The Anchorage, in the heart of the South Hams is a real gem of a holiday home. Located minutes from the sandy Wonwell beach and a stone's throw from the infamous Dolphin Inn renowned for good food and ale, The Anchorage is a real must for holiday makers who fancy staying in a property that is full of character and charm. It is the perfect base from which to explore the beaches and walks within the popular South Hams, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Downstairs the Anchorage has a lovely light and airy living room with open fire and wooden floors; kitchen/diner that is fully equipped complete with Belfast sink and there is also a shower room with toilet. On the first floor there are 3 good size bedrooms sleeping 7 comfortably and a family bathroom. There are private gardens to the front and rear making this a truly delightful character cottage in which to spend a holiday. Parking is a 2 minute walk from The Anchorage along the Devon lane.

Welcoming and well-furnished family home

The house is beautifully and comfortably decorated, with everything we needed for our stay, including extras like board games and books. We had 5 adults and it was perfectly spacious enough for us, with room for more. The location was quiet and relaxing. We had a lovely time there.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting.

We spent a week at The Anchorage, and it was comfortable for all 5 of us. It was very clean, well equipped and the garden was a sun trap. The nearby beaches are great and as long as you have a car there are lots of places to visit. It was very peaceful and quiet, and I would stay there again.
