About this property
Yosemite Hilltop Cabins, Sage Cabin,15 min to the Valley floor, Wifi
Thank you for selecting Yosemite Hilltop Cabins for your get-away! You will receive a pre-check-in email regarding your stay, if you can fill that out it would be much appreciated. As some details are required, other questions simply help with the housekeeping schedule.
NOTE – This listing is for the Sage Cabin. The listing and availability calendar for the Lupin Cabin is also on VRBO/HomeAway under property number 115073. Both cabins are on the same property, have the same floor plan, and are furnished almost identically.
Our cabins are very private. Even though the Sage and Lupin Cabins are located next to each other they are oriented to maintain maximum privacy. Each cabin has 17-foot-tall wood beam ceilings with ceiling fans and lots of windows to take advantage of the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
Each cabin has a master bedroom with a comfy king-size bed and down comforter. There is also a foldout sofa bed that is the size of a full mattress. The cabin has a full bath, full kitchen, and reading loft. Each cabin also has its own patio with a high quality Weber gas barbecue
When you arrive at your cabin there will be fresh linens on the bed and clean towels in the bathroom. There will be brand-name shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathroom. You will only need to bring food, clothes, and personal toiletry items.
Fantastic hiking and running trails with wildflowers, waterfalls, and wildlife can be accessed right from the cabins.
Unfortunately no pets or dogs are allowed. Yosemite is not very dog friendly. You won't be able to take your dog with you on hikes.
Each cabin has a TV/DVD player. The TV has no programming, DVD only. There is a small DVD library to pick from or you can bring your own movies. The kitchen has all the cookware and dinnerware that you will need to prepare and serve meals. The kitchen also has a microwave oven, toaster, blender, coffee grinder, and coffee maker. The cabins are heated in the winter by propane heaters that look like wood-burning stoves. Both cabins have evaporative coolers that work great to keep the cabins cool during the summer. Some cell phones work at the cabins. Verizon is the best. Each cabin has a land-line telephone for use during your stay. There is satellite internet provided by HughesNet. There is a cap on the amount of bandwidth that is available. PLEASE DO NOT STREAM MOVIES OR WATCH VIDEOS AS IT WILL IMPACT GUESTS THAT ARRIVE AFTER YOU.

This is a basic cabin in a fantastic location! Listing is 100% accurate, and I always appreciate that ; ) Easy access to the valley, so it's super convenient. Steve is very responsive and easy to get along with! We have Verizon mobile service and had access the whole time we were there. The bed is comfy and the heat and air worked great (we needed both). The little community of Foresta is very nice and has a nice waterfall to hike to. Pics are from our hike there. I'd stay here again!
The cabin was amazing, I highly recommend! Great proximity to the middle of the park and it was very comfortable. The final stretch to the cabin is a steep, uneven dirt road so you will be more comfortable if you have an SUV, especially one equipped with 4x4 if there’s any poor weather.
Great location with views. Quaint cabin, well-maintained. The property was clean & only 25 min from Yosemite Valley!! We’ll definitely have to stay here again on our next Yosemite adventure.
My sister and I had a wonderful stay in the cabin. It was easy access to Yosemite and the kitchen had everything we needed to make food in the evenings. Gorgeous location!
A lovely little cabin in Yosemite that is away from all the tourists who can be in abundance. The weather was great in late March when my wife and I went and overall I would recommend! The price is a little steep, but overall worth it in my opinion.
Sage cabin is the perfect place to stay when visiting Yosemite. It is very clean , comfortable and well stocked for cooking meals . The patio is lovely with grill and outdoor seating and the views of surrounding area are lovely . Steve was an excellent communicator both before and during our stay. He even checked in on us during an unexpected late spring snow. It is an easy 15 minute drive into the Yosemite valley and yet we really appreciated getting away from the crowds in the valley to relax in the evening. We hope to return to Yosemite and would absolutely stay here again. There is an adjacent sister cabin, but it still felt very private and like our own place.
Love the Sage Cabin wine glasses! Its such a peaceful little place...love to listen to nothing but wind through the pines!!!Thanks for our 2nd wonderful stay!!!
The cabin had everything we needed. The gas fireplace was very cosy. And the wifi got fixed in time for my meeting! The proximity to Yosemite Valley was a huge plus.
Property was clean with the appropriate amount of amenities (including cooking). Property was conveniently located inside Yosemite National Park. Steve (owner) was very responsive and was always available for questions, etc.
Beautiful cabin at the top of a hill in the middle of Yosemite. Easy access to all Yosemite destinations. Beautiful grounds. Excellent host, responds almost instantly to questions and anticipates potential issues and communicates proactively (eg detours outside the Park due to wildfires). Would stay again, his Moab, UT house is equally nice. .
Host was very responsive, cabin was great. Stayed cool at night during a heat wave, great location inside the park. Exactly what we needed for a fun time in Yosemite. Kids loved having movies to watch in the the evening.
The cabin is exactly what we wanted! A clean place to stay that was both comfortable and close to Yosemite Valley. (25 minutes) We were able to access the whole park for day hiking. Most areas for hikingwere with an hour or less. Steve, our host, was easy to get a hold of if you had any questions or concerns. Great cabin in Yosemite National Park!
I love Yosemite! That is why I built the cabins there. I love being able to share this great spot with others.
