Recently modernised villa with pool and great access to a quiet beach. This villa is one of eight unique villas that are situated on the beach front. It has plenty of sun loungers on the terraces, a new swimming pool with optional safety barriers and outside wicker seating/BBQ area. The facilities include a fully equipped and air-conditioned kitchen and air-conditioned bedrooms. Indoor and outdoor dining areas and a well equipped lounge with entertainment area.

Fabulous week spent at Hornblower Villa. Age ranges 8-53years. Villa very well equipped including games which the kids all enjoyed playing. Air con in bedrooms which a godsend and ensured decent sleeps. We've stayed in Santo Tomas many times but this certainly the best positioned villa. Was a joy sea swimming a few steps from the comfort of the villa. A few queries we had on arrival were swiftly responded to by the owner Alistair and the property manager, Miguel. A fabulous holiday, we hope we are lucky enough to return again.

First Stay In Hornblower!

Very well equipped, more like a home than a holiday let. The position is not so good now that the beach has apparently washed away, but the sea view is excellent. We would certainly go back again as the two of us were very comfortable. Miguel, the Villa manager is most helpful. Overall, probably the most pleasant Villa we have stayed in.

Fabulous beach villa.

A lovely villa, well equipped, clean and beautifully situated on the sandy beach.We enjoyed a relaxing week and spent a lot of the time in the pool or on the beach under the umbrellas that are available for daily hire along with kayaks or pedaloes. Varied food at the local beach restaurant, Es Brucs, well frequented by locals and good choice of nearby supermarkets and cafes--all very friendly. We have been spoilt for future villa holidays....thank you.

Fantastic experience

This is one of the finest properties in beautiful Sant Tomas, perfectly located with breathtaking sea views, especially at sunset. The villa lacks for nothing & with a fantastic pool is the perfect base for a superb holiday. The owner, Alistair, must be congratulated & thanked for this villa. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Great Villa, Great Location

This was an amazing villa right on the sea front. The aircon in the bedrooms was a welcome relief from the heat. I wish the living room also had aircon as it was uncomfortably hot, however the large outside space and pool was where we spent most of our time (bring mosquito repellent for the evenings). The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. There are also a number of restaurants within walking distance and right on the beach. I would have no issues recommending this villa.

Wonderful

We had a lovely week at Hornblower with 3 teenage children. My daughter timed it from her bedroom to being in the sea...40 seconds! The villa was clean and welcoming....I don't do cooking on holiday but the kitchen appeared to be well equipped. The decor was very well done and clearly a lot of thought had gone into it. We really appreciated the cushions on the sun loungers and dining chairs. My only slight criticism is we could have done with some hand towels in the bathrooms. Sant Tomas seemed quite....but we liked that...no building sites near and it all seemed finished and kept clean...we had a car and ate out each evening....we have visited Menorca 5 times now and this was by far our most relaxing visit. The local shop was a few minutes walk. The information in the pack was excellent. If you are with small children there are several levels and steps outside in the pool/sun bathing area which would need a bit of supervision. We would and have recommended the villa to friends and hope to return soon.

Nice villa in good location

We chose this house because it was so close to the beach. It isn't directly on the sandy part but it is only a few minutes walk. The house itself felt a little dated but there was enough room for the 7 of us and it was very clean. The aircon in the bedrooms was very good and they were all nice and cool. However the rest of the house got very hot on the hottest days. The pool was lovely and a nice temperature with a fabulous outlook. I'm not sure I would be relaxed taking a toddler with the very different up and down levels of the patio. The seating area makes an excellent evening bbq place where we saw some great sunsets. The hotel next door does get a bit noisy, especially on Saturday evenings and Sundays but the rest of the time it is pretty quiet. Santo Thomas is very small and there is not a huge choice of restaurants, but we found we didn't have far to drive to find more. The few shops are very touristy but we were not there to shop. Having said that it is very close to the Mascaro shoe outlet factory which is excellent.

Splendid Sunshine Stay

It's often too good to be true when a holiday accommodation is described as just a stone's throw from the beach. But in this case it really is. Litrerally open the garden gate, cross a footpath and navigate a small flight of steps and you are on a wonderful beach with warm, crystal clear, shallow sea. Absolutely ideal for kids and adults alike. The Villa itself is generously appointed and is lacking nothing. There are plenty of Bathrooms so getting ready to go out isn't a problem. The Kitchen is fully equipped and even has a filtered cold water tap which saves on buying as much bottled water. The sunken Lounge is a nice feature although maybe not 100% child friendly. It does present an excellent viewing area with a large TV and a good selection of English channels. The wifi coverage was brilliant and we could even pick it up in the seating area at the foot of the garden.. The swimming pool is pleasant size and kept our kids entertained for many hours. The removable pool guards are also a reassuring feature. There are several areas to locate outside, whether it be under the shaded awning; where we tended to eat or lying in the full sun on a sunbed or sat on the particularly comfy rattan furniture. There are several places to eat, but we found Es Pins to be our favourite. If you turn left after leaving the garden gate and walk along the footpath it is the last restaurant. Not too far to walk but long enough to walk off the fabulous fresh food. If you are looking for a quiet, friendly and relaxing location there is no better place than this.

Great Villa with a beautiful sea views.

We were in 8 persons. Villa is spacious and comfortable. The outside space is perfect for family with children. Swimming pool does a great job. The sand beach is 2 min walk form the villa, just in front of the villa there is a pebble beach. The views and the sound of sea is fabolous. We spent a great time here. We got a wines and bread as a start gift from the owner, it was really nice. The maintenance person was very helpful. Thank You!

Villa Hornblower is outstanding and by far the best villa we have stayed in. The villa has everything you could wish for and being a stone’s throw from the beach is ideal for families. Santo Tomas is wonderful and we have stayed on numerous occasions.

Fabulous villa and location

Fabulous villa in a very picturesque location. 4 a/c bedrooms, 3 of which are en-suite and 1 with a bathroom next door. Everything you might need was provided. Kids loved the pool which was exceptionally clean and very warm as we caught the tail end of the heat wave in Southern Europe. Villa enjoys direct access to the beach which is rocky, with sand about 50m along from the villa gate where pedalos, paddle boards and kayaks were available to rent. Owner very helpful and provided lots of info about the villa and the local area which helped us plan our week. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Perfect Villa Holiday

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at this villa. We stayed as 2 families of four and the villa itself was superbly equipped. The beach front location is perfect and the restaurants of Santo Tomas are an easy stroll along the promenade. Being able to walk out of the and go for a dip in the sea really was something special. The owner Alistair was very responsive and we would have no hesitancy in recommending the villa to others and we have high standards, We very much hope to return again.

Beautiful, comfortable villa with sea view

This is a return visit to this lovely villa so that speaks for itself! Beautifully equipped villa with everything you could possibly need supplied. Air conditioning in all the bedrooms, clean throughout with ample space. The pool is nice and private and spotless, being attended to regularly throughout the stay. We took a lovely walk along the promenade every morning for coffee and every evening to one of the lovely restaurants. We took a walk to Son Bou this year which was great and had lovely meal when we got there but be warned it is quite a trek with no facilities on route! Overall if you are after a relaxing, beachside family holiday in a well equipped villa, this is for you. Great wifi too to please the teenages! :)

Great villa in wonderful location!

We were travelling as a four generation family from ages 2-79 and every single one of us were gutted to leave the villa! Hornblower is perfect for families, being right on the beach is great and the pool was warm from the sun and our 5 year old literally played in it all day. Rooms are all large, clean and well equipped. Alastair has thought of everything and Miguel was around most days to check the pool and everything else was fine. Es Pins is by far the best restaurant in our opinion and well worth the 10 min stroll along the beach walk. We all loved Hornblower and hope to be back next year!

Absolutely Fabulous!

Hornblower was all we hoped it to be an more. Travelled with family ages ranging from 22 to 83. The property was extremely well equipped with attention to detail and fabulous views. The villa was spotlessly clean on arrival as was the pool. Location brilliant within easy walking distance of a selection of bars and restaurants. The owner was extremely helpful. We hope to visit again - would have loved to have stayed for much longer than a week. We have already recommended Hornblower to our friends.

As my son said"a taste of paradise"

We first stayed in Santo Tomas 34 years ago with two small children. We came back and stayed in a hotel for an anniversary. We came back again with family and grandchildren and stayed in two villas ,two years on the run. Then this year we stayed in Hornblower. A villa virtually on the beach, a pool warmed by the sun all day, a lovely interior with all you require, shade when needed, restaurants in an easy stroll, paradise indeed. The owner was easily contactable and answered all questions. As my grandson said on landing at Gatwick "can we go back tomorrow Grandma".? A sentiment held by us all! Thanks, Alistair

Location Location Location

We stayed at Hornblower House with another family of four this August. The villa was very well equipped with a fabulous Weber barbecue making self-catering a doddle. The villa itself is a great size for two families and well laid out. The pool was a decent size and we were a stone's throw from a clean, sandy beach with warm, crystal clear water - shallow enough for the children to paddle and swim safely. The seafront promenade running from one end of Santo Tomas to the other was a particular delight - especially at night when it was illuminated. Overall, the location was perfect for an easy relaxed holiday with kids.

This family owned holiday home over the last year has been expanded to include a fourth bedroom and a private swimming pool. Also the villa has been modernised throughout and 2013 is the launch year of the property to the rental market. The project has been managed by family members, Alistair and Nikie, and they manage the rental side of the property.

Nicki is a designer and therefore has had the major influence on the recent modernisation, where Alistair is an accountant so gets the less fun financial aspects.

The property has been in the family since 1977 as a holiday home. During this time the family has made many local friends.
