About this property
Spacious converted barn in North Norfolk with private hot tub & close to beaches
Chestnut Barn is a beautifully converted barn situated within 5 miles of the coast and close to the National Trust properties of Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and Sheringham Park. Bewilderwood and the Dinosaur Park are within 15 miles, as are The Norfolk Broads, and Norwich is 18 miles away.
The accommodation is very spacious and is excellent for families or groups of friends. The barn has an air source heat pump underfloor heating system throughout the ground floor and radiators on the first floor.
Aldborough village has a good pub which serves food (the Black Boys), shop/ Post Office and children's play area within a short walking distance. There are many other good pubs and restaurants in the area. There are a good range of supermarkets close by (approx. 15-20 minutes drive) and include Waitrose and Sainsburys at North Walsham, Tesco in Aylsham and Morrisons in Cromer. These supermarkets also regularly deliver to Chestnut Barn.
There is a large open plan seating, dining and kitchen area. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric range cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. There is an extra American style fridge/freezer in the cart shed and a drinks fridge in the seating area.
The dining area has a large extendable table which can seat 12+.
Next to the living area there is a large entrance hall which provides useful storage and there is a separate shower room accessed from the entrance hall.
There are four large bedrooms (two upstairs and two downstairs).
Bedroom 1 and 2 are on the ground floor and have king size double beds with ensuites. Bedroom 1 ensuite has a bath and walk in shower. Bedroom 2 has a walk in shower.
Bedroom 3 and 4 are on the first floor and accessed via separate staircases either end of the barn. Bedroom 3 has a king size double bed and an ensuite shower room. Bedroom 4 has four single beds and a cosy corner with beanbags and a TV with built in DVD.
There are two cots (a wooden one and a travel cot) which can be made available to guests. We ask that guests provide their own linen for the cots.
There are two further fold out single beds which can be provided and can fit in any of the bedrooms (subject to separate agreement and an extra linen charge of £60 per stay).
There is a SMART TV with sound bar and DVD player in the open plan living area. There is a further TV with DVD in one of the downstairs ensuite bedrooms. There is an Alexa in the open plan dining/seating area for you to use and play music.
There is a large enclosed garden with private hot tub and table tennis in the cart shed.
To the west of the property there is a patio with seating for 10 people and to the east there is an additional seating area for the morning sun.
There is a further patio on the western side of the property in a secluded position with the private hot tub for up to 7 people and further seating. The hot tub is made available to guests subject to an additional charge (£125 for 2/3 night stay, £145 for 4/5 night stay and £165 for 7 night stay).
A charcoal BBQ is provided (with charcoal for guests to use).
There are also other outside games (incl. large Jenga & football goals) provided. There is a large built in sandpit in the garden with toys.
There is a large enclosed parking area for several cars.
Dogs are permitted (subject to agreement) at £30 per dog per stay.
Chestnut Barn is in a rural and peaceful location with lots of activities and places to visit nearby. It is a spectacular property and is in a great location to explore the North Norfolk coast.
Whether you are staying at Chestnut Barn with friends or family for a special occasion, a birthday or hen party, or for your annual holiday, we can help make it extra special. We are spoilt with the selection of treats and activities which are available locally and we can provide ideas and contacts to you or we can book these on your behalf. We would be pleased to discuss any requests you may have. Please contact to discuss further.
For small parties which only need to use one or two of the bedrooms there may be an opportunity for a lower rate in low season. Please contact us to discuss.

What makes this property unique
We are lucky enough to live in a lovely part of North Norfolk where there are plenty of market towns providing good shopping but we also have all the advantages a rural location offers. We are also within walking distance of a pub, children's play area and a shop with post office.
We are so close to lots of beautiful beaches which makes it a great place to come on holiday.
It is a fabulous place to stay.
