Very beautiful

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The area is so beautiful and the home was perfect for our family. It is very well equipped and was walking distance to restaurants. The host was very helpful and we had a wonderful stay.

Beautiful apartment, walking distance to beginners‘ slope, ski bus station literally across the street (2 min to Hochmaisbahn, 6 min to Hintermoos, 11 min to Abergbahn, 14 to Maria Alm Center). Everything you would ask for in a kitchen is there, 2 bedrooms with a bathroom each. Great place for two couples or a family with two kids!

Top Apartment in romantic and peaceful Hinterthal

Well equipped nice and spacy apartment with beautiful views. You can reach the Hochmais Ski Lift on foot via the Fasching Lift, i.e. no car or skibus needed!

Spacious and clean

The appartment is situated in the town center with easy access to the Fasching piste. There is a large garage where you can park your car. The appartment has all the facilities you need for a nice stay at Hinterthal. Just be sure to take your own coffeemachine, this was the only thing missing.

Spacious and fully equipped appartment

Really nice appartment with ski locker and garage. Right behind the appartment is a small (blue) ski slope, not attached to the rest of the skiing area. The Hochmaisbahn is within walking distance. It only has a red and black ski slope, so for beginners it is important to know that you can not ski back to Hinterthal on a blue Looe

Nice apt. In a lovely village

Wonderful hosts, extremely clean and spacious apartment in a beautiful Austrian village. Very responsive to requests and extremely helpful. Beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped. Very nice patio outdoors with an umbrella where you can sit and relax. Only drawback was one toilet for the two bedrooms. Still, would highly recommend renting the property as it met every other expectation.

Loved Hinterthal, best village to stay

We throughly enjoyed Hinterthal. Celebrating a 61st birthday we enjoyed the peace and quiet of this charming village. Being small everything is within walking distance - trails, restaurants and wonderfully friendly people. Note grocery stores are a short distance away in Marie Alm. Check in was easy and the apartment was spacious. However, online photos were not truly representational. We arrived to find the couches and coffee table protectively covered, no patio furniture and an internet service that quit working after our first day. The designated property manager responded quickly but was unable to restore the service, which greatly inconvenienced one in our party. That being said we recommend the location.

We are glad you liked Hinterthal so much. The reason the coffee table and couches have protective covers is because not every guest respects our expensive furniture as they should.We also have many guests with children so accidents can happen. Stains and hot pan marks are not easily removed. This is our second home and we do not want our furniture ruined, you should understand this as one of your party destroyed one of our chairs through misuse. There is a table on the Patio and 4 chairs in the storeroom that are there for all to use but are stored away over winter. We all know how temperamental the Internet can be from time to time, so this was unfortunate.

Prachtig compleet appartement op een top lokatie

Appartement is van alle gemakken voorzien. De eigenaar en Margit zijn goed bereikbaar en reageren snel en adequaat. Genoten van de centrale ligging op loopafstand van de Hochmais. Niet alleen voor de winter een prachtige uitvalsbasis!!

Mooi, ruim vakantiehuis met parkeerplaats op steenworp afstand van de skilift

Prachtig huis met ruime kamers, heerlijke douche en grote keuken in een mooie omgeving. Vooraf prettig en behulpzaam contact gehad met de verhuurder. Ook fijn dat je de auto in de parkeergarage kunt stallen. En je hebt de beschikking over een verwarmde ski locker. Enige nadeel is wellicht dat het dorp geen supermarkt en bakker heeft. Voor de boodschappen moet je naar Maria Alm. Je kunt wel verse broodjes bestellen aan de bar aan de overkant. Deze zijn lekker, maar wel erg duur (1.10 voor ee kaiserbroodje!).

We first skied in Austria in 2002 and fell in love with the beautiful and peaceful Austrian mountains and villages.It is so different to the hectic South East of UK where we live. We bought our apartment in 2005 and also visit Hinterthal during the summer when walking and hiking in the mountains is just fantastic.The mountain huts are just as welcoming out of the ski season.

Why they chose this property

Hinterthal is a small friendly village with stunning scenery. Recently updated lift systems.
Sport shops and ski hire on the doorstep. Just one hours drive from Salzburg Airport.
Quiet location Hinterthal is the perfect place to learn skiing; there is a fantastic nursery slope in the middle of the village with a mountain hut restaurant and a large sunny terrace. Progressing from here there is a great blue and red slope also in the middle of the village ideal for that next step. For better skiers there are 150km of well groomed wide slopes, plus lots of tree skiing and off piste for experts! There are also over 30 mountain restaurants making that coffee stop never far away!. Plenty of restaurants in the village.
