The Maui Sunset is famous for its manicured lawns and ocean front location, the wide V shape of the two buildings assure everyone is looking towards the ocean. BUT this condo is on the top floor and closest one bedroom to the ocean. Only the 2 bedrooms are closer. I love this view.

Large private condominium apartment at the resort condominium complex on the beach in sunny Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. 1 bedroom with private attached bathroom. 2nd bathroom down the hall with shower, large living area, dining area, kitchen with breakfast bar. PLUS, large private view deck looking out towards ocean. Beach chairs, pool towels, full size appliances including air conditioning and washer dryer. General Info: The Maui Sunset is located on over 5 acres of oceanfront at Kihei which is considered one of the best locations on the Valley Isle. Kihei is noted for its year-round sunshine, balmy trade winds, and soothing evening air. It is one of the driest and sunniest areas on the entire island, averaging only 10 inches a year! World famous swimming and snorkeling beaches are minutes away at one of the many sandy safe beaches at Kihei and nearby Wailea. Just a short distance (6 miles) from five championship 18-hole resort golf courses at Wailea and Makena. The two buildings frame and protect a large recreational area that is carefully attended and landscaped. The 60-foot swimming pool with its broad decks and abundance of pool furniture invites you to improve on your tan. And the sunsets are amazing. Our only disappointment is the fitness center. It is like working out in a dungeon. Would have rated 5 stars except for that.

Overall I have to say the property is well maintained and our Condo was clean and had an amazing view. The best part of Maui Sunset was actually the sunset every evening, it was incredible. While it looks like nothing great from the street, the grounds and pool are very pretty and very well maintained. Our wifi never worked correctly but other than that I can't really say anything bad about the place.

We like to go to Maui in June because the tradewinds are great. We enjoy kiteboarding right from Maui Sunset and watching the magical sunsets right from our Lanai every night. The rooms and cleaning staff are amazing. The units are extremely quiet due to the concrete structure. I only hope to one day own a condo like this.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice property. Our room was so so. Stains on carpet and sofa (and why carpet at a beach resort???) One other family member had nice updated room, other family members room was worse than ours. Ask for updated room! They did extensive property maintenance last 4 days of our stay. Generators and equipment running all day long! Could not even open slider or enjoy pool for those 4 days until evening. Wish I’d known. Would have planned for different week! Good value I guess. Good for families on budget. A little strict at pool. Wouldn’t let little grandkids play with beach ball. A little too strict on mask rule. Guy sitting all by himself by bbq’s. No one else around, breezy day and still told to put on mask.

Aloha, We were so happy to have you and your family finally be able to make the trip after rescheduling from 2020. Looks like we were able to get your other two condos next door to each other and your condo our best location. There was some unplanned maintenance for a couple of days on the grounds, hopefully you were able to enjoy the beach and island otherwise. The mask rules on Maui are more strict in May 2021 then other parts of the country. Folks are asked to wear a mask, but in the end it is up to them whether to comply. Again, Mahalo and Aloha.

Over priced for the condition of the room.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great staff and wonderful grounds awesome beach access. The furniture in the unit was old, dirty and uncomfortable and the big rattan chair was broken. The A.C. window shakers were noisy and the timers are a nuisance. The AC in the bedroom was the worst and we called to have ii replaced and it was done without question. We should have had the ceiling fan in the bedroom replaced as well because on any speed but high it made a terrible buzzing sound. There was an infestation of ants in the kitchen, I asked for some taro but never followed up on it with maintenance. After all taxes and fees the room was definately not worth the 400+ dollars a night we paid.

Reviewer Comments: We had 12 family members staying at the Maui Sunset and it has everything that the adults and children need to relax and close enough to enjoy the beaches, snorkeling and boating. We rented four condos that are fully equipped. The grounds are maintained daily along with the large pool and six gas grills. The views from the balconies are beautiful looking out to the ocean and the West Mountain with fantastic sunsets. The staff is great, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed it all. Your security man, Joe from Jersey is a pleasure to talk with. Thank you. We will return again.

This year B514 was the winner. Everyone who traveled with us said next year they want a unit that sits up higher with better views. The B building is definitely set up at a better angle than the A building. Unit B514 did not disappoint. It was very clean, new wood floors, and everything worked properly. Thanks again. This was a return visit and as before the suite was perfect, clean, well appointed, shady and cool in the afternoon. The parking was never a problem. The pool and grounds are very well kept and the walk to the beach is right outside the door. We look forward to our next visit.
