This is a fantastic house in a great location. We loved our stay and have many joyous memories. Holden Beach is a great place to escape to. However, there are some small details that we think were not up to what we expected. These should be addressed. First, the original brochure that I received on line and used to make my decision to rent from the rental company or VRBO indicate a sleeper sofa in the upper living area. I have a copy of this brochure. No wsuch thing was there, so we were forced to rent a sleeper sofa for the week. I think some consideration be given for this. Second: No extra toilet paper or paper towels were provided, basically what was on the toilet when we arrived was supposed to last for the entire week, not good. Third, the small ice maker in the kitchen didn’t work, so we had to keep buy extra ice. Fourth, the kitchen appliances: stove and refrigerator are nearing life’s end. The LG refrigerator should be replaced before you have a major problem with renters. The downstairs kitchen sink and grille could also use some help.The pool was fabulous, our kids enjoyed it. Since we bought our own beach furniture we didn’t use much of the broken chairs and other equipment provided. The porch’s and decks are wonderful and we loved our stay the reverse floor plan with the living area on top.Probably will rents elsewhere if we return to Holden Beach, I think I might get a better deal elsewhere.
