If you're planning a visit to Carmel, the best way to see Carmel is to BE in Carmel! No having to walk across busy Highway One, hear the traffic noise at night after the quiet town has settled in or circling to find parking. You can walk to everything from our location.

The property comfortably sleeps six in two Queens and one King bed.

This updated home is located in a quiet area and is situated on two levels. Each bedroom is quite large by Carmel standards and includes a full bath. The lower level bedrooms are especially large. Short, leisurely stroll to the many shops and restaurants of the quaint village of Carmel-by-the-Sea. There is parking for one in the garage, and one in the driveway. Street parking is also available. Sweeping treetop views with just a peak of the ocean from the large balcony off of the Living Room.

Quick access to Highway One. Large updated and fully equipped kitchen; you will not want for any kitchen gadget if you choose to cook a homemade meal. Tastefully appointed with furniture from the Pottery Barn, Macy's and World Market to name a few. Upgraded mattresses throughout.

Exterior photos are purposely not posted as scammers duplicate them and use them to make fake accounts. I am happy to provide them if you decide to stay. There is also a fee for bringing your doggy which does not seem to be showing on the site.

Will consider a dog under 50 pounds (a single dog, not multiples) with additional fee. (Sorry, no cats).

Great situation for someone remodeling their current home who needs to stay longer term, someone needing a place while they look to buy, someone in town on business or someone just coming to enjoy what Carmel has to offer.

Fantastic kitchen in this house!!

Beautiful Carmel home, somewhat away from the hustle and bustle, which we find nice. The kitchen has been recently remodeled, and is incredibly well-appointed. We cooked several times, and loved the tree-house feel. Plenty of room, spacious living areas, and very near a great walking trail. We'll be back!

Our New Favorite Place to Stay in Carmel!

My wife and I, our parents and our dog stayed at Scottys Treehouse last week and we all absolutely loved the house. The owner, Ann, was extremely flexible and accommodating as we organized our stay and she was very prompt in getting back to us with any questions we had about our stay, before and during. The house really is fantastic, it does not feel like a rental, as it is furnished as a primary residence. So you really feel as if you are staying in someone's house, as such, it was extremely comfortable with excellent furnishings and the latest entertainment system and flat screen TVs. I have never seen a kitchen stocked this well, we cooked half of the week we were there and there was everything we needed and more. Including the simple things like sharp knifes and lots of cutlery and bowls of all sizes. The house is on two levels, two bedrooms & bathrooms downstairs. Both of which are a decent size and big enough for couples to use. There is also an attached useable garage which we parked one of the cars in. The garage also has a washing machine and tumble dryer in case you need it. Upstairs is the master bedroom, attached bathroom. The kitchen is big and has both a bar with three bar stools and a table that comfortably seats six with additional chairs for two more. The lounge is also upstairs and, again, is also quite large. Lots of windows upstairs with tree views from all, plus two small decks. What's great about the upstairs layout of the house is all the windows provide tons of natural light into the house, so it's a great place to hang out and relax. In the past we have rented closer to the beach & towards Carmel Point, however, this is our new favorite location. It is an easy 5-10 minute walk to the restaurants and shops on Ocean Ave. The trails on Mission Trail Park are just round the corner and you can take those down to the Mission, plus they are dog friendly. It is most probably a 20 min walk to the beach, but we opted for a quicker 5 min drive! That is to either the main Carmel beach or Carmel State River Beach. We have stayed in a number of other VRBO's in Carmel over the years, but this was easily our favorite house & location, so will definitely be back for sure!!

Wonderland close to everything

Wonderful cozy home in a great neighborhood. Close to the nature trail and walking distance to downtown. Spotless and a very well equipped kitchen. Loved all the decks and views.

It all started when my husband and I honeymooned in Carmel!

Why they chose this property

When we were house shopping, one of our 'requirements' was that we could easily 'walk to town'. I grew up in a small town in the Midwest and that's just what you did.

My husband and I enjoyed walking into 'downtown' Carmel.
In the evenings if we went to dinner in town, we always walked and carried a flashlight with us for our return trip home as Carmel does not have street lights.

The bedrooms in Scotty's Treehouse are large for Carmel and each has its own full bath. Over the years we have remodeled rooms as we could with the kitchen being the most recently remodeled. We take pride in ownership of our home.

What makes this property unique

At that time we really didn't know what a charming neighborhood we bought into but we sure lucked out. The neighborhood is residential with a mix of long time Carmelites and second home owners.
