The sitting room is large, comfortable & sunny, furnished with a beautiful Italian sofa, leather armchair and a ‘Noguchi coffee table. This is complimented by a walnut floor, designer lighting and an original restored Victorian warehouse brick wall.
The dining area has a walnut wood dining table and four ‘Eames' chairs.
This leads into the white modern, kitchen with white stone worktops. You will find the kitchen is fully equipped and includes an integrated dishwasher, washing machine / dryer, microwave, fridge and a Nespresso coffee machine but you will need to bring your own (original) pods if you’re big coffee drinkers!
The bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed (often mentioned in reviews!). There is a large modern Italian wardrobe with drawers & plenty of hanging space. The design is completed with a stylish dressing and bedside tables. From this room double doors with a french balcony offer great views of the iconic ‘Shard' building.
The new bathroom has a modern white suite including a large walk in shower with both overhead rainfall and wall mounted shower heads. There is a large heated towel rail and backlit mirror. We provide fresh white towels, luxury shower gel, shampoo / conditioner and liquid hand soap.
Here's some recent guest reviews from another website...
Absolutely beautiful apartment in a perfect location, 4 min walk to a major tube station whilst still being able to feel tucked away out of the rush of everyday London. Jacqui was an excellent host with lots of communication prior to and during the stay, offering advise on places to visit/restaurants to eat at. Already planning a trip back here for next year! George.
The flat manages to be both around the corner from a great food market, close to transport and a short stroll to the Underground. Yet it is quiet and tranquil.
It is perfectly clean, well appointed and quite lovely. I can't imagine it could have been better. The experience was faultless. Thank you. Stephen.
Jacqui's apartment is perfect. Need I say more? Everything from the location to the luxurious furnishings, to the pampering bath gels, to the quiet at night, to the view of the Shard, to its proximity to Borough Market and the Tube. Everything. A great apartment from which to enjoy London. Thank you Jacqui! Shira.
The Neighbourhood...
You will be staying in the best & one of the oldest areas of central London for interesting things to do. A visit to The Shard is a must, the view from the top is spectacular and their restaurants and cocktail bars are fabulous! The New Tate Modern is just down the road, the River Thames with its amazing views and river walk is minutes away and access to Covent Garden and Oxford Street is easy.
The Boot & Flogger Wine Bar is downstairs and can be accessed through the Courtyard and from the road. It has great food and is an atmospheric, traditional city wine bar. It closes at 11 and has a quiet clientele.
There are hundreds of restaurants on your door step including Brindisa (delicious Tapas), The Wright Brothers (famous for its' Seafood), Elliott's (a quirky but delicious menu) all in Borough Market, just minutes away. By the River near Tower Bridge is the famous Pont de la Tour & The Chop House plus several lovely restaurants - the list in endless! We recommend searching for a complete list of choices & reviews in Trip Advisor or Time Out restaurant guide on-line.
Access to the apartment -Please read before booking...
Normal check-in time is from 4pm, if the flat is available we are happy to accommodate an early check-in. We can receive guests between 8.30am - 10.30pm, if you need to arrive outside of this time period please enquire if we can meet you before you book.
You access the property using a fob key through big, secure, double external doors leading into a pretty cobbled courtyard. The same fob accesses another door on the left, which takes you up two flights of stairs to our apartment. There isn't a lift, but the stairs are manageable.
Getting around....
London Bridge tube station is a couple of minutes walk away. Buses & Taxis run regularly along Southwark Street around the corner from the apartment. Waterloo Station for British Rail is a 15 minute walk away, London Bridge British rail is 5 minutes walk and the river boats that run along the Thames are nearby.
