Quiet Lakefront Cabin with Private Fire Pit, Beach and Dock

**Please note that Secord Lake has its water level reduced so that the State of Michigan can fix Secord Dam. By renting this cabin, you are doing so knowing that the water level near this rental does not currently allow for boating or swimming. This note will be removed when the water level returns to normal in 2026.**

This two-bedroom lakeside cabin is the perfect vacation getaway for friends, a couple, or a family. Sitting on 1.38 acres of Pure Michigan paradise, this home offers peace and relaxation to guests along with many modern day amenities.

Amenities in this cabin include central heating, a fully equipped kitchen, a flat screen TV and DVD player, and a washer and dryer. This is a remote vacation home. There is no Wi-Fi or cable television available.

The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed that sleeps two and the second bedroom has a bunk bed that sleeps two. The top bunk has a twin-sized mattress and the bottom bunk has a full-sized mattress. A pull-out couch in the main living area, where the TV is located, also sleeps two.

Are you looking for memorable nights with friends or family? Make use of our large fire pit overlooking the water. This home also offers a private dock for swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and a beautiful sandy beach overlooking Secord Lake.

Downtown West Branch, where you can shop, bar hop, grab a bite to eat or catch a movie, is just 15 minutes away by car. The area also offers nearby access to hundreds of acres of state land for hiking, nature study, ATV adventures, snowmobiling, camping, hunting, fishing, and much more.

Book now and you can enjoy this northern Michigan cabin for less than the cost of a boring hotel. This vacation home is roughly 2.5 hours north of Detroit, just 20 minutes east of I-75.

Family reunion at the lake

Traveled from SC over the 4th for a family reunion/birthdays at a near by lake. The location was perfect for us. Plenty of room, very quiet, very clean and has all the creature comfort essentials. It would be an excellent base camp for deer hunters. We got to see family and get some much needed down time. I would definitely stay here again.

Norther Michigan nature getaway

Loved the forested surroundings and the smell of the abundant pines. Main roads in are hard gravel, but well kept. We probably saw over 100 deer and some turkeys on the roads around Secord Lake. A well maintained house with all the ammenities one needs. And the owner was quite helpful for us. Really enjoyed this stay.

Perfect stay

We had a great time at the cottage. It was quite and very peaceful. We needed it after a stressful year. Even without the lake it was great. Usually we drive around for hiking and fishing. This time we enjoyed staying at the cabin more. The cabin was very clean and spacious. Definitely coming back.
