Apartment In Heart Of Funchal Old Town

This apartment is located in the heart of the Old Town in Funchal just minutes walk from numerous restaurants and bars. The famous Lavradores Market can be found just three blocks away where you can find everything from flowers, vegetables, and clothes to beverages frequented by the locals. Banks, pharmacies, supermarket, and internet cafĂ©s are all to be found within a few minutes walk. Teleferico (cable car) is five minutes walking distance that takes you to the top of the mountain and the spectacular views over Funchal. The property also comes with a parking space available in the garage. As of the the 1st October 2024 tourists are required to pay €2/day by the Tourism Government of Madeira. Only for the first 7 days. This money should be handed over at arrival so it can be then paid at the CĂąmara Municipal by us.Please have the money in cash before you are handed the keys. Any queries please visit the website given by the Portuguese Government.

we stayed for 9 days in the apartment and it was perfectly suited for what we needed. Very close to the old town area along with restaurants, shops, etc.. visited soccer practice nightly and there was a very nice café/bar on the corner.

Centrally located apartment.

This was our second stay at same place. Everything was great except the beds could use an upgrade. Clean and great location. Walking distance to the city centre, very convenient. Corina and Paulo were very supportive and quick to respond.

Vier Wochen Madeira

Wir waren in der Ferienwohnung in der Altstadt von Funchal gut aufgehoben. Alles in der NĂ€he: Supermarkt, BĂ€cker und alle Restaurants gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Garagenplatz war Gold wert, in Funchal findet man kaum kostenfreie ParkplĂ€tze. Die HaushĂ€lterin war sehr nett und bei jeder Frage sehr hilfsbereit.

Great stay

Great stay! The appartment was very clean and very well positioned in the city. Corina was of great help when needed, and we had everything we needed from the kitchenware to beach towels. It is hot as there is no AC, but the nights are fresher and there is a fan available which made it comfortable nonetheless. I highly recommend the place!!

TrÚs bon séjour

l'appartement est bien situé, il y a un parking payant et surveillé à 2,50 la journée à cÎté, ainsi que des places gratuites pas loin. L'hÎte n'habite pas loin, et reste disponible si jamais on a un problÚme.

Tolle Wohnung in guter Lage

Die Wohnung gut und ausreichend ausgestattet. Der Garagenstellplatz war unbezahlbar bei der Parksituation auf Madeira. Die Waschmaschine wurde gern genutzt um schnell mal WĂ€sche durchzuspĂŒlen. Der zwar kleine Balkon lud am Abend zu Verweilen ein. Das Zentrum und der Hafen waren gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt und kommen gern wieder.

Fantastic stay

My stay exceeded all expectations. The location was fantastic, offering easy access to all the attractions the island has to offer. The amenities were top-notch, including a convenient parking garage, a luxurious bathroom, and a laundry facility. Convenient and like a home visit

The location of the apartment was very convenient for walking to downtown Funchal locations and also to the roads for traveling to other parts of Madeira. We had everything we needed provided. The on-site contact was wonderful in adapting to our ever changing arrival date and time. After she met us to provide keys and garage items we actually never even needed to seek her out since we had everything we needed.

Really good choice

The apartment is in a really good place, in the "zona velha" of Funchal just 5 minutes walking from the main street. It's big and clean. There is a balcony for drying clothes. The garage is a really good plus because it's not easy to find where to park your car. Paulo has been really kind to us and Corina (the housekeeper) is amazing. She lives upstairs and helped us with whatever we needed. We really suggest booking this apartment!

Schöne Wohnung in toller Lage!

Die Wohnung war grĂ¶ĂŸer als wir erwatet haben und war sehr sauber! Die Lage ist perfekt und man ist super schnell bei vielen verschiedenen Restaurants oder in der Innenstadt. Nur zu empfehlen! Was noch schön gewesen wĂ€re: ein Haarföhn. Wir hatten leider aufgrund Platzmangel im GepĂ€ck keinen dabei (ich denke so geht es einigen). Aber das ist nur ein Kleinigkeit :)

Funchal Flyaway

We found this to be a good place as a base to visit Funchal Madeira. We planned to use the well appointed kitchen (big fridge, Nespresso pod machine, microwave, electric kettle, gas cooker, full range of utensils provided)but there are some wonderful cheap Portuguese run eateries nearby so we didn’t bother. It is a one bedroom unit. Beds were very comfortable. The area is very quiet at night. The bathroom was great, with great water pressure and adequate hot water. There were plenty of towels and extra bedding available if needed. The washing machine was essential for us and was very good. The unit is well located close to everything. Corina was upstairs for any help required. It was a great place to explore the island from.

I have always had strong roots with Madeira as my family, on my mother's side originate there. After visiting twice and fallen in love with such a beautiful island, I decided to purchase a nice, well located apartment I could visit sometimes to get away from the British weather.
