About the host
Hosted by Edward Harland
I live and work on our farm here in France, where we grow organic vegetables. We moved here in 2002 to work on a small farm, and then decided to stay and create something of our own. My wife, myself and our two teenagers have all been working to restore and develop this fantastic place into a comfortable and peaceful family home.
Why they chose this property
The property was an old vineyard, which had been left derelict for many years. It has plenty of land and space , with fantastic views all around , which is what enticed me to buy the place and restore the existing bastide...a monumental task which has really become something beautiful and satisfying. We love the area with its rugged terrain and rock formations. It also offers the conveniences of the nearby village and shopping areas, with great access to the beaches and motorway, which pleases my wife!
What makes this property unique
You will enjoy the rural beauty of the farm land, which gives the impression of being very remote. There are many attractions for nature lovers, ramblers and sportsmen, as well as entertainment at the nearby lake for the kids. The beautiful Argens river runs alongside part of the property, offering wonderful bird life and a tranquil canoe ride in the evening.
A great review I want to include, which says it all: Hello Edward, we are so sorry we haven't written a review yet. Now, according to the system, the deadline has expired. Is there any way to write something?
That would be our text: We spent a wonderful week in this idyllic place. The house is tastefully and lovingly furnished, with great attention to detail. Everything was wonderfully coordinated and you immediately feel at home when you enter the house. The garden is quiet and well-kept with lots of cozy places to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The place is a bit hidden, a breal hideaway, but you can still get everything you need (restaurants and shops) in a couple of minutes by car. We would love to come back and can recommend the accommodation without exception.
