we were there in the summer. We had a great time, and the hosts were accessible and accommodating. Would def stay again!
Great Stay! Great trails and all close by, beautiful weather and was able to see northern lights.
If you have small children the is right on a main road, just watch closely.
This property is idea for a ski weekend. Very close to Okemo and very comfortable. House had almost everything we needed and well designed for hanging out in the living/dining/kitchen area.

Okema Family Vacation
Our experience was over all excellent. This was a charming functional house for 6 adults and 2 children. It was clean and well equipped and stocked. Hot tub was nice after skiing as well as the fireplace. Trevor the property manager was attentive and on point with requests. Will look to definitely come again
Our extended family of 9 easily fit in this house. The house was an easy 5 min drive to the mountain. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. We had some snow while there and the plow showed up very quickly and salted all the walk ways so we had no delay in getting to the mountain.
Ann’s house is absolutely perfect for what we were looking for- just down the road from the mountain, with a hot tub, they allowed us to bring our dog, and the layout was perfect for young children. They provided bang gates and a pack and play which was incredibly helpful and they promptly responded to any of my questions. We’ll be back!
We book this property because of location to Okemo, the amount of persons that could stay, and the great reviews! From day one, Trevor, the property manager, was always available via text for any questions I had. Communication is the key to a good stay! When we arrived, we had 10 people plus pets and fit very comfortably all week. The beds were super comfortable, the sofa was extra large in size and we all we able to eat together as a family in the open concept living area. I winded up not skiing, but my kids did go 3 days. The house was so close to the mountain, I was able to drive back and forth several times a day as needed. Any concerns were addressed immediately! I would definitely book here again! Thank you!

Not bad, not great
The house was okay. On the good side, the bedrooms were clean and comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, there were lots of nice towels and wash cloths, the living room/kitchen/dining area was comfortable for a group and the entry way if perfect for stopping your coats and shoes after being outside before entering the living area. On the downside, there were mouse droppings in a couple of the kitchen drawers, the water pressure is low, the pans and coffee pot needed to be cleaned before we would use them, there were no additional paper towels or trash bags (but they did bring both when I notified them so that was not a big issue), and there is no hand rail on the steps to the upstairs. So all that said, we had a good time and no major problems.
I would like to preface this by saying we did not reach out to the host about anything I will report below. So, it's not like we had issues, reported them, and then they were ignored. The host was very communicative.I think just a little bit of time and care would improve this place quite a bit. Immediately, we noticed that the house was along a main road with cars passing really fast, which was reported in other reviews, but not really detailed in the pictures. The house was relatively clean; clean towels, clean beds, bedding, and it was tidy. However, there were tons of stains on the carpet (no smell at all though, just a bit unpleasant to look at). There were several fruit flies or gnats on the window of the door of the office/side room area off of the deck/patio entrance. At first, they weren't a bother, staying mainly in that room, but as the week went on, they started to fly into other parts of the house. And I noticed another batch of them in en suite off the main bedroom upstairs. The patio set outside on the deck was very rusted, to the point where we had to brush rust off our clothes after sitting there. We were also a bit disappointed that there was no table salt and no foil (or anything else to cover/store food). The place wasn't bad, but for the amount of money we paid to stay, I would have hoped for better. As I said, a little bit of TLC (carpet cleaning, updating some furniture, and slight investment of some basic supplies) would go a long way.

We want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we appreciate your detailed feedback. It’s clear you put thought into sharing what could be improved as well as what you enjoyed. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your comments, and they wanted to share the following:- The homeowner is always happy to provide items like salt or foil if guests reach out during their stay.- The carpet is already in the process of being replaced, and the homeowner regrets that the update was not completed before your visit.- The homeowner is aware that fruit flies can occasionally make their way indoors, especially in warmer months, and will be adding extra exterminator service between longer stays.- Based on your helpful feedback, the deck furniture is now being replaced with new pieces to better match the experience we want guests to have.Thank you again for providing such valuable feedback. We always encourage guests to reach out during their stay so we can help in real time, and we’ll continue improving to ensure future guests have an even better experience.
We had a really nice stay at this property! It was perfect to be able to go paddle in the lake nearby then come back and relax in the hot tub and the deck was what made this property perfect. We had 13 people and it was a bit tight sleeping wise, but think 10-11 would've been perfect. The host was super helpful with any questions we had and quick to respond! Overall, we had a really nice stay at this property and would highly recommend!
The house is a little close to the street, but you wouldn’t ever know it. The house is very cozy, and provides enough space for many people to sleep comfortably. We had 11 people and a dog stay in the house, and we definitely were not right on top of each other. Very clean, and inviting. The deck was a HUGE surprise to us, as it’s a huge space that is covered, we could still be outside enjoying the space and hot tub when it’s bad weather. All in all, it was a smooth process to check in and check out, and we all had an amazing time. We will absolutely inquire about this house next year.
We had a great family vacation over a long weekend. 8 adults, 1 toddler, 1 cat and 1 dog. Good layout with very comfortable beds. Kitchen is well stocked with gear and utensils. Great hot tub and fireplace.
Our family had a great time staying here. The rental was very clean and had plenty of space/beds for a big group. The hot tub and the closeness to Okemo were major pluses. The hosts were very nice and easy to communicate with. Only negatives would be the fact that the house was right on the main busy road and the house got very hot at night. But both of those things were minor and really did not affect our time. Would definitely recommend this place! I’m sure it would be great in the summer as well being across from the lake.

Our Anniversary Stay
We booked this 6 months in advance and couldn’t wait for our vacation. From the moment we arrived it was awesome! January is pretty cold but I immediately lit a nice fire in the wood burning fireplace and loved it! Kept it going for the entire time. Plenty of wood was available for us.
Everything you need is supplied at this home which was awesome. Our contact person was Annie and she was always there to help and answer all questions. Plenty of beds as we had the kids and grandchildren visit us and they all loved it. Just a very home like feel which was awesome.
Oh if you love an amazing Hot tub… it’s there too.
Will definitely be coming back!!
We stayed here for a family wedding up the street at the Echo Lake Inn. The house was extremely clean and well organized. Easy and prompt communication with Ann. Definitely stay if you are in the area for leaf peeping, skiing at Okemo or just enjoying Vermont.
We had a wonderful stay in Ludlow. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. We especially loved the large stove top, bunk beds, and hot tub!!
The house had everything you need but could use a bit of updating. Spacious, great new hot tub, and great location for access to the mountains and lakes
