Unspoilt Island In The Heart Of The Ria Formosa with amazing view on the lagoon and totally surrounded by beaches and ocean. Sleeps 6 (3 Bedrooms). Large bathroom. Kitchen with cooking island and view on the lagoon. Enjoy the beautiful sunset! Armona island is the best place there is for little children, There are no cars and there is a beach right in front of the house.

Beautiful beach house with wonderful sunsets

Armona Island is a quirky traffic free island and the Beach House is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the wonderful outlook. The Beach House has everything you need for a chill out holiday. Ilse and her son Sven were charming and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely beautiful beach villa on Armona Island

We have just spent a week at Heidi’s gorgeous beachfront villa. The villa itself it such a high spec - with everything you could possibly need. The photos don’t actually do it justice! Stunning views and amazing beach walks with lots of opportunities to hop on the ferry to Olhao and the outlying islands. We all loved it, were so sad to leave but will definitely be back! Cant recommend it enough!

5 star, fantastic setting looking over the lagun

Wonderfully property, everything you need for a peaceful relaxing holiday. The sunsets are beautiful. Very quite part of the island close to the waters edge at high tide. Mini supermarket close by and nice little cafe bar. Recommend Carlos's Bar and Restaurant by the jetty. The owners were helpful and easy to communicate with. We were meet by a lovely lady Isle who showed us every we needed to know. Highly recommended.

It was just an amazing 16 days on Armona. The house was perfect, exactly as the pictures showed. Already thinking about returning. Everything you need is in the house. Watch beautiful sunsets every night while sitting on the deck.

We had the most brilliant week on Armona. The flat was simply stunning overlooking the water. It had all the gadgets and implements you could wish for. Comfortable beds and I gather the bathroom is being upgraded next year though it was fine. Slight trouble arriving so late as we had to take a water taxi. It was organised for us but we didn’t know. Else came to the flat and gave us a rundown of everything not that it was really necessary. A little folder may be useful with a few instructions. Absolutely no complaints at all. Thanks so much!

Excellent beach cottage with superb views and sunsets

We stayed here for 8 glorious days. Its our 2nd time to the island which is just idyllic and great for families with young children. The house was in a fantastic location just behind Cafe Convivo and the little sandy playground. But its the closeness to the beach and the wonderful views over the Ria Formosa and back out towards Olhao that really steal the show. The changing tide means its never the same for very long and we picked clams for our dinner when the tides were out and kayaked from lagoon to lake and back again when the tides were high. The house has all the comforts you need and was very well equipped. Living room/kitchen is light, airy and spacious and all three bedroom were more than adequate. Wifi a bonus if you need to stay in touch with the outside world, but trust me, it doesn't take long to forget about all that. Dieter and Heidi were very easy and pleasant to deal with and the wonderful Ilse is on hand, close by if you have any problems. Five Stars.

Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr geschmackvoll möbliert und praktisch ausgestattet. Großzügiger Wohnbereich, toller Blick aufs Wasser und Küste. Schöne Terasse direkt am Wasser. Auch bei schlechterem Wetter angenehm.

Très bel hébergement, propre, moderne et très bien équipé. La maison est claire, sans vis-à-vis. La terrasse donne directement sur la mer. Le contexte est un village charment sur une île. Ambiance accueillante et détendue. C'est une très bonne expérience.

Maison de rêve directement sur une petite baie. Jamais vu une location aussi bien équipée, tout y est même le superflu. Attention, la location est sur une île, c'est charmant, tranquille, mais bien se renseigner sur les horaires du ferry vs votre vol si vous êtes venu en avion. Selon la saison il y a plus ou moins de navettes. Si votre vol est tôt le matin ça risque de coincer avec le ferry, par contre il y a des bateaux taxis, mais ce n'est pas le même prix que le ferry. (2€ vs 40 plus bagages). Les proprios sont super sympa, on y retournera certainement. *******

Muy recomendable

Hemos pasado unos días perfectos en familia. La isla es preciosa y muy tranquila en esta época del año. Las puestas de sol son maravillosas e interminables. Íbamos con la idea de hacer alguna excursión a Olhao o a Faro en esos días pero al final no salimos de la isla hasta que se nos acabó la reserva. La casa es todavía mejor que en las fotos, muy cómoda y muy bien equipada (a la cocina no le falta ni un detalle). Dieter y Heidi son encantadores, nos trataron muy bien y estuvieron a nuestra disposición todo el tiempo. Vale mucho la pena pasar unos días en esta casa y desconectar de todo menos de lo que realmente importa.

Why they chose this property

We are Dieter and Heidi from Belgium. 18 years ago we discovered this island. It was love at first sight!! At first we just rented the house, but when we heard that it was for sale we decided to buy it immediately. The location is wonderful with great views and sights! When our kids were younger they loved going to Armona and played all around the island. They were building sandcastles in front of our house and were enjoying the small things that Armona has to offer. Now they are older but they still love the island especially having drinks on the beach at the bar or having friends over to party and enjoy the peace.
