About this property
Quiet Location,Sea views,10 Min walk to PortQuin Between Port Isaac and Polzeath
Scarrabine Farm and Farmhouse has been in our family for over 140 years. The annexe which was converted from the old pigs house on the West facing side of the Farm house looks directly out at Port Quin bay. There is a outside seating area that is a great sun trap enjoying all day sunshine. There is a short 10 min walk from the property down to Port Quin harbour or a longer 40 min walk on the footpath to Port Isaac. The annexe is designed to be a private space with its own access and cosy interior features to make it a cool place for an active break or equally a quiet romantic retreat for two persons. We have a Friday-Friday changeover in peak holiday seasons. Three night short breaks are available outside of these times. For more information and pricing check out our site by searhing Port Quin Farm Holidays.

Very well equipped and cosy conversion. Great sheltered outdoor area for evening sun. Large sitting room and an excellent kitchen galley. Netflix available and good internet connection. Bed large and comfortable.
We really loved this place and our hosts (and their lovely children) were very friendly and extremely helpful.
Port Quin is close by and a great place to swim/explore. We really hope to be back next year!
A good experience. Sam Williams, the host, has tried to give us the best supply to solve our needs. We came from Italy and stayed at Scarrabine Farm from 28th July to 4th August. Unfortunately the weather was not so good to appreciate the wonderful nature

A perfect getaway for our quiet Christmas escape.
The 2 level property was characterful, imaculate and cosy with a lovely lounge, well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. The farm location is remote and quiet with beautiful views to the sea and our host Sam was friendly and helpful.
It's a beatiful area of the Cornish Atlantic coast to explore by car and foot.
Highly recommended.

A very peaceful and tranquil setting with everything we needed.
The property was perfect for a couple, ample space and amenities. It was easy to get to by car and there were lots of lovely places to visit nearby, e.g. Padstow. My wife and I love the outdoors and we would definitely stay here again. Sam and Doon, the owners, were very welcoming and we hope Doon is keeping well as she will have now given birth to their second child (Congratulations!!). Bev & John Murphy

Delightful and peaceful place to stay.
"The Annexe" is a small but very cosy premises attached to the owners farmhouse. It is extremely quiet and private however. It was very clean and well equipped with a comprehensive instruction booklet that provided information on pretty much everything you would need. The owners, Sam and Doon are always on hand if you require them. It is just a 15 minute walk down the hill to Port Quin, a lovely little cove. From there you can join the coastal path and head towards Lundy Bay one way or Port Isaac the other. Whilst these routes give you amazing views of the coast line, they are also very hilly and can be wet underfoot. This premises is really conveniently placed to visit the north coast towns of Tintagel, Boscastle, Port Isaac and Polzeath.
Try the Port Gaverne inn for a beer overlooking the cove or the farm shop at Boscastle for superb breakfasts and home made cake.
We would definitely visit "The Annexe" again.

Excellent we would stay again
We were met at the annex by Sam, who was very friendly and once we entered the property he gave us the heads up on the finer details and some local area knowledge, more importantly he told us where the local pub/bar was! The annex was clean, nicely decorated and felt welcoming with a cream tea in the fridge waiting for us. We found the annex ample for two people and for a lovely romantic week away it was perfect, we were surrounded by fields and sheep, which was amusing when we sat outside with our wine and cream tea.
The local area is beautiful with plenty of good walks. We walked to Port Issac and Polzeath during our stay, they both took a while but it was worth it for the stunning views. Sam runs an adventure company and we choose kayaking in Port Quin harbour, it is small but excellent for beginners and there are plenty of caves to discover. It was a great experience.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again.

September Break
From the moment we drove up to the cottage we knew we'd landed a winner here.
Quiet, peaceful and with stunning views of the farm and the sea.
The cottage is cosy, comfortable, clean, well equipped (loved the cooker) and a good space for two people.
We loved sitting in the garden overlooking the fields. When the sun shines, it is a little sun trap.
Port Isaac is only a 25 min walk over the fields and Port Quin 10 mins down the road. Port Quin is a lovely spot to take a bottle of wine to sit and watch the sun go down!
Sam and Doon were great hosts! They also run a sea adventure company, (Cornish Coast Adventures) Kayaking. Paddle Boarding and Coasteering. Do make some time to get out there with Sam and his team. You will really have the most awesome time!

We had the most excellent stay in this property. There were eight of us staying and had loads of space where we didn't feel in each other's way. The house was immaculate and had fantastic views of the sea and farm animals. We walked to Port Issac on the Friday night and watched the Fisherman's Friend singing. We will definitely be going back and hopefully sometime soon 👍😀

A very special place
We had the most wonderful week in this beautiful property with stunning views over the farm and sea from the bedroom (you do need to mind your head though on the sloping ceiling - but not a problem. All we could hear was the sound of the sheep and the birds - absolute bliss. Because of the location we visited nearby places all with stunning views. Port Isaac was a favourite especially Nathan Outlaws restaurant just by the harbour - stunning food and a real treat! We will definitely be back.
I am Sam Williams and i run the holiday lettings at Port Quin Farm Holidays. I live on the farm with my wife Doon and our 2 sons. My Dad John and brother Mark run the farm and i help them out at busy times in the summer and for most of the Winter. I also run Cornish Coast Adventures in the summer season, which offers Sea kayaking trips and Coasteering sessions along the local coastline. i am a keen surfer and have been a crew member of the Port Isaac lifeboat for nearly ten years.
Why they chose this property
The Farmhouse has been in our family for well over 140 years and is now run along with the farm and other cottages nearby by the third and fourth generation of the Williams family. The great thing about this little piece of Cornwall is that we are right in the middle of two great holiday locations Port Isaac and Polzeath but we are hidden away in the often undiscovered little gem that is the Port Quin so its nice and quiet and very often you can be the only one strolling down the lane for your morning swim in the harbour or your walk along the coast path!
What makes this property unique
Great sea and inland views, surrounded by our farmland and beautiful coastal scenery. Stones throw from lots of good surf. We are surrounded by our own 400 acre farm, so other than a few sheep and our other three cottages there shouldn't be any noisy neighbours. Parking at the farm is free and easy, theres also space for storing bikes and surfboards and even boats if required. Port Quin is a short walk down the road. We even have our own access to the beaches at Lundy bay through our cliff top fields. Port Isaac is just over the hill in the next valley. The Coast path is an amazing but challenging walk or you can take the inland footpath or small road for a more direct route to the village.
