The sitting room is large, comfortable & sunny, furnished with a beautiful Italian sofa, leather armchair and a ‘Noguchi coffee table. This is complimented by a walnut floor, designer lighting and an original restored Victorian warehouse brick wall. The dining area has a walnut wood dining table and four ‘Eames' chairs. This leads into the white modern, kitchen with white stone worktops. You will find the kitchen is fully equipped and includes an integrated dishwasher, washing machine / dryer, microwave, fridge and a Nespresso coffee machine but you will need to bring your own (original) pods if you’re big coffee drinkers!
The bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed (often mentioned in reviews!). There is a large modern Italian wardrobe with drawers & plenty of hanging space. The design is completed with a stylish dressing and bedside tables. From this room double doors with a french balcony offer great views of the iconic ‘Shard' building.
The new bathroom has a modern white suite including a large walk in shower with both overhead rainfall and wall mounted shower heads. There is a large heated towel rail and backlit mirror. We provide fresh white towels, luxury shower gel, shampoo / conditioner and liquid hand soap.
Here's some recent guest reviews from another website... Absolutely beautiful apartment in a perfect location, 4 min walk to a major tube station whilst still being able to feel tucked away out of the rush of everyday London. Jacqui was an excellent host with lots of communication prior to and during the stay, offering advise on places to visit/restaurants to eat at. Already planning a trip back here for next year! George.
The flat manages to be both around the corner from a great food market, close to transport and a short stroll to the Underground. Yet it is quiet and tranquil. It is perfectly clean, well appointed and quite lovely. I can't imagine it could have been better. The experience was faultless. Thank you. Stephen.
Jacqui's apartment is perfect. Need I say more? Everything from the location to the luxurious furnishings, to the pampering bath gels, to the quiet at night, to the view of the Shard, to its proximity to Borough Market and the Tube. Everything. A great apartment from which to enjoy London. Thank you Jacqui! Shira.
The Neighbourhood... You will be staying in the best & one of the oldest areas of central London for interesting things to do. A visit to The Shard is a must, the view from the top is spectacular and their restaurants and cocktail bars are fabulous! The New Tate Modern is just down the road, the River Thames with its amazing views and river walk is minutes away and access to Covent Garden and Oxford Street is easy. The Boot & Flogger Wine Bar is downstairs and can be accessed through the Courtyard and from the road. It has great food and is an atmospheric, traditional city wine bar. It closes at 11 and has a quiet clientele. There are hundreds of restaurants on your door step including Brindisa (delicious Tapas), The Wright Brothers (famous for its' Seafood), Elliott's (a quirky but delicious menu) all in Borough Market, just minutes away. By the River near Tower Bridge is the famous Pont de la Tour & The Chop House plus several lovely restaurants - the list in endless! We recommend searching for a complete list of choices & reviews in Trip Advisor or Time Out restaurant guide on-line.
Access to the apartment -Please read before booking... Normal check-in time is from 4pm, if the flat is available we are happy to accommodate an early check-in. We can receive guests between 8.30am - 10.30pm, if you need to arrive outside of this time period please enquire if we can meet you before you book.
You access the property using a fob key through big, secure, double external doors leading into a pretty cobbled courtyard. The same fob accesses another door on the left, which takes you up two flights of stairs to our apartment. There isn't a lift, but the stairs are manageable.
Getting around.... London Bridge tube station is a couple of minutes walk away. Buses & Taxis run regularly along Southwark Street around the corner from the apartment. Waterloo Station for British Rail is a 15 minute walk away, London Bridge British rail is 5 minutes walk and the river boats that run along the Thames are nearby.
Here's some transport options from Heathrow that may help...

The location is great! It’s close to rail services and within walking distance of museums, Borough Market and restaurants. The hosts were very responsive to issues with the flat. There was some noise from the bar below and the trains, however it wasn’t noisy late at night. The Boot and Flogger on the first floor is a brilliant place to eat and drink.

I'm so glad you enjoyed everything about the flat and we have a brand new dishwasher!!
What a great apartment, very clean, and lovely furniture - felt really comfy and was lovely to come back to after a busy day in the city. Location is brilliant, 5 mins walk to Borough Market and so many restaurants on the doorstep. Easy walking distance to the underground and supermarkets. Key collection and drop-off straight forward. Would definitely recommend this little oasis of calm in the middle of all the hustle and bustle.C & D BromwichMarch 2026

The place was perfect for my husband and I. It is minutes away from the Borough Market and conveniently located close to a tube station which made getting everywhere easy. We would stay there again.

I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again sometime.
We so enjoyed this flat, great decor - so nice to be right near the Borough Market.
Really interesting history in the area, and easy access to metro station.
Enjoyed that we had a washer/dryer for a longer stay and nice to have a kitchen with enough to cook up a little something.

Lovely flat and great location
We could walk everywhere and this is a lively neighborhood with lots of bars cafes and restaurants
Beautiful hidden gem near London Bridge tube and Borough Market. Host was wonderfully helpful, including making lunch reservation for us at downstairs wine bar before the cleaners were finished preparing our stay.

About the host
Hosted by Jacqui Elliott
I grew up in both the UK and Sydney, Australia. I married my husband Paul in '93 and we have 2 daughters. We live in the Kent countryside in a Regency house with our wonderful black Labrador and 2 cats! We like to renovate properties and I love interior design and have my own company. I hope you enjoy our apartment and find it very comfortable and relaxing whilst you’re here.
Why they chose this property
The central location is perfect to discover London and all it’s beautiful attractions. Our building is a converted Victorian warehouse and has some lovely features, which we managed to highlight whilst refurbishing. The river is nearby with ferry’s and tour boats to take you along to some of the most iconic sites in the world. It’s a particularly lovely place to be in the summer. This is one of the oldest spots in London where you can enjoy this lively atmosphere but Get peace and quiet just around the corner on our street.
What makes this property unique
The view from our windows of The Shard is amazing, it's so close! It's a minute or two's walk to the fabulous Borough Market, the largest food market in the UK. Plus this area is the oldest area of London, full of history...it's like walking around in a Charles Dickens novel.
