Le Relais is situated in a delightful and peaceful village, surrounded by glorious countryside of sunflowers, cornfields and woods, a nature lovers paradise. This lovingly restored 12th century Country post house has all you need for a perfect, relaxing holiday. You can go walking, fishing, beaches, canoe, play golf or tennis, dine out, all within 10 mins. The attractive, enclosed garden provides peace and tranquillity as well as areas for games and activities. Both, a paved area beneath a shady pergola and a sunny terrace, are ideal for alfresco meals.There is a very large, airy dining room (62sq.m) with a piano, seats 28, a spacious salon, comfortably furnished and with plenty of books, opening onto a Perigordian balcony and a large, well equipped farmhouse kitchen. Le Relais is approximately 5km from both St.Severin and Aubeterre, the 'jewel of the Charente'. The wine regions of Bordeaux, St.Emilion/Pomerol and Cognac are not very far and well worth a visit!

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
For the bins, please adhere to the new rules and regulations as outlined in the welcome brochure and by the agent upon arrival.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Empty bottles and containers must be taken away, otherwise a penalty of €100 will be deducted from the €500 breakage deposit.
Please ensure all refuse is correctly disposed of. Otherwise, the bins will not be collected and €200 of the deposit will be retained.

I am Austrian but grew up in Germany where I also worked as cabin crew for Lufthansa for 10 years. We moved to France in 1982 and I lived in Pillac since 1983 together with my three children. Pillac is still the same as it was when we moved here, a quiet and beautiful little village where one can relax and enjoy the lovely surroundings.

Why they chose this property

Le Relais is a great place for groups of all kinds. I had groups with activities, like painting courses, writer's classes etc. but mostly the groups are friends and families with ages ranging from 3 month to 90 years.
There are all kind of activities for everybody and lots of space inside the house and outside in the garden and around the pool.
