We got what we paid for

Pros: Walking distance to a nice beach Little garden with a table Easy, free parking Walking distance to restaurants, bus stop, shops A slightly less tourist-intense area Very nice and helpful manager Relatively inexpensive Cons: Noisy (plus a bonus noise from an uninformed construction below) Peeling paint in the bathroom Washing machine with no laundry detergent

Construction in the property is a remodel and it was carefully coordinated to be performed during the day 9am and by 2pm there done. Unit includes all the necessary amenities. We do not include consumables like washing detergent or others. We do include bathroom supplies, towels and all the necessary basics. Regarding the noise its a city apartment with city noise. We live one street away from the unit and well its the city. Close to it all.

The place was very dirty (hair in the shower and sink, dried food in the microwave and on dishes, spills dried in the refrigerator). It was run-down and in need of repair (fan over bed did not work, windows stuck closed- a problem during the 4 hour electrical outage- no running water in kitchen sink). It was a mile to the nearest beach access with chair/umbrella rental. The property backed up to a bank parking lot on the main road, next to a generator where you heard drag racing and music all night. The a/c was on motion sensors so if you were still too long (like while you were sleeping) it would turn off. The owners were quick to respond when we called with problems (the a/c didn’t work at all when we first got there). They provided full-sized amenities like shampoo, conditioner, soap, and sunscreen, but no dish towel or paper towels to dry dishes, no wash clothes for shower or kitchen sink. The pool was not properly maintained and full of algae. We chalked that up to the timing of a hurricane 10 days prior.

Nice Location

Nice Location, good place to stay but poor cleaning. Bed sheets were not clean had hair and makeup. It seems like it was cover up top sheets. Everything else was find but they really need to pay attention in their cleaning service.

Close to everything

The house was close to everything including all of the amazing restaurants which was a definite plus. The beach is extremely close. People are so nice and friendly. Eating at Tomate which is on the corner is a must. The food is so delicious with big portions and not expensive at all. Old San Juan is just minutes away by car/Uber. The house was clean and I am very particular on cleanliness. The only issue was the paint chipping on the ceiling and parts of the wall. But please keep in mind that Puerto Rico has been through A LOT and still remains a beautiful friendly island Other than that there were no complaints. It was noisy due to neighboring areas but we enjoyed it all. We will most likely stay here again in the near further. Thank you.

Great Location and Price

This property is in a great location. You are a block from the beach and it is a very nice beach. You can walk along the beach to go from the more secluded area where you start to the busier area with all of the activities (Para sailing, jet skis, etc.) You are on the same block as one of the best Ceviche restaurants on the island and a couple of bars for some casual food and drinks. I recommend Tomate Mexican and margaritas and when you can't choose your margarita just get the sampler. Uber rides are plentiful in the area and there is a 24/7 grocery store one block away with most items you may want. It is only $8-$10 to go downtown with Uber and $3-$5 to go to Isla Verde. If you have a car there is parking right in front of your place. Please note the unit is in the top floor of a 2 story structure in the back yard of the main house. The unit is recently updated. You have a bathroom with a shower stall and a washer/dryer and a kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, stove, sink (no oven no hood) Very nice 4 person dining table, dishes and glassware. Towels (Bath and beach) and beach chairs. The bedroom is oversized and has a pullout couch and tv so it is a bedroom/living room. This room has the AC for the unit, but there are 3 ceiling fans. On a hot day the kitchen/bathroom may get a little warm. We had 85F and it was fine. The bed is comfortable. We did not pull out the couch. The Wifi works well. The only drawback to the unit is the noise. The windows/walls do not hold out the noise and you are on a busy street across the street from the beach. I live near a busy street so it did not bother me too much except in the morning but if you live in a quiet area at night you will notice it. This place is a very nice place for the price. I would stay again.
