Fab holiday in the Algarve

We enjoyed a wonderful 10 days at Casa Clara. Communication with Kim before our arrival was very good and we appreciated the restaurant recommendations etc. The house itself was perfect for us. Comfortable beds, good showers, lots of space to be together or to find some space to read in the sun or shade! We didn’t really explore Budens but the area around it has so much to offer all within east reach by car. Thank you 😊

Perfect holiday home

We stayed 14 wonderful days at Casa Clara, we really enjoyed the rooftop terrace, the well equipped kitchen, the air conditioning and the fact that everything was working and cleaned perfectly before our arrival. The resort is well kept and it was perfect to have the gym, tennis and golf course at reduced cost. The gym is very basic, but works. We enjoyed the nice restaurants at Salema much more than the resort restaurant. This part of Algarve is less touristy but still with a lot of activities available.

We loved Casa Clara and Portugal ! This place was fantastic, clean, comfortable and beautiful!

All four of us retirees loved our first stay in Portugal at Casa Clara. The woman who manages it was so friendly (as was everyone in this complex) and language was not an issue. We had everything we needed for a memorable vacation! The internet was great connection. We bought a SIM card at the airport to use our Canadian phones for only 20 euros. We rented a car right at the Faro airport and found that we really needed a car at Casa Clara as the Slalema Beach was a hilly drive. Our leg strength was evident each day as the levels of hills to walk anywhere would be a challenge for anyone with physical challenges. The weather is beautiful there, the pool was a great place to read each day-very peaceful. The every room air conditioning units were greatly appreciated as was the tastefully decorated home. It was such a beautiful place when we arrived. The directions and timely interactions with the owner fir any questions we had were greatly appreciated. They are all friendly, approachable and awesome to deal with. The hot water tank just happened to break when we were there and it was replaced immediately by the excellent property manager. This truly astonished us as the repair happened so quickly (faster than we would ever have had anything repaired in our own home) and the owner even communicated with us for an alternative to get a hot shower but it was repaired so quickly we did not miss anything! We also appreciated all of the manuals to instruct us on the wash machine, and every utensil we needed. Loved the assortment of novels to read, games to play and pamphlets highlighting activities and places yo go. Parking the car st Casa Clara was never an issue . The home is situated on five levels of stairs so guests need yo be physically able to climb stairs regularly. The bedrooms are two levels down from when we entered and the kitchen one level up. The outdoor rooftop area was a joy to dry our clothes and towels and relax with the best view over the hills. We could walk yo the grocery store which also has the coffee shop and bakery (delicious) . We travelled every day and enjoyed many beaches and towns. Sagres, Silves, the shops in Lagos, the fresh seafood, Salema beach, the coastal beaches on the west as well as Marinha beach rated one of the top in the world! Fresh orange juice every day, pomegranate trees, lemon trees, olive trees—all amazing. Cannot wait to return . Make sure you have a car when you go here so you won’t miss all the beauty !

Unvergessliche 14 Tage an der Algarve

Ein wunderbares und sehr komfortables Haus in einer traumhaften Landschaft. Sehr gut ausgestattet. Die große Dachterrasse lud jeden Morgen mit einem traumhaften Ausblick zu einem hervorragendem Start in den Tag ein. Der Standort eignet sich bestens die Algarve zu erkunden. Vor allem der Teil westlich von Lagos bietet wunderbare Strände und unberührte Natur. Wir würde jederzeit gerne hierhin zurückkommen. Hoffentlich schon sehr bald.

A great place in a beautiful part of Europe. Everything was as described. The heated pool in late October was a nice and welcome surprise. Our kids and the kids of friends next door could move freely in the gated back area. Alltogether an easy five star recommendation.

FIrst Class!

This is a first class house with everything you could ask for to enjoy the perfect holiday. Spacious, spotless, modern and well equipped accommodation finished and maintained to a very high standard in a beautiful setting. Just as described and more, with faultless customer service from the owners! The real jewel in the crown is the huge roof terrace, perfect for family meals, enjoying the sun and looking at the wonderful views! The house is just a few steps from the pool and communal area which is kept in pristine condition. The whole resort is excellent offering a wide range of activities for all ages. The golf club offers excellent meals as does the onsite Vicentino Italian restaurant. Supermarkets and restaurants are only 10 minutes away, also the local bakery in next door village, Budens, with the best fresh soft rolls ever! Enjoy a perfect coffee in the village café and watch the world go by! This is truly an unspoilt part of the Algarve where you get an insight into the real Portugal. Beautiful beaches in Salema only 5 minutes away and many more along the coast. Plenty to see and do in a truly unspoilt part of the Algarve away from the hustle and bustle of the large resorts. I cannot recommend this house highly enough - perfect holiday - thank you!

Perfect location

My family and I spent 10 days at Casa Clara this year . Our 3 boys loved the pool area. We especially loved all the roof terraces, where you can get sun all day. It was lovely to have air conditioning inside. Perfect location for beaches ,both the south and west coasts and restaurants. A car is essential . A fab 10 days had by us all. We will be back!!

A beautiful property in a superb location

This property definitely had the wow factor for us. Bright, airy and meticulously clean with sumptuous beds and crisp cotton sheets. Spacious lounge - dining area with plenty of relaxing space. A great dinning table for all the family to relax, eat and drink at. The whole property was well equipped and we wanted for nothing. The roof top terrace was a big hit for our teenagers to sunbath and the grown ups got some peace and quiet with our own sun terrace just outside our bedroom door - a stones throw away from the pool area. There was a fantastic restaurant in the nearby village which we can highly recommend not to mention the little coffee shop that made the most delicious coffee and a decent bar with a pool table/ games room all withing strolling distance. We hired a car and frequented nearby Salema - a small fishing village- which was only 5 mins drive in the car and had the most beautiful beach and more excellent restaurants. We had a totally chilled and wonderful family bonding time and we will definitely be back.

Beautiful accommodation, stunning location!

The accommodation was a stunning townhouse, with 5 levels of plenty space, the views from the riff terrace was one of our favourite times where we all had breakfast every morning. Fully equipped kitchen and a fantastic living space! Opening your bedroom doors into a pool is just a joy every day! With one of the best beaches only a short distance away it was a perfect location for us!

Villa exceptionally well placed within a private enclosed area in the development. Clean, airy rooms, tastefully furnished and well equipped kitchen. I particularly enjoyed the private roof terrace. Pool was very nice and popular with children. I would have liked a juicer for the amazing oranges but this was a minor point. Altogether a brilliant stay.

Home from home with sun terrace and a quiet pool

Recommended - fabulously situated property for getting the sun on the roof terrace. Also the main pool is only used by those properties around it and not most at the resort and is protected by locked gates. Perfect for our children and safety. The weather was fantastic for the end of May and we seemed to live on the roof terrace. Be careful when you book at the resort as the properties opposite do not even have a terrace and this property has 3. The old adage of you get what you pay for is definitely true. We will definitely stay again and are already considering our 2016 dates!
