The house is spacious, luxury/luxuriously equipped and has a location which offers indeed a splendid view over the harbour. Boat trips to Polruan and Mavagissy are at hand. All in all highly recommended.
Lovely house - lots of room, beautifuly decorated, and great position. Very close to the centre of Fowey and easy stroll to Readymoney cove and coastal path.

Beautiful Property with Beautiful Views
We enjoyed our stay. House had plenty of room to spread out and all the necessities to make it feel like home. Can't beat the views of the quaint little town on the water with sail boats coming and going. The house has been beautifully updated with lots of light in all the bathrooms - always a plus. Be advised that driving is tough loading and unloading car and parking is close by, but quite a hike up to the car park. It was well worth it and we all need more exercise! Owner was extremely responsive and quick with all the help/information needed.
An amazing home from home, fully equipped kitchen, cozy outdoor area and super comfortable beds.
Lots of shops, restaurants, cafes within two min walk. Ferries to Lots of beautiful coastal walks. Lovely local little cove and stunning coastal walk to the Rashleigh Inn! Visit the The Dwelling house just down the road, for a fantastic meal and best cocktails, what a unique venue.
The access road is very small & a dead end, so if you are a nervous driver use the car parks and leave the car there for your stay! Fowey is best seen on foot anyway.
A Very well presented and equiped property for a group of 8.. had a fantastic christmas, easy access into the village and lovely views.
Would not hesitate to use again.
Absolutely fabulous house and location. Had a slight hitch with getting keys to the property which was sorted out quickly by the owner/manager. This property has everything you could need and definitely deserves 5 stars.
A spacious and very well equipped property. Comfortable beds. Excellent art work - are these local artists. Beautiful view of the Estuary from the lounge. Thank you.
The house is absolutely stunning, as are the views. The property has everything you need for an enjoyable stay, and the location is fabulous. Couldn't recommend it more highly. Fowey is beautiful as well.

Stylish comfortable family home with an amazing view in picturesque Fowey
Spending Christmas in Julian's home in Fowey was delightful. I felt privileged to stay in beautiful, historic and friendly Fowey, albeit only for a week. Fowey has everything required; groceries, a selection of bakeries, a fantastic butcher, boutiques and great pubs and restaurants. Julian's home has every convenience necessary for a very comfortable stay, especially the kitchen with two ovens which made Christmas cooking a dream. Julian was very helpful with all aspects of the booking and quick to respond to queries. Thank you Julian, spending Christmas with family and friends in your home was perfect.

A beautiful home!
Fowey is one of our favourite places to visit in Cornwall, our first time was the day after out wedding and we just fell in love with the charm ofor the harbour.
We recently spent a long weekend visiting with friends and really couldn't rate Harbour View higher! After walking down the many, many steps from the car park we were all ready for a cup of tea and an opportunity to put our feet up, Harbour view didn't disappoint and was well worth those steps! The finish is fantastic and it's clear that the owners have spent a lot of money on the finish of the house, from the kitchen and bathrooms to the beautiful flooring and restored fireplaces and stained glass window in the entrance. The beds are extremely comfortable and no expense spared with the finish in each of the rooms that are all clean and inviting. It was really quite an adventure discovering all the new feature lighting! The views are just spectacular and we all spent hours sitting in the various window seats admiring the boats coming up and down the river. There is also a lovely private deck off the kitchen with ample space to dine alfresco and enjoy the sun, a really lovely feature of a really lovely home. That's just what it felt like. We will most definitely be back!

Family Get Together
We spent a lovely family weekend in this delightful house with stunning views. We were in Fowey for a family wedding and the location was perfect - walking distance from both the church and the reception venue at the Fowey Hotel. The house suited all generations and was extremely well equipped. In between the celebrations we were able to relax and enjoy the view from the first floor sitting room. Everything was as described, although be warned, the approach is challenging when arriving in the dark! The lack of a parking space wasn't a problem however, as once unpacked we didn't use the car again as everywhere is easily accessible on foot or by ferry and if you enjoy walking there are plenty of walks starting from the house.

Superb, high quality property with stunning views
On arrival the property was immaculately presented. It was obvious that the property had been refurbished and finished to a very high standard. A true home from home experience. Not your typical rental property. High quality finishes throughout from the kitchen fixtures, fittings and appliances to bathrooms to the external decking and sunbeds.
The views from the front windows across the estuary are stunning.
In short, a fantastic, high quality property that we would visit again without hesitation.

Our family had a wonderful holiday in this excellent property. It was the second visit for some of us and yet again nothing disappointed us. The views from the living room and second floor bedroom are stunning. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, the beds comfortable and furnishings and decoration are luxurious. Would recommend staying at this property without hesitation.

Delightful
Wonderful cottage with fabulous views over Fowey estuary. Tastefully decorated, bright interior and all the mod cons you need. Great walks nearby with views and wonderful pubs, shops and restaurants on your door step. Probably not suitable for disabled - hills and no parking nearby.
About the host
Hosted by Julian Telling
Julian & Lindsay Telling have been visiting Fowey since they were teenagers. The family have had a property in Fowey since the early 70's and have owned No.4 Harbour View since 1987. In 2008 an opportunity arose to purchase No.1 Harbour View which had been empty and in a poor state of repair for a few years. After 12 months of refurbishment No.1 emerged as a contemporary conversion of a Victorian villa benefiting from all the mod cons. In 2017 planning permission was granted to extend the dormer on the top floor thus enlarging the bedroom and views as well as adding a wet room and loo on the first floor. The kitchen has also been changed and doors lead directly on to the rear decking. Why Fowey? Fowey is a very special place which has something to offer for both the young and old. Our house is definitely a home and available for a limited number of weeks every year. After 45 years of visiting Fowey with 4 generations it is our adopted home. Few homes in Fowey benefit from both a spectacular view and out door space.
Why they chose this property
Fowey is one of the most beautiful natural harbours in the UK. Set on the south coast, within St.Austell bay it has its own estuary. Whilst one of the busiest sailing centres in the UK Fowey has changed little over the centuries. It has narrow streets, old properties and a magical history. It has been home to authors such as Daphne du Maurier and Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch and is steeped in naval history not to mention piracy! The unspoilt coast line is virtually all owned by the National Trust. In the summer the town is bustling with holiday makers and sailors and in the winter it enjoys a quieter pace of life. Fowey, however is still very much a working port with china clay docks supporting many large vessels together with a fishing fleet.
What makes this property unique
Harbour View is probably the best location in town. It has the benefit of being on a small private no through road so enjoys privacy and is away from the daily hustle and bustle of Fowey life. Yet within 2 minutes walk you can be in the high street with all its shops, restaurants and pubs. The house has everything required for the perfect stay and Fowey has something to suit everyone. All our guests need to do is pack their clothes as the house has absolutely everything for the perfect stay summer or winter.
