Stairs lead up to the first floor with master double bedroom, shower room and a small twin bedroom. Stairs continue up to a second living room/double bedroom. Large Sofa and a fold down wall bed. Large doors leading out to an open roof terrace. Perfect for meals outside or a glass of rose in the evening sun. Relaxing after work in Vabonne

Excellent for 3 adult professionals working at Paris Tech Sophia Antipolis. Perfect location and the terrace for evening glass of wine before dinner.

Very nice, but some minus points as well.

The reason not to give 5 points are: my partner who is 194cm tall couldn't stand straight in the floor level as he would hit the wooden beams in the room, the kitchen is big and nice, but if you do use it you will notice that basic utensils like a proper bread knife and lids for the pots are missing and there is no free space to place your food stuff and the tray is not robust enough to carry the plates etc. for two people to the roof terrace, there are way to many knick-knacks all over the place many of it being photos of the owner and her family, in one night with heavy rain we woke up as there was a leak from the roof/roof terrace-we used pans to catch the water and moved to the other bedroom out of the main bedroom. The old village of Valbonne is picturesque on the one hand but it is really focused on tourists as well, I.e. not "real", it can be hard to find a free parking space. There is not only the roof terrace but also a small table for two in front of the house which is nice if you don't mind people coming around your way. The bathroom is modern and there were plenty bath towels. The beds are comfortable and sleep well. Valbonne is a good location to reach Grasse, Antibes and other spots at the Cote.

The kitchen has a head height of 2 metres 3cm, with 2 ancient beams (where some people have to duck a little) the work surfaces have over 2 metres of head room, so this should not be a problem. The kitchen is open plan to the lower sitting room, where there is well over 2 metres of head room. We now have a new tray and the missing bread knife has been replaced....The roof terrace is a wonderful space to sit out on and dine or have a glass of wine. Guests thoroughly enjoy sitting at the little table outside the house, too, as the pedestrian road is very quiet and allows guests to be really part of village life.... Valbonne is a year round village, with permanent residents, school, restaurants, theatre/cinema, shops and galleries.Because of it's enormous charm,it is, of course, a very popular village for visitors. Rest assured it is a real place! I live here, in the village and have dozens of friends who also live here full time. There are 3 car parks in Valbonne, all free, with an enormous overflow area for parking, next to the Theatre, for up to an extra 400 cars... so parking is normally fine. The Friday morning market is renowned and very busy, so perhaps a good idea not to move your car on a Friday morning! Instead, wander round the wonderful stalls of local produce, clothes and artisan items and then have a glass of wine in the Square, people watch and relax......

WE DIDNT STAY 10MINS !! BROKEN MIRROR ON ENTRY , NOT CLEAN AND CERTAINLY NOT ACCEPTABLE .

WE PAID FOR A LOCAL HOTEL AND SWALLOWED COSTS IT WAS THAT BAD. LOCATION GOOD , COMMUNICATION GOOD , BUT IT WAS DANGEROUS AND DIRTY

All other reviews for cleaning at 5 stars - infact on our main site 174 x 5 star reviews....so puzzled at your strange evaluation of my house. Lovely townhouse in Valbonne

We loved our stay at this townhouse in Valbonne. It was a great base to explore Valbonne and also a large number of other sites within a short drive. The townhouse was clean, and matched the listing. We really enjoyed the rooftop deck and the kids loved the spiral staircase. Communication with the host was easy and efficient. Parking is no issue as there is a free parking lot within ~100m and a much larger parking lot on the other side of the town (~5min walk). We really enjoyed exploring the local shops and restaurants. Valbonne is beautiful!

A month at no 3

A lovely old town house near the centre of Valbonne. Excellent location, super roof terrace and we enjoyed mixing on the street with our french neighbours. We were concerned about parking but this was not a problem due to the excellent free car parks. Valbonne is an excellent centre only 30 mins from the beach at Cannes and within a few of of several lovely areas for walking including walks along the delightful river Brague. Valbonne has numerous excellent restaurants and has a very vibrant atmosphere. We can’t wait to revisit the area.

herrliches Haus inmitten eines autentischen Dorfes

Als Familie mit 4 Kindern haben wir eine wunderschöne Woche in diesem außerordentlich hübschen, edlen Haus im Zentrum von Valbonne verbracht. Die Fotos entsprechen der Realität, das Haus ist sehr sauber und wir wurden sogar mit einem großen Strauß frischer Lilien in der Küche empfangen. Alles ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und funktioniert perfekt. Auch der Kontakt mit Zara war unkompliziert, ebenso die Ankunft und Abreise. Wie schon erwähnt ist die Dachterrasse ein kleines Juwel, dort sitzt man wunderschön mit Blick auf die umliegenden Dächer. Valbonne ist im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Dörfern noch ein relativ normales Dorf, das nicht komplett dem Tourismus geopfert wurde, sehr gerne haben wir vor dem Haus auf der Straße gesessen und dort unseren Michkaffee getrunken. Die Lage ist sehr gut, um die zahlreichen Attraktionen der Umgebung zu erkunden. Wir kommen jederzeit sehr gerne wieder.

Translation into English of review submitted: "beautiful house in the middle of an authentic village As a family with 4 children we spent a wonderful week in this extraordinarily beautiful, noble house in the center of Valbonne. The photos correspond to reality, the house is very clean and we were even welcomed in the kitchen with a big bouquet of fresh lilies. Everything is very lovingly decorated and works perfectly. Even the contact with Zillah (Zara) was uncomplicated, as well as the arrival and departure. As already mentioned, the roof terrace is a little gem, there you sit beautifully overlooking the surrounding rooftops. Valbonne is in contrast to many other villages still a relatively normal village, which was not completely sacrificed to tourism, we were very happy to have sat in front of the house on the street and drank our Michkaffee. Beautiful home, in fantastic location in Valbonne!

A beautiful home, stylish, clean, spacious and comfortable; it's conveniently located in the charming village of Valbonne! The kitchen is tastefully done and fully equipped with a bar to sit at and enjoy your morning coffee! We dined often on the rooftop terrace; such a treat🍷! We appreciated the spacious living areas and large master bedroom. Our 14 yr.old enjoyed all the TV's provided👌We loved the location, down a quiet street amongst the locals, but only a 2 minute walk to the main square where all the action is...We took advantage of the village conveniences; fresh bread, gelato, restaurants(many) and the Friday market! Thank you Zillah For sharing a special place that we would highly recommend! Easy booking and great customer service.

Absolutely Perfect!

This is a beautiful home in a lovely spot. Comfortable, stylish interior and with everything you could possibly need - a true 'home from home'. The roof terrace was an absolute bonus and we spent many an hour here with a chilled glass of wine! The house is tucked away in a quiet street, but only a short walk from many good restaurants in charming Valbonne. We had a fabulous holiday here and will definitely return. Thank you for sharing this lovely place with us.

Amazing holiday and amazing house

This house is wonderful. Valbonne is the perfect place for couples and families alike. We took our 3 children and had a fabulous time. The house is clean and tidy and beautifully decorated. The owner was polite and helpful. It would be nice if there were some local information available in the house but the tourist office is only a short walk away so we got it all there! The stairs would be unsuitable for very small children (toddlers) simply because there is a large drop on one side. Our youngest was 3 and a half and he amnaged perfectly well. I would highly recomend this house and area. Make sure you check out the Valbonne market on a Friday. Walk out the house and turn left, you can't miss it!

Cette maison est magnifique. Valbonne est l'endroit idéal pour les couples et les familles. Nous avons pris nos 3 enfants et a eu un temps fabuleux. La maison est propre et bien rangé et joliment décorées. Le propriétaire était poli et serviable. Ce serait bien s'il y avait une information locale disponible dans la maison, mais l'office du tourisme se trouve à seulement quelques minutes à pied de sorte que nous avons eu tout y est! Les escaliers ne conviendrait pas pour les très jeunes enfants (petits) tout simplement parce qu'il ya une forte baisse sur un côté. Notre plus jeune était de 3 ans et demi et il amnaged parfaitement. Je recommande vivement cette maison et de la zone. Assurez-vous de consulter le marché Valbonne le vendredi. Sortez de la maison et tournez à gauche, vous ne pouvez pas le manquer! Recommandé pour: Âge 55 +, Tourisme, Familles avec adolescents, Familles avec de jeunes enfants, Escapade romantique

Charming Property Ideally Located

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this recently renovated townhouse. The property was very comfortable and it's location was truly what we expected from a rustic French perspective with bags of old world charm. We will certainly return.

I grew up in England in Surrey, then moved to France with my 3 children, 14 years ago. We currently live in Opio - just 4km from Valbonne. I am a teacher at an international school in Sophia Antipolis and also work for and English Theatre company, performing on the Cote d'Azur.

Why they chose this property

Village houses must be in a perfect position, not on a very noisy square , but be in the heart of the village. This is the case with my house! Roof terraces or outside space are rare in the village . We have a lovely roof terrace and also a fireplace for the winter - these are the reasons that make this house so special.

What makes this property unique

Roof terrace, wonderful street, just a couple of steps from the square, original features and beams, mixed with up to the minute mod cons.
