Un écrin dédié à la détente

Belle découverte ! Nous cherchions le calme et la tranquillité en famille, nous avons été bien servis. Le cadre est très appréciable avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes (je me suis extasiée devant plus d’une fois !). Le logement est très confortable avec son poêle à bois (très apprécié pour de belles soirées jeux de société !) ainsi que le jacuzzi en extérieur (détente maximale après une bonne marche !). Je garde la meilleure pour la fin, Kumari, la propriétaire des lieux, est juste exceptionnelle et sait recevoir. Je conseille donc cette location pour se couper de ce monde de fous et y retourner gonflé à bloc !!!

Outstanding Chalet in a Beautiful Location

We have stayed at this Chalet in the Winter for the last 7 years but its beauty and location really comes out in the summer. As keen outdoor enthusiasts my family and friends, due to our recommendation, have stayed at the chalet on a self catering basis for a number of summers and we keep coming back. Hill walking, Mountaineering, Climbing, Via Ferrata, Mountain Biking, Road Cycling, White Water Rafting, Tandem Para Gliding even Summer Skiing are all within very close proximity as well as great restaurants, cafes and bars. What a place and the owners Jonny and Kumari are on hand to advise on the best places to go if you don't know the area, they even offer guided summer walks as Jonny is an International Mountain Leader. Wow this place is the best. The chalet itself is cosy and luxurious. I never want to leave and you won't want to either. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

We moved to Villaroger in the French Alps from Yorkshire in the UK with our 2 girls Anneha and Fifi 19 years ago. We fell in love with the area whilst working together as chalet hosts for a ski company in La Plagne and Val D'Isere before we had the girls. We moved back to the UK but missed our 'life in the mountains'. We were lucky to find a derelict barn 20 years ago & Jonny renovated it into the home and chalet (SKIVILLAROGER) we have today.
Jonny has since qualified as an International Mountain Leader enabling him to be a qualified walking & snowshoe guide.
We love the Summers as much as the Winter, its a beautiful place to live with lots to do. Our chalet is a true "home from home" in the mountains.

Why they chose this property

We bought here because of the beautiful village and its central position to so many world famous ski resorts. We are so lucky to be able to ski up to 7 different Resorts.
Summer means great weather for relaxing , eating and socialising outside along with summer activities such as walking, cycling, mountain biking, summer skiing on the glacier, riding, and white water rafting. The village is typically French, not commercialised in any way, with beautiful scenery and views. It has a true sense of Community, not a ghost town as so many ski resorts can be out of season. Close to restaurants, bars and Bourg Saint Maurice, everything is easily accessible such as supermarkets, swimming pools, laundrettes etc.
We have the best of both worlds, fabulous skiing and beautiful summers!!!
