Located near the heart of Wimberley, the Creek House at Deer Run is the perfect spot for a quiet weekend away.

For nature enthusiasts, the property sits near the soothing Cypress Creek. The Creek House is located on over 11 acres that are shared between the two properties. There are plenty of trees and hills for those who wish to talk a walk and enjoy the serenity of the Hill Country. For those who choose to take it easy, there is a spacious deck that provides a great view of the creek.

When you cross the threshold of the home, you’ll be greeted with a quaint entryway that banks off into the living room area. The property owner is an art collector that enjoys cultivating a collection of eclectic pieces that are displayed throughout the home. The living room provides plenty of seating, as well as a small library for when you want to unleash your inner bookworm. There are numerous windows in the space that let in natural light.

Continuing on into the kitchen, you can enjoy the open space that is fully equipped for whipping up delicious meals. The modern bedrooms both have comfortable king sized beds, and lead into the large shared bathroom. The bathroom gives the luxury of a hotel, with the comfort of still feeling at home. It
contains a roomy walk in shower, as well as a full sized bathtub that is ideal for a relaxing soak.

The Creek House at Deer Run is a slice of contemporary living in the rural Hill Country. It’s ideal for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of life in style.

Wonderful Wimberley Stay

Very quiet, relaxing place to get away for a few days. Access to Wimberley and local attractions is very easy. We did not go into the creek on the property but saw other people nearby use it. The caretaker and owner were very friendly and helpful. I'd stay there again for sure.

Quiet, creek side dwelling

Just loved stepping into this well-designed, well-stocked (bathroom and kitchen) dwelling. Roomy closets with plenty of hangers, comfortable mattress, large kitchen, separate work space with desk, turntable and CD player. LOTS and lots of books and other collections gave a peek into the owners life of travel and culinary skills. Very interesting decor on the walls which suited the cabin's architecture of a cathedral ceiling, open dining and living area with concrete and tile floors. Check in and out was a breeze. Outside deck was comfortable and view of the hillside down to the creek was sublime. Sister cabin just a walkway away but never heard a peep from its occupants. Would stay again in a quick Texas minute...

Perfect quiet escape w/beautiful water access!!

We came for our anniversary and we had an amazing time! The 4 stars for cleanliness is only cause the bathroom had cobwebs around the vanity, but nothing major! Not complaints, but things to note: we were told there was both a propane and charcoal grill, so we didn’t buy charcoal—we only found a charcoal grill. The patio is great, but highly recommended bringing a box fan with you or the property owners install fans on the back porch. This Texas heat was record breaking the weekend we stayed. Overall, the grounds were amazing! Well manicured, tons of shade, and the creek was beautiful—the pictures are accurate! The available kayaks were great. The kitchen was huge and had every dish, utensil, and cooking pot/pan you could need—including glass or plastic champagne flutes for those much needed mimosas. The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable, we slept so good each night. We will definitely come back! We come to Wimberley annually and this is by far the best place we have stayed at!

Nice Stay

We had a wonderful time at Deer Run Creekhouse. We all enjoyed our stay. My only recommendation would be to replace the patio furniture or at least the cushions as they are very stained and dirty looking. They aren't very appealing to sit on. We loved having the kayak and floats to enjoy the beautiful creek Thank you so much for sharing your property!

Relaxing getaway by the creek!

Wonderful, peaceful creekside house a short drive to shops and restaurants. The beds were sooo comfortable! We appreciated the extensive selection of books & the big kitchen. I highly recommend this property!

Great Location to Enjoy Nature and Relax

My family (2 children ages 2 and 8mos) stayed at the Creek Cabin for 5 nights and had a great time exploring the property, fishing, swimming in the creek, and exploring some of the local hot spots in Wimberley. The cabin was clean when we arrived, had most of the basic necessities (would have been nice if shampoo, conditioner and body wash were provided), and even provided various items to enjoy the creek (kayak, life jackets, floats). The property caretaker offered suggestions for local restaurants which we enjoyed (Creekside BBQ). My only recommendation would be to upgrade/add furniture to the balcony area. Overall we had a great stay in Wimberley and would definitely recommend this cabin!

Cozy eclectic romantic

This cabin was so nice! So cozy, filled with some unique art, and has the friendliest owners! The best view, the nicest deck, and so close to downtown Wimberley. There were a few hiccups due to the weather but the owners did everything they could to make sure we were taken care of and accommodated. Will definitely be staying here again!

Love this property!

This is our second stay at the Creek House and it was just as great as the first! The house is comfy and the location on Cypress Creek could not be better. We spent time relaxing in the water, on the porch, and town is just an easy few minutes away.

The location of this house is perfect. The creek is literally steps away and was perfect entertainment for our 2 year old with kayaks and tubes available to use. Not to mention a disc swing and chairs to relax in. House was clean and property owners very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be visiting again!

Girls weekend

The creek house is perfectly situated on the cypress creek and it’s so lovely. We had coffee every morning in chairs by the creek and watched so many deer walk through the property. It’s a very quick drive to Wimberley and other activities in the hill country. A perfect place for a relaxing weekend.
