About this property

Apt in lush gardens, large pool, steps from the sea, stroll to Campello beach

25 minutes drive north of Alicante airport is the fishing village of El Campello. Our apartment is on the very outskirts of this village -just past an ancient watchtower and an archaeological dig - in an established residential area with the sea in front and villas and mountains behind. It is a secure, gated community with a large shared pool and lovely gardens full of trees and flowers looked after by our gardener. The architecture is Moorish - white walls, red tiled roofs, and the apartments are designed so that we all have beautiful views onto the gardens, pool and to the sea, but do not overlook each other. The buildings are only 3 stories high and are long established. You can stroll in minutes to the centre of Campello or to the tram stop - you don't need a car, but we are away from the noise and bustle - a perfect location. But if you do come by car, we have secure gated parking.

The apartment is reached via stairs outside to the first floor. There is an open lounge/diner downstairs, that opens onto a terrace. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a terrace, and the bathroom. (There is a downstairs toilet).

We have air conditioning units in the bedrooms that have cold air for the summer and warm air for the cooler months. There are ceiling fans for those who do not like air conditioning. Downstairs for the winter months, there are radiators, and a fake wood burning stove in the fireplace, and we put out the rugs and go from cool to cosy - so whatever time of the year you stay, you will be comfortable.

Our stay at this apartment was 10 out of 10. Arrival & Departure was easy and simple with great direction from Wendy. The kitchen has everything you will need. The living room is comfortable with a spacious balcony that has pool & sea views. Both bedrooms have perfect aircon and the beds were really comfortable. The gated community is quiet and friendly with lovely gardens and a brilliant pool. Only 10/15 min stroll to Campello promenade. Thankyou Wendy for a lovely holiday at your beautiful apartment, we plan to be back in the future.

Just back from an amazing stay in Wendys @ El Campello. Everything from the start of our booking was made so easy with Wendy. Her communication and attentiveness goes above and beyond any of our previous experiences. The appartment is in the perfect location, just a short stroll to the beach, shops restaurants and tram line. The appartment itself is a beautiful quaint spanish style, spotlessly clean, well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen and for the beach. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. It had everything we needed as a family if 5 to have a very comfortable, easy stay. The pool and its surroundings are a little oasis if you wanted just a quiet hour or two. We look forward to our return trip and would have no reservations in highly recommending this place.

Excellent stay

We chose this apartment as our friends have similar one on the same complex and wanted to visit when the Moors and Christians fiesta was on . We were very pleased with the 10 days that we spent here and found the apartment well kept , clean and comfortable . We did sneak round to our friends after a busy day to watch some British Television now and again but also watched some of the DVDs provided Wendy was easy to contact and very reliable and we hope to return before too long.

Fabulous stay over the New Year

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here over the New Year. Wendy, the owner was very easy to contact and extremely helpful in organising our transfer from the airport to the apartment. The apartment was very well equipped throughout and the beds were particularly comfortable. The weather was lovely for the time of year and there were radiators downstairs in the apartment which created a really cosy room in the cooler evenings. The location is superb, very peaceful and an easy stroll to the centre of El Campello which has a wide variety of restaurants and shops. The tram stop, for trips North towards Benidorm and Denia or South towards Alicante, is only a five minute walk away. The trams were efficient and excellent value. Thank you so much Wendy. If we return to the area we would certainly love to stay here again.

Can’t wait to come back!

This is a wonderful place to stay! Quiet neighborhood, inside a gated community with a lovely pool and courtyard area. The home is pretty and comfortable - stocked with just about anything you could want including all beach gear, kitchen supplies, and extra bedding. There are books to read, DVD’s to watch - a real retreat. Wendy, our host, was exceptionally helpful and available. I’d also put in a good word for the location. It’s just a few minutes walk from a fantastic tram that can run you right over to the larger El Campello beach or take you into Alicante. We spent a little time in Alicante and were relieved to come back to the more mellow El Campello. There’s also a very small neighborhood beach just around the corner that’s especially good for watching the water at night, just a few minutes from home. We loved staying here and hope to come back in the future!

Lovely, quiet apartment in shaded gardens and warm pool

The apartment is 5 minutes walk from the tram station which is around 25 minutes from Alicante. The apartment was clean with spotless linen and towels. Added bonus is the beach towels and beach equipment. There is a small beach a few minutes walk from the apartment. El Campello beach is 15 minutes down the hill. Area was very quiet and gated complex lovely. The gardens were shady and not busy and the pool was lovely and warm. Getting to the supermarket was a 15 minute walk. The shopping trolley was a god send but it was hard work going back to the apartment up the hill in the heat! Overall relaxing family holiday with everything we needed

A sunshine retreat.

We have now made two visits to this lovely apartment and cannot wait to return. It is just a ten minute stroll to the lovely bay of El Campello hosting a traffic free promenade lined with restaurants and little shops full of Spanish charm. The apartment is set in really well tended gardens with a very clean pool, it is a quiet location yet close to amenities. Plenty of secure parking on site. A car is not necessary. The apartment is well equipped, clean and comfortable. The bedrooms are well furnished and are both of a good size. The kitchen is small but modern with all needs catered for. The lounge/dining area is of a good size and leads to a balcony overlooking the gardens and pool area, furnished with table and chairs. In summer there is no place better than sitting on this balcony watching the sun go down. For golfers like us there is a great course just ten minutes drive away. A lovely apartment in a superb location.

Very good.

The photographs, introduction and comments of previous reviews describe this apartment very well. Found everything very clean, comfortable lounge, well decorated, bright, good storage space. The living area is a good size and comfortable, with a television and good wi-fi connection. Two good sized bedrooms, the main bed was comfortable, bedding and towels very clean. There is a good selection of utensils in kitchen and also a cafetiere, not always found in rental apartments for some reason. All items used were in good condition and worked correctly. There are very quiet ceiling mounted fans excellent for warm evenings, we did not use the air conditioning. Access to the complex is easy, always found a convenient place to park the car. The excellent large communal pool was kept clean, water warm and never busy during our visit. The nearest beach is Playa de la Almadraba, a five minute walk, not busy, a mix of fine gravel and sand, clear water and safe for swimming, main beach in El Campello it is wide with clean fine sand. With a tram to Alicante and then on further, a car is not essential. El Campello provides good selection of amenities within walking distance, and a wide selection of bars, cafeterias, restaurants and shops. Thank you Wendy for a great stay. Other rental owners could take a few tips from here!

Fabulous apartment, fabulous location

My husband,myself and our two daughters aged 15 and 18 stayed here for 5 days in early May. The apartment is 25 mins from Alicante airport, and the owners arranged a pick up for us. The apartment is on a lovely spanish style complex with stunning sea views. The feel of the apartment is very homely, especially the bedroom furniture and bedding ( my very fussy eldest daughter said it was the nicest bed she's ever slept in as the bedding looked nice and clean!). It is on two levels and had two balconies. There were plenty of groceries in the cupboards including coffee, tea, milk and water. Presumably any left by previous occupants that is unopened and in date is left for the next occupants. The complex itself is lovely, with a really nice pool, it was quiet when we were there, but I think the season was just starting. The restaurant on the edge of the complex was really nice, and the food excellent. The complex is on the edge of the town, with a short stroll either along the beach past the harbour, or along the main road. The town was quiet and a lot of the bars and restaurants were closed, which we were a little suprised at, we presumed that the season would have started earlier. Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us, and perhaps the area is not suited to teenagers. However, the tram is fantastic, 20 mins and only €1.40 we were in Alicante, which was a lovely city, good architecture, good shopping and a lovely promenade. The tram also takes you to Benidorm in half an hour. All in all I would highly recommend the apartment and the area as there is so much to explore. Though we will be leaving the children at home next time.

Vacances de rêve

La résidence est très bien située (plages, commerces, restaurants, bar à tapas à proximité). L'appartement est très bien équipé et fonctionnel. Wendy, la propriétaire est à l'écoute et donne beaucoup d'informations très utiles. Elle est vraiment super !!! L'entretien de la piscine et des jardins est effectué tous les jours. Nous recommandons vivement cet appartement (vue superbe sur piscine, mer, montagnes). Tristes d'être parties et hâte d'y retourner. Nous y retournerons sans hésitation pour ns prochaines vacances.

Vacaciones perfectas

Del alojamiento sólo puedo decir cosas buenas por la limpieza, la amplitud, las terrazas, el jardín o la piscina. La verdad es que nos sentimos como en casa. Las instrucciones por parte de Wendy fueron muy detalladas lo que nos ayudó a disfrutar mucho de la estancia. También El Campello nos ha gustado mucho, con una playa de arena fina y algunas calas interesantes, con un paseo marítimo muy animado con muchas posibilidades de restauración, y con su puerto deportivo. Nos ha encantado.

Agradable estancia

Fab apartment close to local beaches with huge communal pool

Couldn’t really fault this property and i’ve done a lot of rentals. It was easy to access, very well-equipped (no trying to manage on just one pan or having to scrabble about for cooking utensils), clean, in a quiet but friendly complex and a short walk from the local beach in El Campello where there are restaurants and shops aplenty. Had a thoroughly relaxing stay and enjoyed both the pool and the sea. Owner friendly and on hand if any issues.

Beautiful spot

Really enjoyed my stay here with my husband and young kids. Wendy was very helpful and obliging and provided lots of information throughout our stay. The apartment was clean, cozy and inviting and had everything we needed. Having beach towels, beach toys and hats was a bonus and the large wheeled trolley for shopping was invaluable for the 10/15 minute walk to the beach/shop. We loved the terrace and balcony and the wonderful views from both bedrooms, the only thing missing was a table from the balcony upstairs. The tram was also very handy for trips up or down the coast, very inexpensive and only 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The complex itself was very quiet and peaceful and we really enjoyed the 2 pools which luckily had warmed up by the end of May. It would have been perfect if there was a shop or bar onsite but there is a restaurant at the entrance to the complex which looks to be re-opening after covid. El Campello is a beautiful place to stay with plenty of beaches, shops, cafes and restuarants to choose from without it being too crowded or busy and is also a good base to explore the region. Would highly recommend both this apartment and it's location, many thanks to Wendy for a wonderful stay.

Very nice appartment

The appartment is really nice and Wendy was always available to answer my questions at arrival time. The residence is beautiful and well located. Of course this was winter but I can imagine the fabulous swimming pool in summer.

In the seventies, as a graduate of Spanish, I came to live and work in Murcia town and then in Alicante town. I moved away in the late seventies but returned over the years to visit friends. Finally I had the opportunity to buy somewhere in this area that I love, and I scoured property with an old friend looking for somewhere that met my criteria:

1. Must have sea views
2. Must be easy to get around ( car not essential)
3. Must be very near the beach
4. Must be quiet ( a challenge in Spain!)
5. Must have good views from front AND back
6. Must have good size swimming pool for kids and for adults
7. Must be near shops/bars/restaurants
8. Must be predominantly Spanish (not feel Brits have taken over!)
9. Must not feel cold, empty, unwelcoming
10. Must NOT have views of concrete, multi-storey blocks

Success! - and bonus! a lovely garden.

Why they chose this property

El Campello is still predominantly a holiday place for Spaniards, and also a town where people live all year round.

It used to be a small fishing village and although it has grown, the port is still a working fishing port. If you snorkel off the rocks you will see fish everywhere, look out for the green wrasse. The weather is dry, sunny and warm most of the year.

El Campello beach is sandy and long with an uninterrupted promenade. This means that cafes and restaurants and shops line the beach and provide a social area for day and evening.

You can walk or cycle all along the beach and into the next and the next - kilometres of sandy safe beaches.

A modern tram runs from Alicante town to Denia along the coast stopping at villages along the way, making it easy and economical to get around and visit other areas.

What makes this property unique

The complex is well established with lovely garden and pool. It is just around the bay from the main beach in a residential area which means it is quiet, but only a short walk away from all amenities that you need.

There is a tiny beach, Cala Almadraba, just in front of the apartment. Campello's main beach is 10 mins leisurely walk via the marina.

This is our home from home, so we have most things you need for the beach, for everyday shopping, for leisure, for sightseeing, or just chilling.

The design of the bungalows is classic Moorish architecture with white walls and red tiled roofs. We have filled it with artefacts from Mexico and local Spanish artists.

When you wake in the morning you can lie in bed, see the sea, listen to the palm trees moving in the breeze.
